Sylhet Division (Bengali: সিলেট বিভাগ, Silet Bibhag), also known as Greater Sylhet or Sylhet region,[2] is the northeastern division of Bangladesh, named after its main city, Sylhet. It is bordered by the Meghalaya, Assam and Tripura states of India to the north, east and south, respectively; and by the Bangladesh divisions of Chittagong to the southwest and Dhaka to the west. Sylhet is considered one of the most picturesque and archaeologically rich regions in South Asia, and has major Islamic Sufi shrines and Hindu holy sites. Its bourgeoning economy has contributed to the regional attractions of landscapes filled with fragrant orange and pineapple gardens and tea plantations. Many Sylheti community members are working and residing abroad, particularly in the United Kingdom. They send remittances to fund projects and industries within the Sylhet Division, which have led to the expansion of the export industry and foreign investment sectors. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sylhet_Division

Rooppur Nuclear Power Plant is an underconstruction 2.4 GWe nuclear power plant in Bangladesh. The nuclear power plant is under construction at Rooppur (Rupppur), adjoining Paskey, in the Ishwardi Upazila of Pabna District, on the bank of the river Padma, 87 miles (140 km) west of Dhaka, in the northwest of the country.[1] It will be the country's first nuclear power plant, and the first of two units is expected to go into operation in 2023.[2][3][4] It is to be built by the Russian Rosatom State Atomic Energy Corporation.[3]. India is also involved in this project with Russia as mentioned by Mr. Shekhar Basu (Chairman, Atomic Energy Commission of India) at 61st general conference of the global nuclear watchdog International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA). The level of Indian involment (collabration) in this project is not established yet as India is not a member of Nuclear Supplier Group(NSG) that controls the export of materials, equipment and technology that can be used to manufacture nukes.

Cox's Bazar (Bengali: কক্সবাজার, Koksbajar, Koksbazar or Kokshbajar) is a town, a fishing port and district headquarters in Bangladesh. The beach in Cox's Bazar is an unbroken 120 km sandy sea beach with a gentle slope, one of the world's longest.[2][3][4] It is located 150 km south of the industrial port Chittagong. Cox's Bazar is also known by the name Panowa, whose literal translation means "yellow flower." Its other old name was "Palongkee". The modern Cox's Bazar derives its name from Captain Hiram Cox (died 1799), an officer of the British East India Company. Cox was appointed Superintendent of Palongkee outpost after Warren Hastings became Governor of Bengal. Captain Cox was specially mobilised to deal with a century-long conflict between Arakan refugees and local Rakhains. He embarked upon the task of rehabilitating refugees in the area and made significant progress. Captain Cox died in 1799 before he could finish his work. To commemorate his role in rehabilitation work, a market was established and named Cox's Bazar ("Cox's Market") after him. Today, Cox's Bazar is one of the most-visited tourist destinations in Bangladesh, though it is not a major international tourist destination. In 2013, the Bangladesh Government formed the Tourist Police unit to better protect local and foreign tourists, as well as to look after the nature and wildlife in the tourist spots of Cox's Bazar. St. Martin's Island, Teknaf, Cox's Bazar

00:19
St. Martin's Island (Bengali: সেন্ট মার্টিন্স দ্বীপ) is a small island (area only 8 km2) in the northeastern part of the Bay of Bengal, about 9 km south of the tip of the Cox's Bazar-Teknaf peninsula, and forming the southernmost part of Bangladesh. There is a small adjoining island that is separated at high tide, called Chera Dwip. It is about 8 kilometres (5 miles) west of the northwest coast of Myanmar, at the mouth of the Naf River. The first settlement started 250 years ago by Arabian sailors who named the island 'Zajira'. During British occupation the island was named St. Martin Island. During the First Anglo-Burmese War between the British and Burmese empires in 1824–1826, rival claims to the island were a major factor. The local names of the island are "Narical Gingira", also spelled "Narikel Jinjira/Jinjera", [1] which means 'Coconut Island' in Bengali, and "Daruchini Dwip". It is the only coral island in Bangladesh. For more info: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/St._Martin's_Island
