Lost At Sea - Jet Ski - Shot With Gopro - Samsung Galaxy S5 Saved Our Lives - Williams Family Fun
The Gopro recorded us jet skiing at 110 miles (exaggeration) an hour. After hitting a huge wave we flew about 40 feet away from the jet ski. It was very difficult to swim with the waves and the life vest. The waves pushed us further and further away from the jet ski and from each other. Thanks to emergency 911 dialing on the water resistant Galaxy S 5 we were able to contact 911/EMT and were rescued by the sheriff/Coast Guard. We were found by the coast guard 45 minutes later. It was around 6pm when they found us. Thank God becaseu it was starting to get dark. Everything was caught on filmed with a Gopro Hero 3+. I had to marry this guy after this experience! He kept me at peace the entire time. He kept telling me to stay calm when all I could think about was sharks ripping my feet off. We are now married with our irst child and loving our adventurous happily ever after. #GoPro #Samsung #TybeIsland #LoveStory "A family that plays together, stays together." 1969 Sea-Doo 372 (1st run @ Old Spanish Fort; Pascagoula, MS)
YES... I know I should have had a life jacket on. In fact, I had none of the needed PWC requirements (fire extinguisher, kill switch, etc...) HOWEVER, this was my first time running this old craft. Just wanted to see what she would do. Thought I'd post the video for folks like myself who are fascinated with these old Sea-Doos. Now, the details... 2013, 10-11 1969 Sea-Doo 372 1st run on water @ Old Spanish Fort boat launch in Pascagoula, MS. This thing was a blast to ride.! Very different! But definately needs a tune-up. Will post more video in the future.

How to Fix a Random Stalling Seadoo Jet Boat or Jet Ski
How to Fix a random stalling Seadoo jet boat or jet ski How to fix a very annoying intermittent random stalling problem on a Seadoo. This drove me mad for a year and I have read about other people having the same problem, I read about one guy that got driven so mad by it that he set fire to his boat and claimed the insurance! Having gone over the fuel lines, carb, and ignition, finally the problem showed up when monitoring the signal from the dess(lanyard) switch. I also heard about people changing the whole dess/lanyard posts and keys and still had the same problem, so I didn't want to go down that expensive route. So I knocked up this little circuit to fix the problem. The signal from the lanyard gives out random very quick disconnections, never for more time than a fraction of a second, so this circuit filters out those glitches and doing so 100% fixed the stalling problem. April 12th DANGEROUS JETSKI ACTIVITY around 4.15pm - 6.16pm (approx). Dangerous activity by Jetskiers who are also illegally entering waters of the Raha Beach Communities of: Al Zeina, Al Muneera and Al Bandar. I have only documented this material as a parent who is concerned for others safety, the jet skiiers safety, and boaters safety. Children play in the beach areas and the Jetski's are very fast, too close to the shore and causing extreme and constant noise pollution. The intrusion of unwanted speeding jetski engines is of major concern to the community and I hope by posting this that someone with authority can do something to stop this dangerous jetski activity before a serious accident or death occurs in our community waters. To the Coastguard: your website lists 15 guidelines for Jet-ski's the following on your list may have been violated as per this Video of April 12th (according to the Coastguard laws posted on your website the following rules seem to have been violated by jetskiers in the Al Raha Beach community waters and canals) - Place your registration number in a prominent position on both sides of the Jet Ski (could not see this on video footage) - Ensure you understand how to safely operate the Jet Ski and that you are a proficient swimmer (obvious from video operators were not using safety) - Launch your Jet Ski only from designated places and be aware of the designated areas in which you can operate the machine. (Al Raha Beach communities are not a designated jetski area) - You may use your Jet Ski from sunrise until sunset in the designated areas. (Although not on this video - note jetski's are often in our community waters past Sunset - which is very dangerous) - Avoid public areas, those popular with beach goers, or areas in which driving is prohibited. (jetski's are in public areas, beach areas and prohibited areas) - Propel your Jet Ski at least five hundred (500) feet away from the beach in the direction of the open sea, but do not exceed one (1) nautical mile in length from the starting point. (footage shows this rule has not been adhered too - severe speeding parallel to Al Zeina and Al Muneera beach - and less than 500 feet away from shoreline - and not going the direction of open seas but causing danger to beachgoers, community and maritime law abiding boaters) - Wear a life vest and safety helmet, and fasten the ignition key to your wrist, clothes, or life vest. (no water vest or helmet on at least one of the jetskiers - video only from iphone so difficult to decipher all jetski action via zoom function) - Avoid showing off or dangerous moves, and do not endanger boats or marine installations. (video shows disregard to the safety of other boaters, marine craft, kayakers etc) FOR OTHERS: Coastguard Contact Us is: http://www.cicpa.ae/...uggestions.aspx (for anyone else who wishes to contact them concerning water safety issues in their communities (or lack thereof)

Life jacket Inflation FAIL
The moment during Brighton's life jacket clinic when a gentleman, who assured us that it'd work just fine, attempted to inflate his own lifejacket - hilarious in the safe confines of a nice warm office, but floating unconscious in the sea...? Jet Ski GoPro (Chest Mount) - Croatia, Brač Island, Supertar (August 6th 2015)
Using Camkix chest mount/harness with a GoPro hero 3+ on a Jet Ski on holiday in Croatia (first time). Opinion on the mount: Rather unstable and shaky, kept facing the camera all the way down to my shorts if it was shaken too much (edited those parts out). The problem is the connection to the camera, it uses some black arms which can not be tightened unless you have a wrench or something I think. A default GoPro black arm may be better or something else rigged up to be pulled tight as possible so the arm doesn't face down if moved. But is however secure on the chest and stays there firmly (even when over a life jacket. It is literally just the connection that is poor. I was actually going to use a head strap mount for this video but decided against it as I wasn't sure how safe it would be and if I trusted myself enough. Using it in other cirumstances however it seemed fine and I was keen to risk it on my second go on the Jet Ski, however this opportunity never came and I unfortunately only tried the chest mount.

River Rescue stresses boating safety
By: Bryant Maddrick HARRISBURG, Pa. -- Warmer weather means more people will be swimming and boating. Before folks head out, officials want to make sure they're practicing safety. A warm day with a lot of sun brought boaters out onto the water Sunday. "It was pretty warm out. I made sure to put on some sunblock," boater Al Brulo said. It wasn't all smooth sailing for Brulo, who was boating with four other friends. "We were out there today and our boat did malfunction, the engine cut off while we're going full throttle. Luckily we had a few mechanical engineers on board and they were able to take care of the problem with a pocket knife," Brulo said. Chief Frank Egresitz with Harrisburg River Rescue says proper boat maintenance is important. "Make sure you got a full tank of gas and make sure you got good gas that's not gas that's been laying around since last season that you went with. The people that have four stroke motors, oil changes, spark plugs, things like that. Do the preventative maintenance on your boats," Egresitz said. Also, boaters are advised not to be fooled by warm weather like Sunday if they plan on swimming or tubing. Egresitz says water temperatures in May are still cold. "Body temperature is 98.6. Water temperature is 70 degrees, a good mix for hypothermia," Egresitz said. The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention report every day at least 10 people die from unintentional drowning. Life jackets are required. Despite a hiccup with Brulo's motor, he was still prepared. "We had five people in the boat today, so we needed five life jackets on the boat. Also a throwable life jacket. Make sure our anchor was working properly and we made sure we had fuel and the engine was running pretty well," Brulo said. Another important tip Chief Egresitz offers is to not drink and boat. He says it's the same as drinking and driving.
