Thank you, thank you, thank you! Hopefully you can get through peoples thick skulls that painting everything, that will hold still long enough, white is NOT french country.

The smaller scales that you have. Is the color the original color? or did you paint it. All the ones that are similar, that I have found have been the more industrial kind of colors. Grays, black, or some kind of metal kind of color. I was thinking if I found one that I liked, I could paint it.
LindyTN (9 days ago)
I am loving those scales and I have seen the big one in an antique mall near me. Even a white one like you have. It is $395.00. whoa. Is that the average price? Then there is the challenge of the space it takes up. It would definitely be a statement piece. I do love it, but could by a piece of furniture for the same price.
LindyTN (9 days ago)
Parisienne Farmgirl oh my, those are both a deal. There are so many types of those old scales. Antique malls are not where you find the best deals. But I don’t have the opportunities to go bargain shopping. I work full time. So if I want any of this fun stuff, I will have to pay the higher prices. Heck, I can’t even find any of the Star Dunn pottery in the retail stores and pay the cheap retail price for it. If I want it, I would have to pay the Rae Dunn price scalpers 3 to 5 times the original price for for. Lol I don’t like it that much. I can find antique ironstone stuff for that for that. Besides, when the Rae Dunn craze dies down, I will be able to find it anywhere for less than retail. I am old enough to have seen that with the craze of Cabbage Patch dolls and Beanie babies as well as a few other item craziness.
Parisienne Farmgirl (9 days ago)
LindyTN they are really expensive. $200-400. I got my white one for $60 at a barn sale but the drum up top is pretty rusty. The blue one is a baby scale (I’m assuming). The color is original. I found it covered in filth for $18 at a yard sale.

I simply LOVE all your knowledge you have and are willing to share. My mother never had a lot of money but, she always found beautiful dishes with flowers, dollies and many other things such as table clothes that she washed with love and ironed. Who knew that, it is the look that people are trying to get in there homes now. You have made me very happy. I have saved many of her precious things she acquired many years ago.

You are SO kind. Thank you for sharing all this.

I had to figure out how the internet works just so I could comment. 😉 I have binged on your channel and made my husband watch the episode about the faux fireplace-I'm smitten! I love how you have dialed back the calendar with your home! We're trying to do the same with our 1920s bungalow. Some misguided soul home-depoted the mess out of our home and it makes me so sad! Anyway, just wanted to let you know how much I love your home and I think toile is on my shopping list!

Oh my gosh this comment made me LAUGH! Thanks so much for your kind words and best wishes on your house!

Have you considered getting a good mic? The visuals are stunning and lovely and creative and beautiful but because of the poor sound, you don’t do your subject matter justice.
Parisienne Farmgirl (1 month ago)
klharndt we got one a few months ago. Glad you are enjoying!

TO DIE FOR AND YOU MADE ME CRY BECAUSE IT IS SOOOOO BEAUTIFUL!!!! I have so many problems keeping me from attaining anything like this in my kitchen, like black granite countertops, white thermopane cabinets that people tell me can't be painted or antiqued, and black granite that goes from the countertop to under the cabinets, all the way up. I thought about using the teal wallpaper you recommended on your site to cover that backsplash, what do u think? I will be watching this every day for more ideas, in the meantime, I am gonna go cry again. You have the touch, a magical one, Angela. Oh by the way, you have never been more beautiful. xxxxxxx I am gonna share this all over. Plus, did you do the drawing of your farmhouse? I love it. Do you have a pantry for all your canned goods?
Anne-Marie Cartier (1 month ago)
I had a dark granite countertop on my bathroom vanity....I used a white melamine paint and it covered like magic.....I also used it on the modern thermopane cabinetry in the bathroom. It looks amazing!...If I have a scratch or a chip from wear I just touch it up. If your paint goes a bit dry...just add some water as it is water based paint. In my kitchen I had shaker thermopane cabinetry and had them sprayed by a professional company...it was a bit pricey but so worth every penny....Hope this helps!
