Click to buy the yarn I use & recommend: http://amzn.to/2hujTwo Click to enter the yarn giveaway: http://wp.me/p5qpHg-Uy Click to download free pattern: http://bit.ly/1x0QWww There are a ton of arm knitting tutorials out there already. But so many of my followers still continue to request this from me. So, I put together the Crafty Gemini arm knitting tutorial. If you have struggled to learn how to make this cowl from other tutorials I hope my video will clear that all up for you. I am very thorough in my explanations and try to break everything down step-by-step while including the camera view from the same angle that you would be looking at the yarn from while making this. Arm knitting is super quick and easy. It's fun and since all you need is your hands and some yarn you can pretty much do this anywhere. You can customize the length and width of your infinity scarf or cowl any way you want once you have the basics down. I hope you'll give arm knitting a try using my tutorial and once you make one scarf or cowl you will start cranking them out by the dozens! If you enjoy this tutorial leave me a comment below and let me know. I'd love to hear from you. Thanks for watching!

Good job showing each step. Several tutorials I tried to watch had a ton of talking but not just a whole lot of explaining.

This is such a helpful tutorial! And it gave me a great idea, I think I’m going to make some of these for my mom and sisters next Christmas!

Fabulous instructions! Definitely the easiest tutorial I've watched! Thanks for your help!
Amanda Book (6 months ago)
These are great instructions! I have a question: everytime I’ve done this, (and I’ve only tried a few times) the seem where I knit the two sides together is super big and bulky. Do you have any recommendations on how to make it not so bulky?
Hannah Cornwell (6 months ago)
I made this scarf with some fluffy yarn that my sister got me! I only did 3 stitches instead of 6 from how thick the yarn was. But it turned out great!

You lost me after you did the stitching at the end. I don’t know how to sew so I wouldn’t know do it with the yarn. I’m so confused. The knitting looks very easy but just not when it comes to stitching it because the video sped up :( Thank you though for being super clear in what to do for the rest of it!

Does anyone else keep getting too much slack in one of the 2 pieces that connects your arms to each other while transferring the loops back & forth, so it looks like a loop hanging off the bottom? I've restarted about 3 or 4 times, but it keeps happening to varying degrees, and I can't figure out why :/
FrostiMintz (8 months ago)
Is there a video for the chunkiest arm knit?
Sprinkles 103 (8 months ago)
How many stitches across was the grey scarf you were wearing in the beginning?

You are a great teacher! I tried arm knitting a few years ago when I first saw it on YouTube. I ended up with a mess and was all tangled up - and decided it really wasn't for me! I decided to try it again when I saw your video - instant success! Thank you so much!

This tutorial is actually helpful! The other arm knitting tutorials I've seen don't make much sense, but this is amazing! A lot of my friends don't even know what arm knitting is, so it's fun just giving them a random scarf that they don't even know how to make ! 👍🏻 you rock!
Javier Torres (1 year ago)
Hey you!! So your video was the only video that explained this process beautifully. Thank you ! Question. When I did my scarf. It comes out flimsy. I used stitch studio by Nicole. Super bulky number 6. Yours looks more thicker and stable. Any suggestions?
Naomi Amaya (1 year ago)
OMG, thank you for your clear step by step, instructions. Can't wait to get started.

Vanessa! You are the best! Thank you for putting this video together. I get so many compliments on the cowl I made from your video here and have passed on the link lots of times. Thanks for a great tutorial! I’m a Gemini too. Aren’t we just so crafty by nature, lol. Blessings to you!

I really like ur channel and it's inspiring me to start mines. Now all I got to do is choose an area... Lolol.. Keep up the great work
Mandee Dunston (1 year ago)
Thank you! I tried 3 other videos for doing this an failed with all of them. I got yours right the first time. My issue was with most of the videos saying to slide the knot up in between swapping the stiches from arm to arm... Its not necessary. Tension is important but not moving that knot. I finished a beautiful ultra chucky infinity scarf in like 25min.

I've been knitting for years (with needles not my arm) and thought I'd try this. After watching countless videos that either bored me or confused me, THIS IS HANDS DOWN THE BEST VIDEO out there. You explain without complicating it. You're explanation of the Norwegian cast on is IMPECCABLE. I'm going to use it to teach my daughters.

I am not crafty at all! But wanted to make a gift. I have to say I say another video started and after the first stitch I wanted to give up. I could not get my fingers to make a loop. I came across this video. And.... I MADE MY FIRST SCARF! Yes I'm super excited within 45 minutes. I got a little hung up at the end. But it's all good. Practice makes perfect. I want to make a 2 color one next. I'm hooked. Thanks so much for this great video.
Alexandra Lopez (1 year ago)
I've tried watching so many arm knitting videos. I can get the slip knot and the casting done good but once I get to the part where you move it over mine turns out too loose and when its not too loose the length of yarn between my arms gets too long and when I'm done moving it over i have so much excess yarn.. I'm just about ready to give up

This tutorial has saved my sanity! I'm scheduled to do an arm-knitting demo at work in about 2 hours (never having done it before) and the written/pictured instructions I was sent were completely unhelpful. So I youtubed, found the same instructions via video, and was still so lost. But someone mentioned your tutorial in one of the comments, and now I know exactly what to do! You are amazing!! <3 Also, I just noticed that the post date for this video is my birthday. :p So it's all the more serendipitous. Thank you so much!!!

Go for it! Just go slow and take breaks if you need to or even start over. You'll get it!

This may be a silly question, but is there any way to modify this so that I could do it one-handed using my right hand only. Say by using my left foot/leg in place of my left arm. I am an amputee, lost my left arm all the way to the shoulder in 2004. I would love to be able to do this to create some awesome xmas gifts!  Please respond to me at [email protected]! Sue

This is the best video and you are a great teacher! My Mom has macular degeneration which affects her eyesight and I have been looking for a craft project she could do. We watched this video together and she wants to try one! She doe not want to wait for Lion Brand to come in the mail so I am going to a local craft/yarn store to see if I can find her some.
