Are wheel spacers safe? Are wheel spacers a good idea? Integra Wheel Spacers - http://amzn.to/24hwrIo Subscribe for new videos every Wednesday! - https://goo.gl/VZstk7 How will wheel adapters affect handling? What effects will wheel spacers have on suspension geometry? Wheel spacers can help with fitting big brake kits, altering wheel offset if aftermarket wheels are used, and can widen a car's track, thus reducing load transfer and ideally improving handling. That said, wheel spacers affect suspension geometry, and will change the scrub radius, affecting braking stability, and also reduce the effective spring rate at the wheels. Wheel spacers can also cause wheel bearing failure. One of the CRAZIEST dyno mishaps we've ever seen, and extremely scary considering how many dyno's we've filmed standing close to the cars! This unlucky Mustang owner's tire EXPLODES at around 150MPH (uncertain of exact speed, but top of 5th) on the dyno. We aren't certain why it was ran through the gears, but you can see the results. http://www.stevetroydickerson.com - What Is The Best Brand Of Tires The question always comes up when it comes time to purchase a new set of tires, what is the best brand of tires. There are some deciding factors when choosing your next set of tires but the most important factor should be safety. Too many people each year are either injured or killed because they are riding around on bad tires. As a matter of fact, we sometimes tend to only think of our on safety but we must also consider the safety of others when choosing what is the best brand of tires. When considering what is the best brand of tires you must consider the life of the tire. Choosing a tire that has at least a 50,000 mile warranty is a good start, if comfort is important to you then do some research just like you are doing here and get some feedback on what is the best brand of tires that ride comfortably. You probably don't want to get stuck with a tire that feels like your riding on a go-cart. Make sure to view the video for the tires of my choosing. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZaMXgs1mXc0

Save MONEY, TIME and EFFORT - Learn to conduct your own bicycle tours with the PRO as your guide: http://bicycletouringpro.com/blog/course/?ap_id=youtube People always ask me, "What kind of bicycle tires do you use on your travels all around the world?" They usually go on to tell me that their friend... or the guy at their local bike shop... or some random stranger on the Internet recommended a particular type of tire (usually the Schwalbe Marathon Plus tires), but they want my opinion on the matter. My response is usually a something like this: "Those tires that you were told about are a good tire to start out with. But if you're planning to spend several months on your bicycle (like you would during a bike tour across an entire continent... or around the world) then those are simply the tires you are going to start out with. At some point during your bike tour, those tires will need to be replaced. It doesn't matter how good your tires are - at some point, they will need to be replaced with new ones! And when that time comes, you will have to use whatever types of tires you can find in the part of the world that you are currently in. And you probably won't be able to find that particular brand/type of tire once you're away from home. Instead, you're going to have to use the best tire you can find in the area you happen to be." If you are trying to take your 4x4 out in the mud, your stock tires are going to be completely useless! Just look at this guy trying to get through a little mud in street tires. (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RFGGdeNpRXk) Now, you don’t need to start setting up the winch just yet. First, let’s figure out how to pick out some mud tires for your rig. 4WheelOnline Intro We get it, if you’re just getting into 4 - wheeling the number of options for off-road can be mind numbing. Today we’re going break down the different types of off-road tires there are and how to pick the right one for your rig. So let’s get started. There are 5 types of tires we are going to go through ranging from the best at performing on the asphalt to the best in the mud. Unfortunately, there is no tire that is the absolute best in every vehicle condition. If you get slicks, you’ll have the best performance for the street but absolutely terrible performance for just about anything else. The same is true when you’re talking about off-road tires. So think about what you’ll be using your 4x4 when choosing the what type of off-road tire hits your sweet spot. The first type of tire is the one you probably have on right now, you’re stock or OE tire. You already like how they handle on the highway but they are useless when you get into some real mud. If you want to even begin tackling light mud you’ll need to at least bump it up to an All Terrain tire. Tires like the BF Goodrich All Terrain are your versatile, jack of all trade tire. They will perform good on the street and tackle light off-road terrain, but don’t expect serious performance on any surface from them. Even though an All Terrain is a huge step up from your stock tire, it isn’t suitable for much more than light off road use. If you really want performance in the mud, getting a Mud Terrain tire is a must. Tires like the Toyo Open Country MT bring better off-road performance without sacrificing any semblance of ride quality. While Mud Tires will get you a lot further at your local mud hole, they’ll also be louder when you’re out on the highway. If you want high performance in the mud that you can still take on the highway, a mud terrain tire is the way to go. These tires have larger tread blocks with more space in between each block than an all terrain. When you are out in the mud your tire tread is going to be packed with mud. An all-terrain tire won’t be able to self-clean or grip like a Mud Terrain tire will, leaving you much more likely to get stuck. Plus, the more aggressive tread patterns look pretty badass. Now, most of us can stop at a Mud Tire and be happy with the off-road performance, but for those who want to take it a step further there’s your Extreme Terrain tires. Tires like the Nitto Mud Grappler represent a zero compromise solution for off-road use. They are perfect for the mud and rocks, but terrible for highway driving. To take mudding to the ultimate extreme, you can get a speciality tire. Tires like the Super Swamper Bogger don’t just compromise on-the-road performance, they spec their tires just for one off-road application and forget everything else. However, if you are at all concerned about street performance, speciality tires will be mind-numbingly loud, wear out quickly on the highway, and lack lateral grip. If you want to make a full-time mudding rig, a speciality tire is the only way to go! Those are all the types of off-road tires to choose from. Once you decide how much on and off road performance you need, you should be able to pick one for your rig. For most of us who want to get serious in the mud, a mud terrain tire is the sweet spot, but some of you may want to go more or less extreme depending on your needs.

TRANSCRIPT : Hi guys and welcome back to Mudding 101. A lot of people are happy to get bigger wheels and tires on their rig but they get hesitant when it comes to regearing their 4x4. The problem is, if you don’t re-gear you will be losing performance and fuel economy. So what exactly are the benefits of regearing? Well, first let’s take a look at the two gears we are talking about, the ring and pinion gears. When your driveshaft turns it spins the pinion gear, which in turn spins the ring gear, causing the axle shafts to turn and spin your wheels. Pretty simple right? So what’s the gear ratio? If you take the number of teeth on the ring gear and divide it by the number of teeth on the pinion gear you’ll get your gear ratio. So if you have 31 teeth on your ring gear and 10 on your pinion gear, you would have 31 divided by 10, or a ratio of 3.10. This ratio tells you how many times the driveshaft will spin to make a full rotation of the wheels. So the driveshaft on your 3.10 ratio will have to rotate 3.1 times to spin the wheel once. Keeping up? Well, here’s where we throw a curveball. A high numerical ratio, say 5 to 1 for example, is called a low gear ratio. A low numerical ratio, like 3 to 1, is called a high gear ratio. So why the flip-flop? Well the gear ratios are actually named for their output speed, not their numerical value. A 3.0 to 1 ratio has 0.33 output revolutions while a 5.0 to 1 has 0.25. Still following this? Good, because this is where we can talk about how regearing can actually improve your 4x4. Think about what happens when you put on big mudding tires. A bigger tire means that it will take your vehicle further with each complete revolution, but your driveshaft will also be turning slower because you are still using your stock gear ratio. In other words, if you have a 3.0 to 1 ratio, your drivetrain is still only turning 3 times for each revolution of your wheel. That’s going to translate to a slower turning engine, which means poor performance and even bad gas mileage. The best way to fix this is to regear your rig to a more appropriate ratio. A simple formula for doing this is to take your old gear ratio, multiply it by your new tire size and then divide that by your old tire size. That will give you your new gear ratio, like 4.66 for example. Now, you can’t get 4.66 gear ratios for a Jeep, so you want to round up to the next highest numerical ratio. In this case that’s a 4.88. Those higher numerical gear ratios are going to give you performance close to what you had for the factory, except you will be able to move those heavy and larger diameter tires too.. This isn’t the only reason to re-gear though. You may want to re-gear for a specific performance application as well, like mudding. Taller gears, that’s the ones with a lower numerical value, will give you a higher top speed and thus a higher top wheel speed. This can be useful in the mud if you want wheel speed to keep the tires clean and biting. Remember that taller gears also reduce your acceleration though, so if you put big tires and tall gears you will definitely be compromising your low end power. Shorter gears, the ones with a higher numerical value, have a lower top speed but give you more acceleration and low end power. They can be used to get your big tires moving or to help in climbing hills during rock crawling. Really any application where you don’t care about high speed wheel spin. Now, before you start regearing there are 2 more things to remember. The first is that you need to change the gears in both axles on a 4x4. The second is that you will also want get a ring and pinion installation kit so that you can also change your bearings and seals when you regear. You can find kits for that on our site. Other than that, these are all the basics you need to know about regearing. Not that complicated right? If you are still confused about what the right ratio would be for your rig, give our experts a call at 813-769-2451 and they can walk you through it. I’m Ken, and until next time you’re all caught up with Mudding 101.

I consider myself a pretty well educated person and able to look up things online relatively easy however finding information out about travel trailer tires is really left up to the forms and the comments and opinions of the people there in. so after doing some research I found a good set of tires, what I believe to be a good set of tires, for travel trailer this is a Hercules brand tire and has a three year warranty which is prorated for the amount of time that you have your tire. they are a rated load range of D which means that they can carry 2100 pounds on a single axle or 1850 pounds on a dual axle or what they call a tandem axle trailer like ours is. I tried to show them going on and along the way gave tips on how to think about tires and balancing and also how to install the tires on the trailer I hope you enjoy, thanks for watching Destiny Day, Plain Loafer ,The Big Beat 80s,Monkeys Spinning, and Move Forward by Kevin MacLeod (incompetech.com) Licensed under Creative Commons: By Attribution 3.0 http://creativecommons.org/licenses/by/3.0/

The debate has been here as long as the bikes have. Which is the best dual sport tire. Whether it be the Heidenau K60 Scout, Kenda Big Block, Continental TKC 80, Dunlop D606, Bridgestone Trail Wings, or the Pirelli MT 21's, people have always been passionate about why their tire is the best. I'm here to tell that the type of tire you chose is far more important than the brand name on it!

Latest from http://www.crosstrainingenduro.com ... mousse, Tubliss or tubes? We look at the pros and cons of each and which will suit for enduro and dirt riding depending on the terrain and your level of experience. Speed, wheelspin, big air and power slides are great fun on a dirt bike but often it means we've picked up bad habits that are actually slowing us down. As Graham Jarvis says "Going fast is the easy bit, it’s going slowly that will help you develop control." The top extreme enduro riders like Jarvis are so smooth and controlled even using tubes that often you don't realise how difficult the terrain is until you see them flying past the less experienced riders regardless of mousses or TUbliss. So cross training applies trials techniques to enduro riding for improved dirt bike skills. Losing traction is a cardinal sin in trials riding and riders go to extreme lengths to ensure their tyres don't slip. Wheelspin and slides look great but in many cases for enduro riding but it simply means you are losing full control of your dirt bike. In a nutshell, I reckon these are basic summaries based on opinions from the thread above and other forums.... MOUSSE: The top extreme enduro riders will only lose traction deliberately in a small number of cases. Maintaining traction is a critical skill in cross training if you want to improve how your ride your dirt bike. best option for the serious competition or hard core rider due to the best rim protection and being able to continue until the tyre is completely destroyed. TUBLISS: great all round option for those who want the option of running very low tyre pressures when needed, and hate fixing punctures when out on the track. Body positioning and weighting are fundamental skills in trials, and watching top trials riders is like poetry in motion. TUBES: A key part of moves like this is the use of body positioning and weighting - choosing when to exert pressure on the pegs and when to de-weight or lift the bike up... the cheapest option if you don't usually run very low pressures, aren't riding the sort of terrain that causes punctures, or are happy to do puncture repairs out on the track. Everything in extreme enduro terrain is trying to throw you off balance regardless of using tubes, TUbliss or mousses, so balancing lays a strong foundation for enduro skills. Trials riders can balance at a stand still for as long as they like, even with no hands on the bars. Cross training has a strong focus on being able to balance on your enduro bike, even at a stand still - this is a handy skill when you have minimal run up to your next obstacle and easier with mousses. Balance also means you can spend more time standing on the pegs in tough terrain instead of sitting down, so you will have far more control of your dirt bike. Remember cross training applies trials techniques to your dirt riding skills. TUBLISS: THE GOOD STUFF Very light (thin tubes are probably lighter though?) Good rim protection (a lot more than tubes, not as good as a mousse) No need to lubricate or service them Cheap when considered over time Any outer punctures fixed in minutes easily, just tubless repair kit & bike pump Ride home on totally flat tyre, or just keep riding if it's a stiff side wall tyre Adjustable pressure - highway to dirt with a $3 bike pump from ebay Tyre valves can never be ripped out Tyre cannot slip on rim even at zero psi TUBLISS: POTENTIAL ISSUES Initial cost Easy to get leaks if instructions not followed properly High pressure bicycle pump needed for the inner tube ($23 on Ebay) Need to check the high pressure for inner tube fortnightly Should only be used with a brand new tyre, not ones used with a rimlock already Need to check inner tube pressure before each ride Note: most of the issues reported online were with the first generation TUbliss, since then almost all issues are only due to not following the fitting technique. TUBES: THE GOOD STUFF Most trials techniques involve precise use of the clutch, such as feathering the clutch for traction control up hills or dropping the clutch to launch the bike into the air.

This is a video using pressure washer, armor all tire foam, and Mcguires hot chrome wheel cleaner. Shows you how to wash your bike to make it showroom clean. I also forgot to add a part of the video for cleaning the inside of your motor, but what you do is you put 6ish top fulls of sea foam motor cleaner in your gas tank, and it should clean your injectors out and make them run better. Don't be scared when you ride with it and it smokes a little after you put that in your tank. It's normal, because it's eating away all the bad ethanol inside your fuel pump and injectors. It will only smoke if your bike is a little old and it has had ethanol gas in it. I now run 93 octane due to my other bike had a carb go bad because of ethanol. I hope yall enjoyed the video please like and subscribe If yall enjoyed this video! Thanks for watching and let me know how I did in the comment section.
