You might consider, instead of just cutting off the excess yarn, weaving it in with a hook or needle. Many crocheters do that to make the ends more secure.
Leone Edwards (21 days ago)
I don't think you should cut the yarn so close to the knitting. I think you should weave it back into the bound off part. That way it is less likely to unravel. :)
Tuteate (16 days ago)
You are totally right. When I made this video tutorial I was quite a beginner and I didn't weave the loose ends in, just cut the yarn (and some times too close to the knitting, as I did here). I never do that anymore. Thank you so much for your comment

Where did you get the loom thing? Will michaels have something similar?
Tuteate (16 days ago)
I think Michaels should have it. You can also try looking for it on Amazon. Here my recommendations: https://www.amazon.com/shop/tuteate

How come my scarf is so lose when I put the loops over the pegs
Tuteate (1 month ago)
Maybe it is a yarn weight matter.... If your yarn is too thin, the result comes out very loose ("holey"). If your yarn is too bulky, the result comes out very sturdy. I normally use size 5, or 2 strands of size 4...

Could you please help me, I’ve got the all in one knitting board, it came with instructions which are in every language but English which is the one I want, it also came with a dvd which “is” in English version, and on it the lady talks about a “open rib stitch” but she only shows the first row and not any other rows, this stitch has you moving every second stitch over on to the stitch to it’s right ~ have you heard of this stitch and can help or point me in the right direction 🤦🏾‍♀️🤷‍♀️😬😭🙏🏿🙏🏿🙏🏿🙏🏿🙏🏿🙏🏿

Question: I love this stitch and have used it with good success with chunkier yarns (4's and 5's). Now I have a project that will use a 3, and I can't seem to find a loom with a small enough gauge to keep it from having too loose of a weave. Can this stitch be used with lighter weight yarns without using a double strand? If so, how? Thanks for any advice you may be able to give!

Hi, i am new to your channel but i have a favor to ask of you. My grandmother recently passed and she left a wooden knitting board with a started scarf on it. I would love to finish her work but i am not sure what method she was using. Would you be able to help? I would appreciate it if you could get back to me! Thank you!

Okay so I have a project that requires me to chain cast 60 out of a 62 peg rectangular loom. I haven't been able to find a video that shows how to chain cast from one side to the other. What would be your suggestion on how to do that?

I have a question. I thought I did a row wrong and started trying to undo what I had done. Now I have lost my place. Should I take it all apart or can I fix this? I'm new at this, this is my first project.

Hi Tuteate, I have tried knitting in the past with regular knitting needles and was never able to grasp it. I purchased a pack of knitting looms last year as I so badly wanted to learn to knit. I stumbled across your tutorial and was amazed as to how easy and quick I was able to pick it up. Your tutorial is so simple to follow and I am pleased to say I have created my first winter scarf. I went out and bought the exact same yarn in your video and made a 2 metre length scarf, it is wonderfully long, warm and cosy. Thank your for sharing your experience with us!
Tuteate (1 month ago)
Thank you soooo much for your nice words! (and sorry for this super late reply! I've been away for a while). I'm so glad to know you picked it up and you made a wonderful scarf! I hope you keep enjoying this beautiful technique :)

Hi how thick is your wool i'm about to do my first one and it says to use x2 pieces together but yours looks good with one
6895Anna (1 year ago)
This may sound dumb, but no matter how much i read about it I can never figure out how thick (weight?) the yarn i use for various loom knitting projects should be. Do you have any advice? Or does anyone know of a video that explains it in the simplest way possible?

what controls the size the of the stitches?? in knitting the gauge of the needles controls the size of the stitches, but that doesn't seem to be quite the case here. or at least not the single determining factor. is it how far the 2 rows of pegs are spaced apart between the top and bottom rows?? i.e. the distance between the top and bottom rows?? i wanna make me a wooden loom, but i need to know how the spacing is done, and how to adjust the size of the resultant stitches.
