http://grafxtv.com - Logo Design - in this tutorial, I show you the steps I took to design the logo for Autoworkx. I used Adobe Illustrator. I also go through tips to design good logos. You can design using photoshop but I recommend Adobe Illustrator because it is a vector based program. Don't forget to subscribe, share, like and leave your comments! Just throwing this out there...The name of the business was AUTOWORX. You designed a logo for AUTOWORKX.

Thank you for describing the process. I might be wrong but it seems the "W" image isn't symmetrical; was bugging me for a fair portion of the video, and had to say something haha.

What command did you use for aligning ?

Thanks. I haven't used Inkscape, from what I hear, it is a great alternative for illustrator and it's FREE.

Taa Mac . Great tut as usual . Thoughts on Inkscape vs illustrator ?

Save it as a .png. Make sure the logo has a transparent background. To add it to a business card just drag the logo onto photoshop or indesign.

I am glad the tutorial helped you, thanks for the feedback.

The size dosen't really matter. If you want to save it for print, I normally drag the design into indesign and save as pdf

What size is the canvas in illustrator? Does it matter if your going to save it for print?

Whoa steering wheel, a spanner and a W cool
Audrey's Crazy Life (5 years ago)
What kind of program did you use?
MAKTV (5 years ago)
during the research, logos with spanners were too common so we advised the client to take a different alternative.
MAKTV (5 years ago)
During the research stage we noticed that the crossed spanners was commonly used so we suggested a different alternative design.
Joash Berkeley (5 years ago)
The logo you designed is awesome. The only thing I was wondering, didn't the client ask for something specific in the design brief? (the spanners being crossed). Anyway, keep up the good work :)

Good Try.. But he wrench "W" icon isn't perfectly symmetrical.. Try cutting it down the middle and mirroring it, then put them together via pathfinder..

Thanks guys : )

the symbol is good but the W is pratically unreadable... I can read Auto OrkX. Maybe reshape that symbol similar to font or the opposite. Just my opinion man, your technique is very good.
