Why a fishing town in Pakistan is changing the world’s geo-political landscape!
A small fishing town in the South-West of Pakistan, Gwadar is the gateway city of China's $62 Billion China Pakistan Economic Corridor.
A deep sea port strategically located in the Indian Ocean at the opening of the Strait of Hormuz.
Pakistan leased Gwadar Port to China in 2015 as part of a $62 Billion deal.
China also acquired 22,000 acres of land adjoining the port in Gwadar which has been declared a Special Economic Zone.
A 1224 Kilometre highway is being built from China ending in Gwadar emulating the ancient Silk Road
Gwadar will link the Silk Road on land with the Maritime Silk Road
The new Silk Road reduces shipping times for Chinese goods to the Middle-East, Africa and Europe by up to 80%.
Gwadar is being developed under the model of China's Shenzhen through the establishment of Special Economic Zones.
Shenzhen was amongst the fastest growing cities in the world growing from a population of 30,000 in 1979 to 10 Million in 2017 with a GDP of $294 Billion!
Zhang Baozhong, the Chairman of China Overseas Port Holding Company said “China plan to spend $4.5 billion on developing Gwadar.”
In November 2016 the first cargo travelled the Silk Road from Kashgar in China to Gwadar and shipped out from Gwadar to the Middle-East and Africa.
Currently there are some 2000 Chinese personnel in Gwadar this number is projected to grow up to 500,000 by 2023.
There is a geo-political shift happening in the world and Gwadar is at the heart of this.

countries suffering from poverty like Bangladesh and nepal are supporting Pakistan just bcoz they are jealous of mighty india... Bangladeshis and Nepalese using indian food grains , petrol and automobiles are barking against us ... shame on u people😂😂😂
cpec will fail china is already crying in back stage by this project... Chinese are faceing water problems over there no individual intellectual in Pakistan they are not supportive coz Pakistan doesn't have good engineers and Pakistan is full of morans and uneducates in field of science and technology... Chinese are fed of this Pakistanis cpec will complete in 2025 till thn china will suffer from economic loss and it will trade through chahabar... Pakistan will cry sitting hideing in there houses without money, water and poverty ...
How on earth is this benefiting the Pakistanis??🇵🇰
1.the Port is on lease
2.chinese present is expecting to increase by 500,000.
3 the Chinese are bring in their own employees.
4. The Chinese want to bring in their military to protect the Chinese assets.
5 they have access to the fishing zone which they will deplete in a couple yrs
Really Pak will growth such tie up with China and Pak has the advantage of neighbouring Islamic countries. India lost so much of land to Chinese agression in North east India right from Nehru period. Hope India will really grow in par with Pak with the help of its relations with Japan and Korea.
For anyone who thinks this is good news and that China is some kind of beacon of hope, clearly you havent read about what has happened to countries in Africa and South East Asia. They entrap you into debt and obtain much of your national assets, companies and even wealth reserves. Its already happening in Zambia now having to resort to using the Yuan as their currency and Malaysia having to sell off their electricity and automobile industry to pay off such debts.
Knight Royale why you don’t say China trade with rest of the world to steal too? Guess you are the genius in the world, all the personal from different countries are stupid. Russia get their technology stolen and still partner with China. Everyone that partner with USA automatically upgrade themselves into uncorrupted country, intelligent, and beacon of hope for humanity
Omni Mino china is partnering with russia for defence imports and to steal their tech. Meanwhile the guy just said about south african countries. So there's no point in naming them. Phillipines? They have to do it coz theres no other way.And mexico ? Like wtf. its just for trade. Do google it first and ""properly"" before talking.
Gwadar ports is heading for failure like the Hambantota port in Sri Lanka. The CPEC loan installment is starting soon but there is negligible revenue coming from Gwadar port to pay for it.
Shipping activity report on 25th Feb as per marinetraffic.com for last 30 days...Number of ships arriving in Gwadar port=0....Number of ships arriving in Chabahar port=14.
Shipping activity report for 25th Feb as per marinetraffic.com...Number of ships in Gwadar port=0....Number of ships in Chabahar port=4
this is wat italy says
Makaveli.....Dumbwit..No ship has made a port call in Gwadar since 17th Jan. Khunjerab pass is also closed till April so don't expect any traffic from CPEC route either. Gwadar is being used as a port for fishing trawlers for now so enjoy some fish which is good for your vitality as the Chinese will soon be after you for their installment.
THe report card of Gwadar port till end of Jan18 is not so good:
1) Gwadar Expo 2018 was a failure. Only 1234 visitors instead of 5000-6000 forecasted. Also most visitors were real estate agents, paint dealers, tile dealers, GDA employees, Gwadar ki aam public, students etc. and not investors.
2) Only 2 ship have arrivaled in the whole month, on 3rd Jan and 17th Jan.
3) Regular COSCO shipping line service from Gwadar as promised by Chinese still not started.
4) Transshipment still not started in Gwadar.
5) No containers are coming from Kasghar as Khunjerab pass is closed till April 2018.
Makaveli....Village Idiot...Gwadar also has severe water problems as basically it is in a desert area and has no natural water sources nearby. The nearest rain water storage Dam is 32km away but runs dry within 6-7 months after rains are over. A few unfortunate people who have constructed houses in Gwadar have to buy all their water from tankers which is very expensive. No estate agent will ever talk about this problem as their business is impacted.
The Chinese have smartly build a small RO plant for their own use as their accommodation is inside the port area near its entrance gate. Anyway no city in the world can survive on RO water alone because of the very high cost of such water.
Makaveli...Low IQ retart...Every cargo ship in now required to register with International Maritime Organization as mandated by UN. The location of each cargo ship is transmitted by GPS 24x7 and can be seen on their website. Also the number of ships making port calls at each port in the world can be tracked.
Makaveli....Unread peabrain..The so called free zone has just 2 empty buildings right now and nothing more. Infact the exhibition was in one of those empty buildings. The whole of Gwadar and surrounding region has no electricity of its own and imports 100mw from Iran of which 40mw is for Gwadar city and port and balance for surrounding areas. The construction of Gwadar Power Plant has still not commenced and will take minimum 3 years to complete from date of start. Till then no SEZ, heavy industries, Oil terminal or any such electricity intensive industry can be set up in Gwardar. Enjoy fish for atleast 3 years more as it is good for health. And yes, use google for searching updates on Gwadar before commenting. Google is not just for searching animal porn.
Pakistan, please kick out shit hole America out of Pakistan. Your most favourable nation and strategic ally is China. You do not need America at all. Open serious cooperation with Iran and you guys will move mountains like no other nations.
Im an India
I must say, Indians are really jealous of Pak-China friendship
India is isolated like never before, all thanks to our illiterate PM
Once(Nehru) we led South Asia, now these illiterate hindu Terrorists have made a joke out of India
During Nehru period we lost so much our land to China by its aggression. Moreover China have the advantage of Stable communist nation and strong law and order. We have lot of disadvantages in the name of communal violence, diverse culture, so many languages and hardcore corruption.
yovikrant raje. Indians are in no position to say Nepal is filthy. All travelers know that they should land in Kathamandu before going to india. It's a cleaner version of India and let's travelers get used to the dirtiness before going to India.
Namo Munglang. India does not build infrastructure. That's why it's so poor. Pakistan now has a port, cheaper energy, a highway from North to south linking to Central Asia. Plus numerous industrial parks. It will overtake India very soon.
very nice video, long live pak- china friendship
for all of those that are saying that it will be a devastating project for pakistan, then they are wrong
china wants to develop itself as well as pakistan
china is a all weather and time tested friend
china has helped pakistan during 1971 war by vetoing the resolution in UN that wants a unfair and one sided trail on pakistan
Does China own Gawadar Port and City now or they are still Pakistani properties?
Why China is not letting Pakistan to make its own economic zone alongside the CPEC?
Does China want to colonize Gawadar in near future?
One million Chinese will move to Pakistan and will steal one million jobs of Pakistani people which will create a bloody civil war between Pakistani and Chinese.
China wants Pakistan to pay back the amount that China has spent on CPEC with 18% interest rate, so what type of friendship is that?
Is Pakistan going to become a slave state of China?
Will Pakistan become a victim of Chinese New World Order after spending 70 years of slavery under the American and British New World Order?
Why China didn't support Pakistan after 9/11 attacks when American President George Bush threatened Pakistani President Pervez Musharraf on phone about throwing Pakistan to Stone Age?
Why China doesn't warn America about its Drone attacks on Pakistani kindergarten children and adults?
Why China doesn't make it clear to America, England, France, Israel, India, and the rest of NATO states that they are the real terrorists in the entire game, and fight against terrorism is fake because 9/11 attacks were done by American, Israeli, British, and Saudi Arabian government and agencies?
Why China doesn't kick India out of BRICS?
Why China doesn't take Pakistan on board before investing in India and Israel and before meeting Israeli and Indian Prime Ministers? Recently BRICS accused Pakistan for harboring terrorists, because India pushed China, Russia, South Africa, abd Brazil to accuse Pakistan for harboring terrorists, so what type of friendship China is displaying here, knowingly that India has been supporting terrorist attacks in Pakistan since 2001 that has left 70 thousands Pakistani dead including 5000 Pakistani military soldiers???
