Mensa members are idiots who convinced themselves that IQs are Dragon Ball Z powerlevels. My IQ is at a Mensa-accepted level yet I got none of these dumb trivia questions correct.
Crypto Master (12 days ago)
Smartest ppl in the world gather together to eat and play games... Wow!
James Wick (24 days ago)
I'm honestly relieved that these two admitted that the answers are not always quick. I can do really well on IQ test sometimes but other times it's the timer that kicks my ass.

wow the questions are kind of idiotic

All these negative comments. Imagine an average IQ person hanging around with people of 70/80 IQ (retardedation) that's how they feel when conversing with a normal person.

this can´t be real, you can´t measure intelligence by knowledge you get from exercising maths. I love math, I love patterns, but loving math might made me a bit more smart, but it couldn´t have made me more intelligent since its a biological thing. Shows how smart these people really are. I probably couldn´t solve those math tests they gave if I was where I was not interested in math.

shows how much IQ really means, have fun with your diabetes and trivia questions lmao I bet they put themselves on such a pedestal
beastmasterbg (2 months ago)
The stupidity and irony of this is that supposedly you would take care of yourself if youre more intelligent and understand what to do to get what you want. And know that you can perfect everything. If you have a high IQ you have the capacity to be almost perfect in every aspect of your life. Physical, mental, emotional, practical, and money wise. Yet the Smart people i always see are fat and others lazy and others ignorant to the point denying some truths. That just leaves me to believe that IQ is almost not a factor at all to be something. My IQ is 115 by the way. Its a bit above average but thats it. And when i try to surpass my limits i can see the wall that shows my limitations but the only difference between me and someone with a high IQ is that he will learn something in a week or 3 days that will take me 2 weeks to learn. Thats it nothing more. Whats left is control discipline and hard work.
omackeyblack (5 months ago)
Intelligence quotient means a lot to a lot of people. A study has shown that per IQ point the amount someones salary would increase or decrease by is 0.5% to 1.2% which doesn't seem like much, but if we look at people with an IQ of 160 their salary ,on average, will be 30% to 72% higher than people with an IQ of 100. and the diabetes part was also borderline imbecilic. To suggest that all people with high IQ's are diabetic is such a brobdingnagian generalisation and i assume that you know how moronic it is. When you said "I bet they put themselves on such a pedestal." you're assuming that being in Mensa would make you more egotistical when that wouldn't usually be the case: if a person had a high IQ they wouldn't need the test to realise they are academically or artistically more superior to those around them and it depends on the person, whether they'd put themselves on said pedestal because of their IQ or joining Mensa or know about their astronomically high IQ and not believe themselves to be the best person on the Earth. Having a high IQ does not mean you'd only be good at trivia questions, it also means you'd be able to apply it to problems and solve them much quicker than people like you. so in conclusion you're incredibly dull.

xXMr.InfinityXx (1 year ago)
there is an 6 year old kid that is as smart as einstein but it doesnt matter xD yeah einstein made o lot of thing for humans but they are intelligender at a other way the can do other things they could ez build that what einstein builded
Jaebee Belonio (1 year ago)
for people who is saying why they can't figure out how to lose weight it is because if you are smart you can't really balance your physical and mental state
Connall Booper (10 months ago)
Lmao this is the stupidest thing I’ve ever heard
Personally, it strikes me as a jerk off convention. If your smart, then you don't need to truly prove it with a meaningless test.

Question at 1:58 can also be solved by seeing the difference between number as difference between 1and 2 is 1 , and difference between 2 and 4 is 2 , so just like that the difference between 11 and ? Must be 5 .
xXMr.InfinityXx (1 year ago)
yeah thats exactly what she did if u see that the difference goes up by 1 u just have to do 11+5 if the one before is 7+4

would that make me stupid since i only weight 102 pounds?
Mark Dec (1 year ago)
That does not make any sense. I mean let's compare North Korea to the USA. In N. K. the national average IQ is 106, while in the US it's 95, or something like that. Although you said, that "the smarter you are, the fatter you are" many americans go from chubby to obese (Not everyone, for sure). But how can it be, that literally everyone in N. K. is starving (Yes, K. Jong-Un is an exception)?

w23857980 lower the IQ, more prone to making " higher the IQ, the fatter you are " statements which deviate drastically from logical reasoning.
死的人走從這裡 (1 year ago)
Forthrightly, I have no cupidity to join the ranks of "Mensa". I should expect if I were to nidificate with its affiliates, I would have to elucidate even the most trivial of my deductions to the point of tedium. Thus, I choose to remain unencumbered of their conglomerate. Such are the tribulations of an enlightened bellwether such as myself.

In Spanish, mensa is the feminine form of menso, and roughly translates to "stupid". So if you have trouble trying the test and you say "To hell with this stupid test", don't feel bad.

That second question. I answered cherries, because I couldn't come up with a food that had pears in it. But I could with cherry because cherry pie lol. I guess that's one way to solve the riddle.
Erik Hjerpe (1 year ago)
Ok, so for the second question that goes cookies but not cake, mutton but not lamb, okra but not squash, couldn't pears go before cherries because pear is after cherries alphabetically?
Simply Sookie (1 year ago)
No cause cake is before cookies
Jane Corley (1 year ago)
No.
dj wilims (1 year ago)
am I watching the wrong videos or is mensa just about riddles I was thinking of Einstein humans
Lone Wolf (1 year ago)
It's about being able to figure things out by seeing patterns, etc. The majority of the population isn't very good at it.
Cameron F (1 year ago)
Wow she wants to be in Mensa so bad.
mikelheron20 (1 year ago)
Hey! If you send Mensa a cheque for £55 - £85 (I've heard both figures quoted, not sure which is correct) you can officially pretend you're smarter than other people. I decided that the really smart thing to do is hold on to my money.
Andrew Ricklefs (8 months ago)
Turns out there's a step in that process that you seemed to have left out...
Jane Doe (1 year ago)
right on lone wolf
Lone Wolf (1 year ago)
Nah, what you "decided" to do is not take the test because you're afraid you'd fail.

Golden Voice (1 year ago)
I figured these out by using a paper and pen but really what's the big deal? This means nothing in the real world.
Zeklore (6 months ago)
Golden Voice It's not the fact that you can solve riddles. It is a way of measuring intelligence. If you are able to solve complex patterns it means you are more intelligent
dj wilims (1 year ago)
Golden Voice think about this too if your looking things up while taking a test, wouldn't you remeber some of the things you looked up

Is Rotogenflux Methods helpful to increase your IQ of 23 points? We have learn many good things about Rotogenflux Methods (do a google search).
bimmjim (2 years ago)
I'm not impressed with word puzzles. Try this: If a block weighs 7/11 ths of a block plus 8 kilograms, how much does a block weigh? . . . . . (That is seven elevenths)
Joel Andersson (2 years ago)
+Mega Balqizs Oh, of course. Now I feel really silly. I was focusing way too much on my interpretation of the question that I completely missed that. U should take a shot at Mensa. It's fun.
Mega Balqizs (2 years ago)
Hy bimjimm somehow I didnt get your notification of my comment :D thanks for your kind word hahaha I think the question was a bit out of date to answer now ;) , but anyway it was great question and I've been thinking to take Mensa test lately, the one they showed in the video seems tad easy tho. Any tips what should I expect on the test ?
Mega Balqizs (2 years ago)
Joel, you look at it wrong :) its (7/11 of X) + 8 = X ---Obviously X = 11/11 of X--- since 11/11=1 which left us with: (7/11 of X) + (4/11 of X) = X meaning: 4/11 of X = 8 X=8(11/4)= 22 It's not a trick question :) the question itself is pretty smart, hope my explanation help, bit hard articulating math in youtube comment section lol I have a relative who is a psychologist who tested me on few intelligence and behavioral test, always scored quite well in the IQ part, haven't try MENSA yet. But thinking about doing it here, where I study in Malaysia.
Joel Andersson (2 years ago)
Are you sure about that? If a block weighs X, and X is 7/11 of (X+8), and 7 is like 63,63% of 11, then X=0,6363(X+8) -> X=0,6363X+5,0909 and since 0,6363X+0,3637X is the only thing that's going to make a whole X it means that 5,0909 is about 36,37% of X. 5,0909/36,37=0,139975 1/100 of X is 0,139975 which means that X is 13,9975. Final answer: A block weighs 13kg and 997,5 grams. I'm in Mensa myself and this is the only answer I can come up with. Am I missing something? Is it a trick question? Am I crazy? I am currently unable to think outside the box.
bimmjim (2 years ago)
. Thank you Mega. That is correct. I authored that question myself and have asked it to about 100 Mensa members. Only about 10% of *them* can answer it correctly. I score above the one percentile in both reading comprehension and math which is what this kind of problem requires. . Here is another one I wrote: What two countries border on both Switzerland and Austria? (Don't look at a map.) . The author of the IQ test has to be smarter than the smartest person who takes the IQ test, am I right? . How do you occupy your gigantic brain? . Have you wondered about the definition of 'wisdom' ?
Betsy Collins (2 years ago)
The Fibonacci Sequence!
Allegro T (2 years ago)
Nah it isn't. With the Fibonacci sequence, you add the previous two numbers. In this question the amount that you add just increases by 1 each time.

Mole (9 months ago)
It is not true, we always search for most optimal ways of doing ANYTHING. Build more efficient engine, bulb, faster, smaller, longer battery life, better society or worst. It is objective that poverty will not bring happiness to poor people, it is objective that murder brings suffering and... many, many more. Moral life is no different then optimization of other aspects of life. There are sub-optimal ways of living. Sure, high intelligence will NOT determine if you are moral person. Super intelligent person can be a MONSTER or a SAINT. Smarter way is to be a SAINT, but you don't have to be smart to be one.
Truth (9 months ago)
You should see a Mensa meeting. There are a lot of very socially awkward people there. High IQ facilitates a need for deep discussion, so many of us don't meet socially as well as most people do (since most people have an IQ of about 100)
Connall Booper (10 months ago)
Mole there’s an opinion on how to do something, my way that is “best” could be completely different than yours, there is no best, only it is as it is
Mole (10 months ago)
Why not? There is always the best way to do ANYTHING.
