I did something wrong. My initial tail keeps getting shorter. However her first 13 stitches are done and the tail is still the same length.

Omg everyone on here has such an amazingly soothing voice. Would LOVE a podcast with knitting and light conversation and/or story telling from you guys. Would easily rival the 'Sleep With Me' and 'Nothing Much Happens' podcasts :).

Great video! I'm a pretty decent knitter already but this taught me a new way to cast on, plus its great to watch while I'm knitting because your voice is really relaxing
12:16 the best advice bc that lil guy totally stresses me out o.O have to say I just starting learning but knitting is already helping me build patience and deal better with making mistakes/fails!!

I’ve been trying to teach myself and this video helped tremendously. The instructor has a very pleasant and easy going demeanor and I did a lol at her description “super creepy slow motion”!

I was able to knit my very first scarf with this tutorial. I used slightly smaller needles and wool but same basics. This video was so helpful! I'm so glad I found it. Unlike most tutorials, this one really breaks everything down for you. Many Thanks!!!!!!!!

THANK YOU for telling me not to worry about the weird loose loop at the end of the row. I’ve freaked out so many times to fix that problem, so thank you for reassuring me
Jenn Mortensen (2 months ago)
Thank you for this video! Most beginners videos are to fast to follow (for me) and I was having a hard time understanding casting off. This was SO helpful!

Where can I get the yarn in this video
Rachel Lim (3 months ago)
Wait so after you've run out of wool and attach the new ball of yarn, do you start the next row with the new yarn or continue with that little bit of arms length yarn? AM CONFUSED PLEASE HELP THANK YOUUUU
Nika 46 (1 month ago)
I think the Arm length of yawn was just a way to create a loop to begin with, so it can be sturdy on the needle but after that , it’s pretty there to be there
Nika 46 (1 month ago)
Rachel Lim i was confused too but if you watch it like 2-3 on that part, she push the extra string to the side and continued to use the string attached to the ball of yarn .

Thank you. Thank you so much for your WONDERFUL tutorial. My biggest problem with knitting tutorials is getting PAST the cast on. As soon as I start to do the knit stitch I get all fumbled. By you going in “super creepy slow motion” As you call it, made it so clear to understand. Secondly, no one breaks it down into nano steps for beginners like you do. What I mean is, instructing what hand to use and how to hold and where your yarn should be and super slow steps. It just gave me that AH HA moment that I missed in SEVERAL other videos! Plus your voice is so soothing it’s hard to get frustrated 😂😂 you’re a doll. Thanks again!

Love your voice .... I could listen to this over over.
Charlotte Sego (5 months ago)
Charlotte,, I used to hate my name when kids would say: "Charlotte fell in the toilet", but they made fun of everyone's name, and now I LOVE IT. I also love your voice! I am making the scarf with the Woll and the Gang Yarn I ordered and I love it too:). When I can't get to sleep. I turn on the video sound and your lovely voice lures me off to sleep. I hope you make another video. Maybe a hat would be nice, with a big pom pom on top. Have a wonderful day! Charlotte from Kentucky.

It's my friends birthday on the 7th of April, same day as my birthday, and she is in to fashion. I thought I should make her something like this because even if it turns out bad, she'd appreciate the fact I tried to experiment in a field she's interested in, which I am very uneducated in! WISH ME LUCK!

I freaking LOVED this video! I have never knitted before, and I wanted to just try it. And this visual, the pace she went and her instructions were excellent. I've just finished my very first scarf, and ordered some 'stuff' from Wool and the Gang. Now I'm ready to make something else! Thank you for the inspiration!

Nice. The only video to show how much you need to snip. Can I ask did that tiny bit of the tail where you snipped pop out? Or does it get hidden?
Charlotte Sego (7 months ago)
You are great at this! I hope you make other videos, for instance socks. What is the size of your needles? Length and MM? Can I purchase them on Wool and The Gang wesite? Can you tell me where to buy Wool and the Gang Yarn in Louisville KY.
WOOLANDTHEGANG (7 months ago)
We have just released a series of sock knitting videos that show you how to make our Kinda Magic Socks - Self patterning and suuuuupppperrrrr great. You can buy the 15mm needles on our website, however we no longer stock the dark rosewood needles our presenter is using here. On our website is a full list of stockists so you can find the yarn store closest to you :) Hope this helps! Feel free to email [email protected] if you have more questions.
