John Deere called our place of business and did a recall service on a piece of equipment. Our voltage meter mysteriously quit working, but we don't know when. Before or after????? Water under the bridge...
MrShanghai34 (16 days ago)
it's going to happen, no matter what, but I wouldn't want to be the first one to gouge a chunk o' rubber out of a tire... Already did that

I wish Tigercat made zero turn lawn mowers...
Demetres Robinson (4 months ago)
I remember back in the early nineties or late eighties I think you could buy those tires @ 1000 a pop.
Pete Scales (5 months ago)
what you need for them frigging wheels is a stud in the top hole so when ol wheel goes on its lined up straight away , there fuckers to line up with just bolts !!! bloody good video , laters
Gamet Logging (7 months ago)
Do u guys run tubeless or do u put tubes in them? And why?
Dale Tyler (7 months ago)
Maybe a dumb question but why not ad ballast to the tires
waiting4aliens (8 months ago)
sometimes a $20 comealong, or even a webbed strap can help with easing a large wheel

More 🤑"'NITTY GRITTY" in the daily goings on in the WOODS!!! I LOVE that stuff 😍 For our road grader and front end loaders, we had a set of (pilot studs) 3 I would put into the first three bolts out, 120 degrees offset (12 / 4 / 8 o-clock positions). They were about 3 1/ 2 inches long, tapered to about 3/8 inch on tip and that wheel would come out and off the hub 1 sledge smack, wiggle slick and clean, no hanging on hub offset, and going on slicker than greased lightning. TIM You guessed that screw { I THINK} I think he had LOTS OF AIR for that wrench !!! https://www.vanair.com/powerflex%E2%84%A2-aeh-series.html CFM Rating 40 CFM @ High Speed / 30 CFM @ idle Speed Air Pressure 150 PSI AC Generator 6.8 kW @ 60 Hz, 120 / 240V Compressor Type Rotary Screw Hydraulic Flow* Up to 13 GPM Hydraulic Pressure * Up to 3000 PSI Engine Type 25 HP Kubota® Tier 4 Final Drive System Belt Driven Fuel Type Diesel I hope this insert doesn't get anyone in trouble [ I JUST HAD TO DO THE RESEARCH ] Just a habit of 50 years of wrenching !!!! KEEP THEM CHIPS FLYING / BE SAFE

I know the guy push he lives in reform works for a tire company outta tuscaloosa and yea he don't play
David Firth (10 months ago)
Up hear in poor land we would run them tires with chains for another 3 years ahaha
cotontop3 (10 months ago)
We bought the machine with new tires, we was not taking them off just because we wanted to. Btw, we run them till we see the air come out, sometimes we run chains and sometimes we do not, it just depends on what is going on.
Adam Aydelott (10 months ago)
the vanair set up is a screw type compressor. They also have underbody compressors for anything that has a PTO, and I believe they have a compressor that is belt driven. BOSS compressors are available too. A piston type compressor no matter how many stages they have can't deliver the CFM a screw can. great videos!! Glad to see Mississippi activities! Im in Tupelo.
Jared Beaucage (11 months ago)
Damn Yall got some nice tools lol I remember me and my old boss changing. A rock truck tire with a bottle jack and wood and shovels.. literally worse day I had in the pouring rain up under that truck.. no machine lol the fella buncher came after that tire came off the rim to load it onto the trailer

Roy Newman (1 year ago)
No matter what, there's always that one.................
casey holbrooks (1 year ago)
Are they both the same height tires?
larry holleran (1 year ago)
If they used the chain sling right and had a couple of dowel pins the job would be a whole lot easier.
StumpjumperVideos (1 year ago)
I,m thinkin the same way , couldn't get my dealer to come out for wk & 1/2 to check skip in 748 h , not happy with deere no more  computerized junk !

Matt Jacobus (1 year ago)

Terry G (1 year ago)
Good video. Thanks
longearthworksllc (1 year ago)
It is a screw compressor. I like the videos. I take it you bought the 630?
Mike Buffing (1 year ago)
https://www.vanair.com looks like it a rotary screw compressor. Those things are no joke and can run max pressure at 100% duty cycle. Do you know if it was gas or diesel? When i worked in a machine shop we had a massive one with a large tank. It would reach full pressure in the morning in under 5 mins for the shop. One of the other major benefits they are quite and don't vibrate.
Dewain Woodard (1 year ago)
Great video thanks for sharing
Waylon dunkin (1 year ago)
Awesome video man.
Andy Yokley (1 year ago)
Oh and Tim I think you found your next compressor for the house. Lol that is a haws.
Andy Yokley (1 year ago)
Great video. On the tire equipment do y'all run water in the tires?
CjPiper (1 year ago)
I hope what y’all prided for installation took in consideration your work in to it🤔
Clinton Stubbs (1 year ago)
Those new tires look better on the 630e skidder. Not in logging but I see a lot of Tigercat equipment on logging jobs. More than John Deere. I think with the size of Deere and Company, they aren't as quick to innovate their logging equipment like a company like Tigercat, which is quite a bit smaller. They are also more focused than Deere. Great video as always Tim.
excavator fun (1 year ago)
That will make a huge difference , does anyone know if they have fluid in them tires? I was a fan of John Deere but not no more especially not their excavators.Or engines ,Volvo rules those departments
excavator fun (1 year ago)
I see , great vids cotontop3 I always sit down and enjoy them

MrPlumber15 (1 year ago)
love the videos but where did you get the aluminium hard hat  ?
cotontop3 (1 year ago)
I got that hat in 1996 from baileys.
Brian Gardiner (1 year ago)
When is Deere gonna learn that if they don't improve their machines they are gonna keep losing customers. All customers want is something that will get the job done without fixing little problems all the time. If they(Deere) can't keep the guys at TDK logging happy, then they have dropped the ball. If Deere cared they would be offended to see Tigercat making inroads on TDK. I see what you said about helping service people helps out. They can't say anything bad about TDK Logging. Keep up the good work on the videos. Or as Logger Wade calls it vidjas.
xcxccx xccc (1 year ago)
Let the tire guy do his job, why try and take over his operation
cotontop3 (1 year ago)
Because he would have been there till well after dark. That’s why.

A Nice video Tim. But i like johndeere logging equipment.
Kevin Harris (1 year ago)
Last set I bought back in November, that's the 35.5, I paid $3200 a piece for Tim and they came out of North Carolina. That was the price on the primex extreme, those you guys bought look like the ls-2 . Tire prices go from one end of the scale to the other. Get a price on a tire at one dealer and drive 50 more miles to another,I've seen a $500 or more dollar difference.
Jeff Prewitt (1 year ago)
No expert but looks to me like the tire fellow should have a cradle to take off and install tires....just an arm chair guys perspective. would not want to tackle this too often.
Pat Kelly (1 year ago)
Well wear with your new skidder Tim, those new tyres really set her off, class:)
Pate Farms (1 year ago)
Looks as frustrating as putting a back tractor tire on
Mike Wawrzkiewicz (1 year ago)

Mike Hornsby (1 year ago)

Brenton Medders (1 year ago)

Byron Glover (1 year ago)
I like that little tidbit of Poison "Talk Dirty to Me". ...... flashed back to my sophmore year in high school.
Jason Rowe (1 year ago)
You could really tell the difference in height when you back her up, had a good lean on it between the two sizes. She’ll pull now.
Cardiackid Jones (1 year ago)
Nice heavy duty tires looks like. BTW I saw a brand new Tiger 635 on a flat bed rolling down the road Columbus, Ohio) the other day and thought of you Tim When I was at the Paul Bunyan Show last year to see you, I talked with a representative from TC and he informed me that a new 635 unit costs about $450,00.00. Logging ain't cheap that is for sure.
Kevin Carver (1 year ago)
Awesome video Tim. Later
Royce Abbott (1 year ago)
It’s too bad tigercat doesn’t make equipment for us in the dirt business.
Junior Raines (1 year ago)
Good video tim those new tires look good on that 630 tell Chad you don't want that pretty yellow paint on them to get scuffed
Wavy Dustin1 (1 year ago)
Nice video Tim keep up the good work 👍👍👍
bbyeahwhatever (1 year ago)
Surprised to see that size boom on a bigger truck like that. I have that exact same boom on a Ram 5500. Of course it’ll drag that Ram around.
Denise Corey (1 year ago)
The company I work for use 848 jd
Kyle Salter (1 year ago)
Great video Tim. Not going to beat tigercat equipment
Mike L (1 year ago)
Do you like the 35.5's because they dig better for hard ground? The 44 's are better for swampy bottom land but you guys don't log much swampy land do you?

New tires on the skidder, man I don't want your bills! We had an old pulp wood hauler down here, somebody asked him when would he change tires. He said he would run his till he could see the air in them LOL
DeHaven Family Farm (1 year ago)
You made the right choice buying that machine. Those tires should last a while!
kory league (1 year ago)
For all the people worried about the tire with the split in it. It'll make your rearend pucker when it blows. We changed a similar on an AG floater. Got the new one on the rim and the sidewall blew I swear it jumped a foot off the ground. Great video tim
kory league (1 year ago)
jvanlieu yes I'm aware of that. I was referring to the size of the tire and what it's like when they blow
jvanlieu (1 year ago)
kory league Ag floaters and skidder tires are totally different animals, even though they look similar
stedder8436 (1 year ago)

I could see old Tommy trying to come back and run that new skidder...
Ron Aaserude (1 year ago)
that's a big job!
fastst1 (1 year ago)
I'd give you a nickel if you came at that wheel with your Milwaukee cordless ;)
CrossesbyCharlie (1 year ago)
I think those are what Steve Billow has on his three wheeler
Shaun Sewell (1 year ago)
Good video bud but your still not comparing the skidders right you can't compare a G model deere to a 630E. Get an 948L an put beside it an you will see we have two 948Ls an I've had tigercats to tigercat is good equipment but deere has made a come back with the L series!
cotontop3 (1 year ago)
Gotta keep in mind that Deere didn’t even have the L series out when that 630 was built. Also the price of the 948 compared to what u can buy a new 630 for.
Les R (1 year ago)
Great video , your understanding of equipment of all types you have a great asset of being able to film this stuff to be so very interesting .who would think that you would watch or I would watch tires being put on that was quite an awesome truck so awesome that even that small worker was able to do a A+ job you've got to do that nowadays if you find somebody that's willing to work make it as easy as you can for them and they'll be around for a long time
joe tiller (1 year ago)
What you need is one bolt with head cut off to get rim lined up.
TB (1 year ago)
Was just about to say the same thing. I have a set of bolts with out heads and 5 inches of smooth shank for my tractors and the skidded.
Randy Rhodes (1 year ago)
good stuff as always, thumbs up !!
Kenny Mysak (1 year ago)
They have a great setup looks like they can handle just about anything.Keep up the great video's
Jeff Campbell (1 year ago)
We used the log loader to rip them off the rims. Putting them back on was a different story.
timmy frierson (1 year ago)
That bad boy ought to pull now which I know it will going from 44's to the 35.5's. Heck it even looks better. Can't wait to see the 635 and 630 both pulling to Kevin, that'll be some good videos.
Mark Pontes (1 year ago)
Looks Like an Expensive Day!!Why New Rims?
cotontop3 (1 year ago)
Those tires wouldn’t fit the rims that were on it
Ken Gamble (1 year ago)
Glad you showed that Tim, interesting ! Question, are those tires filled with anything, other than air ? Thanks for sharing and take care. 👍 👍
Ken Gamble (1 year ago)
cotontop3 Thanks
cotontop3 (1 year ago)
Just air
Jeremy Patton (1 year ago)
That thing ready to eat now.
Dale Braun (1 year ago)
Enjoyed the "new shoes" video. Was it easier using your machine to line up the lug holes on that last tire?
Cynthia Herr (1 year ago)
Race ready..lol You and King busted some butt today..lol Great Vid. Tim Take Care out there..
Vic Reece (1 year ago)
Has to stink to have your crane go out on you on the last tire
Threejdad (1 year ago)
If ya got any of them old tires around and you are mean enough they make a great 3point box blade I've done a few you've got to want a rubber blade pretty bad but if can be done good video thanks
Threejdad (1 year ago)
cotontop3 a hotsaw to get through the cable in the bead then a wormdrive skilsaw the rest of the way cut a few inches let the blade cool off then a few more I use it to clean cow barn twice a day it doesn't wear the concrete slick cattle don't do slick very good at all
cotontop3 (1 year ago)
I don’t think I want one that bad lol. What do u use to cut one of those tires with?
Mark Mortensen (1 year ago)
Great video and loved seeing those big tires. That things a monster and would love to see it working some steep ground.
