Using only a web browser, you can develop and deploy professional Web-based applications for desktops and mobile devices. Create Workspace First, you need to log in the administration system of Oracle APEX in order to declare a Workspace. A Workspace will work with a SCHEME in database. Workspace contains Applications including a system of forms, reports, and so on, managing users who participate in programming, or users who use the application. • Open your internet browser, then write following URL in address bar for log in http://localhost:8080/apex/apex_admin • After log in, You need to create new Workspace: Click on create workspace • Enter: Workspace Name: my_ws Then click Next. • You can select a SCHEMA available in Database. It means 1 user database is created and named my_ws. • In this step, you need to declare a administration User of Workspace. It is not a user database, but it is a administration user of this Workspace. It is capable of creating applications, other Users as programmers, or users who use the application... Enter: User Name: my_ws_admin Password: my_ws_admin Email: [email protected] Then click Next. And then confirm your request by clicking Create Workspace, Finally click on Done. Note: Your Workspace has been created. You can see the list of current Workspace and edit if you want. • To find your workspace: Click on Manage Workspaces, Find Workspace Work with Workspace • In the above step, you created a Workspace named my_ws. Now we will log in and work with this Workspace: Open your internet browser, and then write following URL in address bar for log in http://localhost:8080/apex Enter: Workspace: my_ws User Name: my_ws_admin Password: my_ws_admin Then click Next. • In the first time of logging in Workspace, the system requires you to change your password, but you can keep your password intact • You are logged in my_ws Workspace Follow me: https://www.facebook.com/leens.tech https://www.facebook.com/munir.du https://twitter.com/munir_du https://www.linkedin.com/in/md-munir-hussain Contact me: [email protected] Download Oracle Database 11g R2 from: http://www.oracle.com/technetwork/database/enterprise-edition/downloads/112010-win32soft-098987.html Download Oracle Apex 5 from: http://www.oracle.com/technetwork/developer-tools/apex/downloads/index.html

Oracle Forms 10g: list items poplist, tlist, combobox with user input

24:01
List items poplist, tlist, combobox with user input A list item is an interface object that displays a predefined set of choices, each corresponding to a specific data value. You use the list item at run time to select a single value. List choices or elements are mutually exclusive; one and only one can be selected at a time. The Three List Item Styles • Poplist: Appears as a field with an iconic button attached to the right (When you click a poplist, all its list elements are displayed.) • Tlist: Appears as a rectangular box that displays the list elements (When the display area is not big enough to display all the list elements, a scroll bar is automatically attached to the right to view the remaining list elements.) • Combo box: Appears as a field with a down arrow next to its right (Use the button to display all the combo box list elements. The combo box accepts user input.) Uses and Benefits of List Items • Enable display of a defined set of choices • Display a set of choices without using a vast area of canvas • Provide an alternative to radio groups • Provide a Windows-style list of values Follow me: https://www.facebook.com/munir.du Oracle Forms 10g: Oracle Forms building menus Oracle Forms 10g: Controlling Validation Using Properties-Validate from List Oracle Forms 10g: ONETIME _WHERE clause to restrict the query only once Oracle Forms 10g: Forms Calendar in date field Oracle Forms 10g: Image items Oracle Forms 10g: Change list items at run time Oracle Forms 10g: Dynamic list item Oracle Forms 10g: Case-sensitive query and interacting with check box using trigger Oracle Forms 10g: How to create iconic button

In this tutorial, you learn how to develop your own menu modules to replace the Forms default menu. In this tutorial, you design a custom menu with very basic commands to use with an order entry application. Easy and step by step ways. Creating a Menu Module # A menu module is a hierarchically-structured object that provides a quick and easy method for operating your Forms application. # Like the form module, the menu module is one of the main components of an application. # Each menu module is displayed as a pull-down menu that provides a set of options appearing horizontally under the application window title. # Menu is saved as .mmb and after compile it creates the .mmx for execution in run time. Oracle Database 11g: Import schema objects

08:19
Import schema objects: The Export and Import utilities provide a simple way for you to transfer data objects between Oracle databases, even if they reside on platforms with different hardware and software configurations. When you run Export against an Oracle database, objects (such as tables) are extracted, followed by their related objects (such as indexes, comments, and grants), if any. The extracted data is written to an export dump file. The Import utility reads the object definitions and table data from the dump file. An export file is an Oracle binary-format dump file that is typically located on disk or tape. The dump files can be transferred using FTP or physically transported (in the case of tape) to a different site. The files can then be used with the Import utility to transfer data between databases that are on systems not connected through a network. The files can also be used as backups in addition to normal backup procedures. Export dump files can only be read by the Oracle Import utility. The version of the Import utility cannot be earlier than the version of the Export utility used to create the dump file.
