Those girls were absolutely gorgeous & already crazy thin. Looking at other model shows, they would have blitzed it in. I guess this is one example of being told no when they have unrealistic expectations. If they really wanted to model, I guess they need to keep looking for someone who would accept them as they are. But honestly... why? Why would you want to work in an industry that constantly criticises you, forces you to eat like a rabbit, then puts you in clothes & shoes that don’t fit, are uncomfortable & hurt, in swimsuits in winter, winter clothes in summer so you’re constantly uncomfortable, freezing or hot & in pain. Or be forced to do nude campaigns or runways with transparent clothes, and be taken advantage of by soooo many people. And if you get to walk in runway shows, you mostly have to be as bland & boring as possible, get yelled at to get on the runway, get changed, be ready etc. all in the hope you can be one of the top 1% who make it big?
I believe that the young girl briefly shown @ the time of 5:11 could be very good - especially in a year or two.
I have learned that there are some people who possess a special skill (MOST of these people are naturally gifted, although it is somewhat possible to learn or improve these skills). This skill is the ability to look at/watch a kid in order to predict his/her potential. As a womens’ Senior, Varsity, Basketball & Volleyball coach, I am often able - after watching girls play & move, observe their ability to quickly pick up new skills & technique, see the girls’ drive & determination, look to see if the girl has the best/appropriate body-type & to see inner strength & beauty.
I have also danced (Ballet, Contemporary, Jazz, Etc) since I was 4 years old. When I grew older, I began to understand that specific body types were very important ... especially in the world of ballet. In the U.S. & Canada, we began to slowly see that some Ballet dancers are special enough to make it, despite not having the perfect body, such as; Misty Copeland, & quite a few more around the world. In Russia, though, the children applying to some of the best Ballet Schools in the world (Eg. The Bolshoi, etc) are put through a painful battery of stretches (sometimes the adult teachers actually push & force these youths’ bodies into over-stretched, pain-filled positions, much too quickly, causing pain & damaging muscles, tendons, joints, etc. A dance career is most often quite short, as it greatly wears down the body; even if the dancer is blessed with few injuries, & good health. The Russian Dance Schools place A LOT of emphasis on Body Type. A female ballerina should have a Long Neck, Small Head. Shorter torso, long legs, & have ‘good’ feet.
All the girls deserved to be major models, and the industry is changing now towards being more body positive, however Hailey was the standout from the beginning. She looks like Ana bezzaros who modeled for victoria secret for years.
I hate how they tell people to be safe because of child kidnappers and stuff but literally the way they go by it, they look like creepy people. Not only are they are so young using weird poses you know. And they expect parents to say yes smh.
I remember one time when I was about 14 me and my family were at a shoe store and I was sitting down waiting for my family to finish trying on shoes when this creepy old troll of a woman came up to me and was like "how tall are you?". I was 5'9 at the time so I told her. Then she was like "you're gorgeous what are you?" and i was like ??? and then she was like "where do you come from?" and I was like "america...?" and she was like "i mean where does your ancestors come from?" and I was like "..America" (with a bit of attitude, because I'm Native America yknow, like my ancestors literally are American) and she was like "i WaS gOinG tO AsK iF yoUD bE iNTeReSTEd in MOdELinG buT iF yoUr"e GonNa HavE aN uGlY aTtituDe TheN..." like damn, these "model scouts" are all so stuck up and rude.
Professional stalkers! That's funny and not funny at the same time.
I'm a man and I like beauty of course, but these models are, to me, not given the chance to be beautiful. I mean they are gorgeous as people, but they are displayed in such a way that makes them NOT! I don't like the two stalkers. I would like take it well if they come after my daughter.
Honestly I am praying for someone to sue all these companies and put a law against these modeling standards. They don’t realize that this is unhealthy for the models. THEY ARE STILL CHILDREN if they keep doin this soon enough they’ll have to be fed from IV drops because their body can’t process the food and they’ll throw up. Which part of this is healthy?
If two random strangers, particularly a “team” of male and female, walked up to me in a public place and said they want my child to be a model I would walk the other way immediately. Seriously, they think this is a good approach in this day and age? Like really?
They are kids and they have to worry about not eating junk food and being a certain size. That’s messed up gosh let them be kids. Every girl is beautiful it’s society that’s ugly. The modeling business proves that.
"The first thing we notice is their height." Will somebody PLEASE tell me why HEIGHT is a requirement of SEXINESS? I'm 4' 7" and would LOVE to be beautiful, but I can't be because I'll never be tall enough.
Please sign on the dotted line that we get 10% of your income for life and nothing bad will happen to you. Your daughter will never be raped or exploited by sleazy agents photogs rappers queers lesbians thrown into sex trafficking and Hollywood phonies.
I have the feeling that the modelling industry is going to get divided. More and more street chains want "street" models, plus-size, etc... because after all that's the type of people who are going to buy their clothes. I don't know if these models will be able to really have long-lasting careers. But the traditional high couture fashion companies and magazines will still look for the walking stick/boyishly shapeless bodies because what they are really selling is a dream.
It sounds like they are taking advantage of these girls first they are underage and for a parent to let their children stay to 2 strangers that claim to be model scouts is very irresponsible and one of them is a man really?
