How wide is the scarf with this type of loom? Please let me know. Thank you.
Meli C (11 days ago)
The Sweetest Journey Thank you.
The Sweetest Journey (12 days ago)
It's about 7-8 inches wide.
MILDRED PIERCE (23 days ago)
It is not necessary to use a crochet hook to bind off.
MILDRED PIERCE (23 days ago)
Instead of pushing the loops down one peg at a time with the loom hook, run your finger through the middle of the loom across. All the loops on both sides of the loom are pushed down all at once.
The Sweetest Journey (23 days ago)
I wish I could do that with my loom, it would save me time, but the pegs have indentations at the top, like a hook, and because it's plastic, the yarn gets stuck easily. I have to unhook one by one because if I forcibly push them down, the pegs end up tearing at the yarn.
Evelyn DeLeon (24 days ago)
The sweetest i completed to the end but why the hoop are bit widw what i start it wrong in the begining can it be the medium yarn or is it me
Evelyn DeLeon (22 days ago)
Thank you for respond What had done start a new one and on the fisrt set of row i pull each yarn one at a time and oull to tighten omg it really work even on that same row after pulling each one at the i cut it and made a knot. The continue with the 8 came out super..
The Sweetest Journey (24 days ago)
It depends, if you are wrapping the yarn around the pegs too loosely, that can cause the hoops to be wide. If not, it could be the yarn. Sometimes when the yarn is thinner you can end up with wider hoops than when using bulky yarn.

Interesting. I notice from watching other videos two things: #1. You don't match up your second wrap to mirror your first row when wrapping it like other knitters; which leads to a crisis cross pattern. Your end product seems ok with a pretty braid look on one side but a little different braid on the reverse...which leads to #2...you always end up with 2 loops on your end pegs when other knitters have only have 1 and will skip that stitch till the next row. Seems everyone on YouTub has a different routine.

I'm going to give this a try. You were very clear spoken and great video angle. Thank you.

I'm excited to try this. I can't do counted cross stitch any more, but I think I could do this. You're instructions are great!!!

Does this method of knitting a scarf produce a flat-edged scarf? I used a loom once before and the pattern made the edges roll in.
The Sweetest Journey (1 month ago)
Yes, it will be flat. I usually use this pattern and I haven't had one roll up.

Where did you get your loom? I noticed the ends can be added to.
The Sweetest Journey (3 months ago)
I bought mine at Walmart. It's from the brand Boye and it came in a set with 3 other looms of different sizes. Although I haven't used them this way, they can be opened up as well. 😊

Is it possible to make it with two colors?
salah falcon (5 months ago)
The Sweetest Journey Thank u 😊
The Sweetest Journey (5 months ago)
Yes, you could attach a different colored yarn after finishing with one section of one color and alternate between the two to make stripes, or larger color blocks.

I'm excited I got one for MOTHERS DAY !!🙌🙌THANK U FOR THIS VIDEO
Ichiko Kosaka (7 months ago)
how long does it take to make it?
The Sweetest Journey (6 months ago)
It really depends on your own speed. If you want to finish it all in one day it could take 1 or 2 hours. Personally, I work on these for a few minutes each day until I finish it.

Next time you make a video can you put the camera behind you? Its so confusing when your looking at the video backwards. It would b alot easier if we were seeing what your doing like your seeing it. Ive watched your video several times and cant figure it out. Slow motion is a ➕. Thank you.
A Syzdek (8 months ago)
Beginning is easy but casting off is very confusing. Will not use this video again.
Sheila Patterson (8 months ago)
I love your video! Can you tell me about how long it takes you to knit one scarf? Thank you!
The Sweetest Journey (8 months ago)
It really depends. It probably takes one or two hours if I work on it all at once, but what I usually do is knit a little bit of it every day for a few minutes.
Thanks for sharing your info!

Loved your pace, I like it too slow, better than too fast. Most videos by others are not slow enough, and their hand action is confusing. Keep the tutorials coming ! Thank you for sharing!

Loom Knitters (my loom knitting process is below **), I need help!!! I have made two beautiful scarves on my round plastic knitting looms. They turned out beautifully I however now, need some additional instruction. On a new scarf I am in the process of making (I am only 2 rows from the end!), I realized that I accidentally (maybe 10 rows ago) added 2 extra rows to one of my colored stripes. That throws off my whole pattern. Someone PLEASE, please tell me there is a way to remove my project from the loom. Pull out all of the rows until I reach and have removed down past my two extra rows and then am able to reattach the project to the loom pegs and continue on knitting as before. **My process was to "E Wrap" till I have three wraps on each peg, then I lift the bottom wrap up and over the top, leaving two wraps on each peg. Once there, I again E Wrap on all pegs, again pulling the bottom loop up and over the tops. I do this again and again, until I have a hat or scarf. That is the pattern I used. I am hoping beyond hope there is a way to be able to pull all my wraps off until I am at the extra knitted rows. Pull them off, then place my piece back on the loom and continue on. Am I dreaming or can this be done? A how-to video, or even series of pics would help me if there is. But, a description would be great as well. Anything that would help me. Thank you.
WarmBeachWoman (10 months ago)
The Sweetest Journey I tried that, thank you. I got e everything back on, but somehow the "stitches" became loose. Maybe I'll get better with experience. Thanks again.
The Sweetest Journey (10 months ago)
Usually I do pull off the loops from the pegs and unravel it carefully, then place the loops back on the pegs. But the type of loom and pattern I use are different, so I don't know if it might turn out to be a bit more complicated for yours. I did, however, find these two videos, both of which show how to remove your work from the loom, unravel it, then place it back on the loom. Hopefully, it can help you. 😊 https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TL6JjRRbw-A https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=h9uZwks9dzU

I wish it was slowed down a bit for the beginner.
Kim Possible (2 months ago)
Lol. And when we get good at it everyone says, "wish you could go faster! " Idk about other mobile versions but on my ipad and android (note 8) I don't have the option to adjust the speed. It can be done on my desktop but strangely there's all together different settings on YouTube for mobile devices. But there's always PAUSE and REWIND. and I use those often. ( :
breda walsh (10 months ago)
Do you see the cog on the right side of the video you can slow it down to any speed you want .
Beadaholic94 (10 months ago)

i have a size 4 yarn with a little less than 236 yds (my cats mussed the end of a string up a bit). would it work with this pattern?
Maria Zaruba (11 months ago)
Good job. Thanks
My loom is squeezing together in the middle. How do I keep this from happening?
Brittany Williams (11 months ago)
I just bought a Boye loom set like that yesterday and it has an empty pegs on it like yours in the video. Should I take it back and if not do you know the purpose of an empty peg? The instructions sure weren't clear thus I'm straight lost!
The Sweetest Journey (11 months ago)
Well, in my loom the pegs on the sides can be removed and the loom opens up. I haven't yet used it like this, but I believe you can use it for single knitting. Meaning you knit one single layer instead of two.

Ashley S (11 months ago)
You make it so much easier than the book it came with but it is still kinda hard to follow
Heather Saldanha (11 months ago)
Thanks but that second row is the problem I do not get two loops on one end peg . One end peg always has one loop.it is left side one row and next time it is right side. If you did not keep turning your loom, one could follow you better. I have been using round looms but long loom is new to me.
bailey lucas (9 months ago)
hi you all need turn speed down on it you see more try I did pick right up God Bless Bonnie
The Sweetest Journey (11 months ago)
Starting at 1:38 you can see how to wrap the two end pegs with the second loops. You start at the end peg closest to you, which is the last place the yarn wrapped around, then you bring the yarn straight to the other end peg. You wrap it around and bring it back to the peg you had started from. You're making a figure eight from the top peg to the bottom peg. Does that help?
Khalia Marking (11 months ago)
This is very useful, much better than the shitty instructions in the book. Every single time I start a new scarf I forget how so I need something like this every time. Thanks I'm saving this video :)

How do you have a video. I'd like to do that, but I can't figure out how. Thanks

I just cannot figure out how you get 2 loops on every peg . I have watched your video several times but you keep turning the loom around so it is difficult to follow.

There are lots of other videos you can watch. Just look up figure 8 stitch on the loom.
bailey lucas (9 months ago)
hi you need turn speed down on the video and you will pick up easy I did if you use worsted #6 yarn u wont need two rows but I have so much 4 worsed yarn yarn double up two rows each time it dose work take your time, when get upset walk away and watch it over and over then do it with video and you will get it God Bless my new friend Bonnie
