Badass navy SEAL took 27 bullets and still walked to the medevac helicopter, now he’s doing an Ironm

01:55
Former Navy SEAL Mike Day is not your ordinary veteran. Twenty-year SEAL veteran Day was quite literally shot to pieces during his final tour of Iraq, but has made a remarkable recovery. And he is now taking part in an Ironman to help raise funds for the people who helped him recover from his incredible ordeal. It all happened back in 2007 when Day was acting as point man in a raid on a property in Fallujah. First into the room, Day was confronted by four enemy fighters, who duly opened fire. His rifle shot from his hand, Day pulled out his handgun and started shooting, killing one fighter and hitting another who was carrying a grenade, which then exploded less than 10 feet from him. A still dazed Day then woke up, and proceeded to gun down the remaining two enemy combatants. And if that wasn’t enough, Day then got to his feet and walked to the medevac helicopter, even though he had been shot 16 times. Day was hit a total of 27 times. Eleven of the shots hitting his body armor and another 16 his body. He was hit in the stomach, shoulder, buttocks, scrotum and hand. Day spent sixteen days in hospital recovering, during which time he lost 55 pounds. It’s been a long road to recovery for him, but now he’s aiming to give back by raising funds for Carrick Brain Centers, an organization that helps vets suffering from PTSD. ------------------------------------------------------------- Welcome to TomoUSA, where we animate the most entertaining news from ‘MURRICA. Giving away Jordans: Bullied student given Concord Air Jordan 11 lows by classmate Yaovi Mawuli

01:12
A North Carolina high school student helped a bullied classmate by giving him a pair of new shoes. Yaovi Mawuli noticed a student was making fun of Jared Newby, who was wearing a pair of worn out sneakers during French class, according to a report by local Fox affiliate WGHP. Yaovi has an extensive shoe collection because he trades shoes online. He decided to give Jared a pair of “Concord” Air Jordan 11 lows that he had in his size. However, Yaovi worried that giving Jared the shoes directly would hurt his feelings, so he sought help online. A school counselor gave Jared the shoes from Yaovi in her office on the next day. Jared threw the old shoes immediately after he got the new shoes. “It felt like I was standing on air,” Jared told WGHP. Jared took a picture with Yaovi in his brand new Air Jordans that has been making the rounds in social media. ------------------------------------------------------------- Welcome to TomoUSA, where we animate the most entertaining news from ‘MURRICA. Bullied little girl and brother in viral video say school won't stop the bullies

01:28
Meet eight-year-old Anna Cymbaluk and her seven-year-old brother Ben from Minnesota. Their mother, Sarah, shot a video of the children, with Anna in tears, describing the constant harassment by bullies they experience at school, and uploaded it to a local news channel's Facebook page last Wednesday. "Tell me how it makes you feel" Sarah asks her daughter. "It makes me feel sad, and scared." Anna repies. The children say the abuse starts on the schoolbus every day, where the driver once told Anna to "Sit your (expletive) down!" An older boy on the bus also threatens the children and called a high school girl who sits near them a lesbian. Another bully on the playground told Ben he's going to die in a suicide, and Anna was injured as recently as Wednesday when a bully stabbed her in the palm with a pencil. Anna and her mother have asked the principal of Magelssen Elementary to intervene on many occasions, but the school's reaction has been dismissive. So finally, after five meetings with administrators since December produced no results, Sarah Cymbaluk turned to Facebook. The video instantly went viral and finally, little Anna had the school's attention. "Can you tell me how many times you've been in and told the principal about it?" her mother asked. "Like five." Anna replied. "And what have they done about it?" "Nothing". Worried about the school's image, school and Fosston district administrators called Jon and Anna Cymbaluk into a meeting a day later, where their first words to the parents were 'What are you going to do to make us look good?' and asked them to remove the video. The principal suggested Anna be sent to see a counselor, but her mother Sarah replied, "My kids are not the ones doing this, they should not be pulled out of class." ------------------------------------------------------------- Welcome to TomoUSA, where we animate the most entertaining news from 'MURRICA. Bloody Chicago: baby crushed to death by shooters' car after rapper 'Capo' killed - TomoNews

01:41
CHICAGO, ILLINOIS— A toddler and an aspiring rapper are both dead following a series of horrific events on Saturday in Chicago. Sometime just before 2 p.m., Marvin Carr, known in the hip-hop community as rapper "Capo" was strolling along South Kingston Avenue when a car pulled alongside and fired at least two shots into Capo. The rapper's death was recorded in a video that is now been widely spread on social media outlets, but the drive-by shooting was only the beginning of horrific events that day. As the suspected shooter's attempted to flee the scene at high speed, roughly 3 miles from the location of the drive-by shooting, the suspects lost control of their vehicle. The car left the road, drove over a curb and onto a sidewalk where a mother and her children, including her 13-month old boy sitting in a stroller, were standing waiting for a bus. The suspects' car struck the stroller and the child inside was killed. Following the accident the suspect's car slammed into a road barrier and either two or three suspects then fled on foot. Two men were arrested by police in connection with the crime and are being questioned. Chicago residents have been shocked by a recent string of murders related to feuds between rap artists and the killing of an innocent toddler has only served to highlight the horrific and senseless nature of such crimes. The city has seen a decrease in overall crime rates, according to local media, however the homicide rate in Chicago has seen a 26% increase over last year, with 78 murders reported in the city thus far this year. ------------------------------------------------------------- Welcome to TomoUSA, where we animate the most entertaining news from ‘MURRICA. Man walks 35 miles to work: 61-year-old Steven Simoff walks 7+ hours everyday to support sick wife

01:34
If you’re the type to complain about your daily commute, then you better learn a thing or two from Steven Simoff. This 61-year-old Iowa man walks an incredible 35 miles to work everyday in order to provide for his family. The overnight janitor, who works at Lakeside Casino in Osceola, Iowa, leaves his Davis City home at around 3:30 p.m. every day and walks along the shoulder of Interstate 35, just so he can arrive in time to clock in at 11 p.m. for work. After a gruelling day’s worth of walking along the highway, he next begins working the night shift cleaning the Casino. But he doesn't complain, instead Simoff tells The Des Moines Register he will do whatever it takes to get to work so he can provide for his family. His wife Renee had a stroke nine years ago and has since suffered several heart attacks. Money has been tight since Renee's health problems began. "First of all, when you got a family, and you've got a job, you've got to be able to support your family. And you've got to keep your job — the most two important things I can think of," Simoff told the Des Moines Register. Simoff only earns $9.07 an hour at the casino and says his family can't afford to live closer to work because their rent in Davis City is only $400 per month. While the family owns a 2002 Ford Windstar minivan, they rarely can afford to fill up the tank. The seven and a half hour journey means Simoff has to buy a new pair of shoes every two months, but he says he’s never once been injured during his treks. When his night shift is over Simoff usually catches a ride back home with a co-worker or a friend.

Shocking allergic reaction: Girl's skin peels off after bipolar disorder prescription drug use

01:48
A Georgia grad student was left almost blind and without the vast majority of her skin following a rare allergic reaction to a common drug used to treat seizures and mood disorders, according to a New York Daily News report. Back in 2013, Khaliah Shaw, 24, was diagnosed with bipolar disorder and prescribed a common seizure and mood disorder medication called Lamotrigine. Within a month of taking the medication, she developed a strange rash on her face and noticed her lips were always peeling off. Shaw initially went to the doctor and was told she had the flu. Two days later, she awoke to find her hair had fallen out, her nails had fallen off and that her skin was peeling right off. Doctors decided to put the 24-year-old into medically-induced coma to alleviate her pain and eventually diagnosed her with Steven-Johnson Syndrome. SJS is a rare disorder that starts off with flu-like symptoms and attacks the top layer of the skin, forming a rash that spreads and turns into blisters. It eventually makes the layers of the epidermis shed and fall. The disease is caused by toxins from a drug or an infection, which, if not treated, can even prove fatal. When Shaw awoke from her five week-long coma she was in shock that she had lost all of her hair and fingernails, and nearly 90 per cent of her skin had peeled away. The brave young woman has since undergone 13 month-long road to recovery, which has included seizure treatments and months spent at a burn center. ------------------------------------------------------------- Welcome to TomoUSA, where we animate the most entertaining news from ‘MURRICA. Child falls into gorilla pit at Cincinnati Zoo: timeline leading to Harambe's death - TomoNews

01:57
CINCINNATI — There is much public outcry after Harambe, a silverback gorilla, was shot and killed after a child fell into the gorilla exhibit the Cincinnati Zoo on Saturday. Some claim the gorilla appeared to be protecting the toddler and should not have been killed. However, the zoo maintains that authorities made the right decision, as it was a matter of life and death for the child. Harambe was a 17-year-old 400-pound silverback gorilla that was shot dead when a child fell into its enclosure on May 28. Witnesses say they heard the child ask if he could go in to swim with the gorillas, and that his mother had said no. However, the 4-year-old managed to get past a 3-foot-tall railing and bushes that were roughly 4 feet wide before falling into the animal enclosure. The child fell a distance of 15 feet into the moat below that was filled with water that was about a foot deep. Three gorillas were in the enclosure at the time, but zookeepers managed to call two of them inside. Video captured by bystanders at the zoo show Harambe, the remaining gorilla, seeming to protect the child at times, while at other times aggressively dragging the toddler through the water The executive director of the Cincinnati Zoo and Botanical Gardens says using a tranquilizer dart on the animal would have made the situation worse, as it would not have taken effect quickly enough and may have agitated the gorilla more. Reports say the child was sitting between the gorilla's legs when officials fatally shot the animal. In memory of Harambe, people have been leaving flowers around a bronze statue of a gorilla and her baby outside the Cincinnati Zoo's GorillaWorld exhibit. Some claim it the child's parents should be punished for failing to keep a closer watch on their child. However, the zoo says it does not plan to press charges. ------------------------------------------------------------- Welcome to TomoUSA, where we animate the most entertaining news from ‘MURRICA. Dog stranded in ice on frozen Charles River rescued from Boston firefighters

01:38
Meet Cooper, a golden retriever-poodle cross, who found himself in more than a bit of trouble over the weekend—marooned in the middle an icy river—before his rescue by firefighters. During a Saturday walk along the bank of Boston's Charles River he bolted, his owners told local police. They posted flyers up around the neighborhood and, luckily, received a call on Sunday informing them Cooper had been spotted on a felled tree in the partially frozen-over river. Firefighters from the Wellesley Fire Department geared up and went to work, reuniting the unlucky mutt with his relieved family. ------------------------------------------------------------- Welcome to TomoUSA, where we animate the most entertaining news from ‘MURRICA. Facebook murder: Steve Stephens kills himself after police car chase - TomoNews

06:54
ERIE, PENNSYLVANIA — Cleveland murder suspect Steve Stephens shot and killed himself after being pursued by police in Pennsylvania on Tuesday. According to the Erie Times-News, Steve Stephens was ordering food at a McDonald’s drive-through on Buffalo Road in Harborcreek Township, Erie County after 11 a.m. when he was recognized by staff members, who then reported him to the police. State troopers quickly located Stephens and launched a two-mile pursuit. One trooper performed a PIT maneuver in order to stop Stephens’ vehicle. As the car was spinning out of control, Stephens reportedly shot himself in the head and was pronounced dead at the scene. “We would have preferred it not ended this way. There are a lot of questions for the family and the city in general that they would have had for Steve as to why this transpired,” Cleveland Police Chief Calvin Williams said at a news conference. Stephens allegedly killed 74-year-old Robert Godwin Sr. on Sunday in Cleveland and later posted video of the killing to Facebook. He claimed he was also responsible for multiple homicides, but no additional victims have been found. ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Go to https://www.patreon.com/tomonews and become a Patron now TomoNews is now on Patreon and we've got some cool perks for our hardcore fans. Hero humiliates old lady harassing girl for selling candy without IRS approval- TomoNews

01:53
ROWLAND HEIGHTS, CALIFORNIA — An old woman has earned internet infamy after her horrible mistreatment of an innocent kid was, naturally, caught on camera. CBSLA reports that said incident began outside a Target store in Rowland Heights, California, where a girl was selling candy for a dollar apiece. Shopper Andy Lizarraga was leaving the store when she saw an old woman march up to the girl and demand to know whether she had permission or a license to sell her wares. The girl didn’t, and told the woman she was just selling candy to make money. The woman continued to yell and scream at the child, telling her that sheriffs were on the way and that she would go to jail. Lizarraga began recording a video of the altercation, which shows a man, later identified as Jay Lopez, stepping in to confront the old woman for harassing the girl. After talking back and forth, Lopez decided to stop the argument by saying he would buy all the candy the girl was selling. The heroic man went in to get money and came out to get his $80 box of candy, which he then proceeded to give it out to people passing by. ------------------------------------------------------------- Welcome to TomoNews, where we animate the most entertaining news on the internets. Police body camera footage shows dramatic rescue of Utah 'miracle' baby Lily Groesbeck

01:49
Utah police have released body-camera footage showing the frantic rescue of the 18-month-old girl we told you about last week, who was discovered by rescue workers after spending 14 hours suspended above an icy river. The girl's mother, Lynn Jennifer Groesbeck, 25, was killed in the accident. According to Spanish Fork Police, the rear portion of the vehicle was high enough out of the water that Groesbeck's toddler stayed dry after their car plunged into a Utah river at 10:30 p.m. last Friday night. As icy water flowed through the car's open windows, the child remained strapped to her safety seat. Police body camera footage caught the heroic rescue: "There's a baby!" a responder is heard saying as he directs crews to rescue her. "We're helping, we're coming," a rescuer says at another point. "Definitely hypothermic. She's freezing," a rescuer says as the girl is carried to an emergency vehicle and undergoes efforts to revive her. "Come on, sweetie. Come on, sweetie," a responder says. The water in the river was so cold last weekend that seven emergency responders had to be treated for hypothermia after rescuing the toddler. Spanish Fork Police Lieutenant Matt Johnson told the Washington Post it's a miracle the child was able to survive. ------------------------------------------------------------- Welcome to TomoUSA, where we animate the most entertaining news from ‘MURRICA. Child kidnapping stopped: Hero bus driver saves three-year-old from abductor - TomoNews

01:47
MILPITAS, CALIFORNIA — A Northern California bus driver is being hailed a hero after he says he followed his parental instincts, an intuition so sharp it led him to stop a kidnapper from abducting a young boy on Friday. A 3-year-old boy was reported kidnapped at the Milpitas Public Library at around 10:40 a.m. Local police quickly responded, closing the library to incoming and outgoing traffic and sending alerts to all area bus drivers to be on the lookout. Tim Watson was on his morning shift when he caught sight of one of the alerts and about an hour later, the driver noticed a passenger in his mid-20's with a crying boy, both of whom matched descriptions mentioned in the police alert. Trusting his fatherly instincts Watson pulled the bus over and announced that someone had lost a backpack. "What I'm really trying to do is to get up without him knowing to look at the little boy," Watson told ABC 7 News. "So sure enough, I see the plaid shorts and red shoes. That's what really stuck out in my mind." The father of two noticed the boy's red shoes and quickly radioed police. "And that's when my own kids came to mind and I just broke down. I couldn't hold myself down. I just had to go inside the bus and reflect," said Watson. The parents of the child were too emotional to speak publicly, but were thankful to both the police and Watson for rescuing their little boy. Milpitas police detained Alfonso David Edington, 23, who had no connections to the family and is currently being held on charges of kidnapping. ------------------------------------------------------------- Welcome to TomoUSA, where we animate the most entertaining news from ‘MURRICA. Boeing patents Defensive Force to deflect explosive shockwaves

01:15
Deflector shields seen in sci-fi movies such as Star Wars may soon be a reality as Boeing has been granted a patent for a shockwave attenuation system which uses an energy shield to protect objects from explosion shockwaves and shrapnel. The system generates a plasma shield using lasers, electricity and microwaves after detecting a nearby explosion. The system is designed to protect objects from the considerable damage that shockwaves and shrapnel can cause following an explosion. A small area is ionized, making the temperature, density and composition inside it different from its surroundings. The shockwaves are either then absorbed, reflected or deflected by the protective arc. The innovative technology has one shortcoming. Since the shield also absorbs light, everyone protected by the system would be completely blind when the system operates. The Defence Science and Technology Laboratory has also been working on a similar defense system. ------------------------------------------------------------- Welcome to TomoUSA, where we animate the most entertaining news from ‘MURRICA. ‘American Sniper’ trial ends: Chris Kyle’s killer, Eddie Ray Routh, loses insanity plea, gets life

01:40
The ‘American Sniper’ trial came to a close yesterday after the jury found former U.S. Marine Eddie Ray Routh guilty of killing Navy SEAL Chris Kyle and his friend Chad Littlefield. Routh was convicted of fatally shooting Kyle and Littlefield at a gun range near Fort Worth in February 2013. During the two-week long trial, Routh’s defense team pleaded not guilty by reason of insanity. At first glance, the defense team seemed to have several advantages. Routh has a documented history of mental instability, he has been diagnosed with PTSD, and according to his mother, was on around nine different medications to help him combat his severe PTSD. However, prosecutors and the jury didn’t buy the defense team’s arguments. According to prosecutors, Routh has voiced potential motives for killing Kyle and Littlefield, which suggests that he was capable of coherent, rational thought at the time of the murders. Routh admitted that he was annoyed when both Kyle and Littlefield didn’t talk to him much on the drive to the gun range, and was “riled up” when Littlefield seemed to be watching him closely once they got to the range. Prosecutors claimed that Routh also demonstrated clear thinking when he bought burritos and picked up his dog from his house after the murders. According to prosecutors, Routh seemed to know that killing the two men was wrong, as he quickly fled the scene after the murders and also later told several people he felt guilty about his actions. As one of the prosecutors, Assistant Attorney General Jane Starnes, concisely put it, “Crazy don’t run.” In the state of Texas, this disqualifies someone from being legally insane. Among many of Routh’s outlandish statements, one particularly colorful one involved hybrid “pig people.” Routh’s belief that hybrid “pig people” were trying to kill him that day was dismissed by the prosecution, who argued that it was an idea Routh stole from a Seinfeld episode he’d watched in jail. After a relatively short jury deliberation that lasted less than three hours, Routh was sentenced to life imprisonment without parole. ------------------------------------------------------------- Welcome to TomoUSA, where we animate the most entertaining news from ‘MURRICA. Deadly allergic reaction: Teen with serious milk allergy dies after eating pancakes, family sues

01:11
The Johnson family of Bemidji, Minn. is suing a local diner for serving Scott Johnson, 16, his last meal. Scott was highly allergic to dairy pancakes, so the family rarely ate in restaurants. One June morning, they went to the Minnesota Nice Cafe and explained Johnson's allergy. The staff reportedly assured Scott they would serve him dairy free pancakes and clean the kitchen stove before cooking them. But immediately upon finishing his meal, Scott could tell he was having an allergic reaction. "He had just finished and said 'we have to go now," his mother, Cindy Johnson, said. Scott had left his epipen at home that day. The family rushed to the house to get it, but Scott had already gone into intense anaphylactic shock. He was life flighted to a hospital, but died three days later. The family is suing the cafe, and a family friend set up a Go Fund Me account to help them cover the medical bills. ------------------------------------------------------------- Welcome to TomoUSA, where we animate the most entertaining news from ‘MURRICA. Road rage incident turns into fist fight in Walmart parking lot - TomoNews

15:09
DENVER — Video footage captured a road rage confrontation that led to a fist fight outside a Walmart in Colorado on June 17. Devin Jones was reportedly riding his motorcycle through a neighborhood in Denver, when he noticed a white sedan speed by him. Jones decided to pursue the sedan, which sped through the streets, zipping around other vehicles and on wrong side of the road. Jones captured the entire incident on his helmet camera, writing that he wanted to follow the guy just to see his face. But, when the sedan’s driver outmaneuvered and out-crazied Jones, the motorcyclist abandoned his chase … or so he thought. After giving up, Jones decided to test out some tires in a dirt lot, and noticed the same speed devil pass by. He followed the vehicle into a Walmart parking lot. Jones confronted the driver, who had a female passenger in the vehicle, asking him why he was in such a hurry, to which the driver explained, “Yo momma f***ed me good.” After the two spent a few minutes exchanging insults, the driver began touching Jones’ motorcycle. When Jones asked him not to, the driver makes a point to touch the bike again. That’s when Jones made his own point by shoving the driver away. The two spar for a few minutes, with Jones getting in a few good punches and shoves before Walmart officials and passersby interrupt. “I should have left it alone but instead I confronted him and let anger make me look like a complete asshole,” Jones wrote about the incident. “I thought it was common knowledge not to hit a motorcycle in front of its lover... owner.” ------------------------------------------------------------- Welcome to TomoNews, where we animate the most entertaining news on the internets. Worst selfie: Dumb criminal caught after posting drug-dealing photos to Facebook

Check out our official website: http://us.tomonews.net/ Check out our Android app: http://goo.gl/PtT6VD Check out our iOS app: http://bit.ly/1gO3z1f ------------------------------------------------------------- As if selfies weren't dumb enough already. A Port St. Lucie, Florida man was arrested after posting photos of himself handling drugs on Facebook, according to a New York Daily News report. Apparently thinking it'd be a good idea to show his FB buddies how easy it was to deal drugs right under the nose of Martin County authorities, Taylor Harrison reportedly pulled up alongside a deputy's vehicle and whipped out a stack of cash and some drugs and posed for a photo. Well, the Martin County Sheriff's Office gave the 20-year-old the publicity he seems to have been craving so badly by posting the photos onto their very own Facebook page. Along with a photo of him selling weed to undercover officers and, unsurprisingly, his eventual mugshot. ------------------------------------------------------------- Welcome to TomoUSA, where we animate the most entertaining news from 'MURRICA. Bakersfield high school girl sick of bullying serves semen-filled cupcakes to her tormentors

01:25
A Bakersfield, California girl literally gave her tormentors their just desserts last week after she got fed up with their bullying and decided to serve them up some cupcakes with a not-so-special homemade filling that reportedly included pubic hair, semen and other exotic ingredients. Officials can't prove what was in the treats since all the evidence was eaten. However, at least one of the victims stayed home from school ill after having a bad reaction to the concoction. Police are treating this as a simple school prank, and the school has now banned all outside food. No one was charged in the incident. ------------------------------------------------------------- Welcome to TomoUSA, where we animate the most entertaining news from 'MURRICA. Train crashes into car: Fatal accident captured on video by Kentucky trainspotters

01:35
A day of trainspotting for two men turned into witnessing a tragedy when they captured a deadly train wreck on video. On the outskirts of Louisville, Kentucky, around 4 p.m. last Saturday, a Union Pacific freight train was on the move, hauling a line of 100 railcars stretching about three quarters of a mile long. It was moving around 60 mph as it headed towards the Buechel Avenue crossing where a few trainspotters were taking video of the trains on the line that day. At that same moment, A white Toyota Camry with four young Bhutanese men coming from soccer practice were heading towards the crossing. Even though the crossing bells and lights were working, the driver proceeded through the junction. Two passengers, 16-year-old Chita Chuwan and 19-year-old Suk Man Rai, were killed at the scene, after the car was dragged a half a mile down the tracks. The driver and another passenger, whose identities are being withheld, are listed in critical condition. ------------------------------------------------------------- Welcome to TomoUSA, where we animate the most entertaining news from ‘MURRICA. Jada, 16, thought going to a house party last month would be harmless. Her friend knew the person throwing the party, so she tagged along. What was supposed to be a normal high school party, however, turned into her worst nightmare. The teen told Houston police she didn't know she had been raped until photos and tweets started popping up on social media. Classmates sharing images of the incident made it go viral. Jada told investigators she believes the host of the party gave her punch that was spiked. The teen says she has no recollection what took place next. All Jada knows is that she's angry and wants justice for that haunting night. Buck rescue: family saves deer stuck on frozen lake in Indiana

02:31
Chase Lankford and his companions were on their way to visit family in Indiana. That’s when the trio discovered what they initially thought was a deer decoy sitting on a frozen lake. But upon closer inspection, they realized it was an actual deer, unable to get up and walk on the ice to safety. Lankford and company then set out to rescue the deer. The video shows the buck being pulled from the ice. At one point, the buck walks on his hind legs as his human rescuer holds the fore legs. The buck seemed appreciative following the rescue. Lankford reports the family returned the following day to check on the deer, following his tracks in the snow for 30 minutes. Alas, they never saw him again. ------------------------------------------------------------- Welcome to TomoUSA, where we animate the most entertaining news from ‘MURRICA. Self-defense death: Father and robber die in shootout inside car with wife and baby - TomoNews

01:20
HOUSTON — A father in north Houston was killed by a robber while taking his wife and baby daughter to buy ice cream on Sunday afternoon. The robber also died when the father shot him in self-defense. Erasmo Alaniz and his wife, Deana Precella, had just arrived at the strip mall at 200 Aldine Bender Road shortly after 5 p.m. when a man got into their car next to the baby and pointed a gun at Precella's neck. "Give me all you have" he demanded, and, at first, Alaniz handed over his cash. But then Alaniz grabbed his pistol and a gunfight broke out inside the car. Alaniz was fatally shot and died in the driver's seat, while the robber was able to get out of the car. He didn't make far. A few paces into the parking lot, the robber collapsed on his back and died. Police are looking for a gray Dodge Charger that the robber's accomplice used to drop him off. Immediately after the shooting, a man who is apparently the victim's brother was recorded lashing out in anguish at the killer, who was already dead. Deana Precella says Erasmo Alaniz is her second husband to be taken from her, after the father of her other children was killed in another robbery in 2007. The family has setup a GoFundMe page to help cover Erasmo's funeral expenses. Guard dog: german shepherd attacks intruder, family discovers blood all over the house - TomoNews

01:18
RICHMOND, VIRGINIA — A pet german shepherd has proven his worth as a guard dog, after his family arrived home to find blood splattered across the walls of their house, likely from an intruder. On August 10, Tristan Murran and his mother walked through their front door, their dog Oden waiting patiently near the entrance. At first glance, everything seemed normal, but a few paces deeper into their home revealed blood on the walls, the doors, the carpeted stairs, and all across the second floor of their house. Tristan claims Oden has never attacked anyone before or shown any signs of aggression, but he clearly has it in him when he finds himself in the line of duty. So far, there are no leads on a potential suspect. The family posted a video of the crime scene in their home on Facebook, which has since racked up more than 17 million views. According to ABC News 8, authorities suspect the intruder must have required medical attention following the failed break and enter attempt. ------------------------------------------------------------- Go to https://www.patreon.com/tomonews and become a Patron now TomoNews is now on Patreon and we've got some cool perks for our hardcore fans. Sikh boy records racist school bus bullies calling him ‘terrorist’ for wearing turban

00:57
A video recorded and first uploaded to YouTube by our new hero, a Sikh schoolboy named Harsukh Singh is going viral just a couple of days since it appeared. It shows Singh telling the viewer he’s being harassed by some kids (who appear to be some of his schoolmates, or who at least know his name). He occasionally responds to their taunts but appears confident that he’s got the better of them with this video. He knows something they don’t—they’re about to be shamed in front of the entire internet. The usual school bus clamour means it’s hard to hear the entire exchange, but it appears to go something like this: Harsukh Singh: “Kids being racist to me.” Girl: “[inaudible] Terrorist! Terrorist!” Girl: “Quit filming us, Harsukh.” ingh: “I can if you’re being racist to me, motherf**ker.” Girl: “Terrorist! Terrorist!” Girl: “inaudible] I never gave your (sic) permission. You’re going to court.” Another kid: “You’re going to court!” Yet another kid: “You’re going to court!” Girl (to Singh): “I’ll sue you!” Singh: “Who cares? I don’t care…” Off-screen adult (to group): “[inaudible] Stop being rude.” In the first instance of the video posted online, reportedly uploaded by the little champion himself, Singh provides this description: “kids being racist to me and calling me an afghani terrorist. please dont act like this towards people like me … if u dont know im not muslim im sikh.” Word, little brother. ------------------------------------------------------------- Welcome to TomoUSA, where we animate the most entertaining news from ‘MURRICA. Seattle PD Officer Whitlatch gets desk duty after arresting a elderly veteran William Wingate

02:22
Seattle Police apologize for mistreating a 70-year-old man out on a stroll with his golf club — but that's just the tip of the iceberg. On July 9, 2014, William Wingate was walking through the Capitol Hill section of Seattle, Washington as part of his normal routine when Officer Cynthia Whitlatch of the Seattle Police Department pulled her cruiser over and accused him of swinging a golf club at her. Wingate wasn't having it. The Air Force veteran and retired Metro bus driver tried to explain to Officer Whitlatch that he uses the club as a walking stick and was simply minding his own business. Officer Whitlatch then called for backup and the senior citizen was placed under arrest and put into a paddy wagon, which because of his age, he needed some help into according to the report — talk about not respecting your elders! In October of last year the City Attorney recommended the case for dismissal after former Washington State Representative Dawn Mason became involved. Working with Chief Kathleen O'Toole and Deputy Chief Carmen Best, the three were able to get the charges dropped, and right this wrong, at least on paper. But the rabbit hole goes much deeper, it seems. Officer Whitlatch ex-girlfriend, who was also a police officer at one point, says that Whitlatch often dropped the N-bomb around her when talking about her day on the job. In another incident, Seattle resident Brian Davis got into a dispute on Facebook with Officer Whitlatch during the Ferguson protests and riots last summer while talking about a post from another officer/mutual friend who was "tired of folks assuming all cops are racist." Davis's reply was simply that the poster should stop thinking the protests were just about "the cops" and realize its about "The System." That's when Officer Whitlatch left this reply saying in essence "black racism" is far more damaging as a whole than "white racism." And black folks shouldn't be paranoid that all white folks are "out to get them." Oh really? I'm sure Wingate here felt the same exact way back in July, about two seconds before this incident. ------------------------------------------------------------- Welcome to TomoUSA, where we animate the most entertaining news from ‘MURRICA. Smartphone gun: Palm-sized pistol looks like a mobile phone when folded up - TomoNews

01:20
MONTICELLO, MINNESOTA — A Minnesota startup has come up with the latest innovation in concealable weapons — a gun that looks like your run-of-the-mill mobile phone. According to CNN Money, entrepreneur Kirk Kjellberg developed the Ideal Conceal gun as a way to carry a weapon without bothering other people. Unlike other easily concealed guns like the folding revolver or the Taurus Curve — a gun shaped like a box with rounded edges — its main draw is that it doesn't look like a gun when folded. A double barreled .380 caliber derringer, the Ideal Conceal is designed to resemble a smartphone. It transforms into a gun when the safety clicks open and releases the grip. The gun cannot be fired while in its locked position, making it safe to carry while clipped to the side or in a purse. The palm-sized pistol addresses the demand for easy-to-carry guns that can be accessed quickly for self-defense, according to the brand's website. Already, Kjellberg has received thousands of emails from people who want to buy the weapon. It will sell for $395 when it goes on the market later this year. Not everyone is sold on the idea, though. CNN Money reports that law enforcement officials are concerned about a weapon disguised as something else and hidden in plain sight. And depending on state and local laws, Ideal Conceal carriers may still be required to have a concealed carry permit. ------------------------------------------------------------- Welcome to TomoUSA, where we animate the most entertaining news from ‘MURRICA. Future tech: Sony files U.S. patent for smart contact lens that records and plays video - TomoNews

01:29
ALEXANDRIA, VIRGINIA —Tech giant Sony has joined the race to develop digital contact lens technology. Sony has plans for a wearable lens that can take photos and video, according to an application filed with the U.S. patent office, Tech Story reported. Sony filed a patent in the U.S. in May of 2013 for a smart contact lens — a fact only picked up by the media this week. The device would not only take photos and video, but store data, with no need for a tether to a smartphone. The lens would feature an organic electroluminescence display screen, according to the patent. By blinking an eye, the user would be able to operate the lens via the display. The camera would feature autofocus, automatic exposure adjustment and an adjustable zoom. The device would also be able to record video, store it and play it back. The news that Sony has been working on this technology for several years follows a trend set by Google and Samsung. In 2014, Google revealed a high-tech lens to help diabetics measure glucose levels in their tears. The same year, Samsung filed a patent in South Korea for a smart contact lens that houses a tiny camera. ------------------------------------------------------------- Welcome to TomoUSA, where we animate the most entertaining news from ‘MURRICA. New York subway fail: NYC Second Avenue subway project may be cut short due to funding gaps

01:27
A $15 billion dollar gap in the New York City Metropolitan Transportation Authority's five-year capital plan may curtail the city's Second Avenue subway project. According to MTA Chairman Tom Prendergast, funding gaps in MTA's $32 billion capital proposal will probably mean that the second phase of the construction project will be eliminated. This phase of the construction project extends from 96th Street to 125th Street in East Harlem. Prendergast told the New York Daily News that the MTA's priorities are repairing and replacing equipment in the existing subway lines rather than extending new lines. If the Second Avenue subway project is completed, the new subway line will stretch 8.5 miles along the east side of Manhattan and connect East Harlem to the island's southern tip. The project's first phase, which extends from 96th Street to 63rd Street, will be completed by the end of 2016. As a project that's been in the works since the 1920, the Second Avenue subway line has endured numerous false starts and delays mainly due to lack of funding. The New York State budget is up for negotiation this April though, and Governor Cuomo has hinted that transit funding is up for negotiation later this year. ------------------------------------------------------------- Welcome to TomoUSA, where we animate the most entertaining news from ‘MURRICA. Carolina butcher: upright walking crocodile fossil discovered in North Carolina

01:11
A newly discovered ancestor of the crocodile known as the Carolina butcher has been unveiled by boffins from North Carolina State University (NCSU). The giant land-dwelling crocodylomorph inhabited modern-day North Carolina during the late Triassic period. Dinosaur diggers from NSCU and the North Carolina Museum of Natural Sciences discovered several bone fragments belonging to a newly discovered giant upright crocodile during a dig in the Pekin Formation in Chatham County, North Carolina. The bone fragments were from the skull, spine and upper forearm of Carnufex carolinensis, or the Carolina butcher. The fragments were actually discovered a decade ago, but it wasn’t until experts got around to analysing them that that realized what they had found. A roughly nine-foot tall ancestor of the crocodile that paleontologists believe was among the period’s top predators until the arrival of the dinosaurs. The butcher would roam the warm, wet equatorial region around 230 million years ago using its powerful jaws to crunch through small mammals and armored reptiles. The discovery has changed the thinking on what early crocodiles looked like and did. ------------------------------------------------------------- Welcome to TomoUSA, where we animate the most entertaining news from ‘MURRICA. Super sad dog video: Sicko cuts off rottweiler’s ears and nose - TomoNews

06:46
DETROIT — An adorable Rottweiler mix from Detroit, Michigan is recovering from a brutal attack that saw someone cut off his ears and nose. It’s unclear what exactly happened to the dog, named Baron, but the Michigan Humane Society says it looks like a dangerous human was involved. In a video posted to their official Facebook page, the society says Baron was found wandering in West Detroit last week when someone coaxed him into a local business. The society then picked him up and have been treating his injuries. They’re offering $35,000 reward for information leading to the arrest and conviction of the sicko or sickos involved. In addition to the damage on his ears and nose, there were injuries on the backs of his legs. The medical staff will soon have to amputate his tail because of the extent of damage inflicted on it, reported the Detroit Free Press. On a more positive note, specialists may be able perform reconstructive surgery on his nose. ------------------------------------------------------- For news that's fun and never boring, visit our channel: http://www.youtube.com/user/TomoNewsUS Subscribe to stay updated on all the top stories: https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCt-W... ‘American Horror Story: Freak Show’ star Ben Woolf killed after being hit by SUV while jaywalking

01:23
Actor Ben Woolf, known for his roles on television show “American Horror Story” died on Monday after being struck by a car in Hollywood last week, according to a New York Times report. Woolf, who played the character Meep on the popular FX horror anthology series and was diagnosed with pituitary dwarfism at a young age, was clipped on the head by a passing SUV’s side-view mirror while allegedly jaywalking near Hollywood Boulevard last Thursday. The perpetrator remained on the scene and wasn’t charged with any crimes, according to local reports citing a spokesman for the Los Angeles Police Department. The 4-foot-4 actor, however, was hospitalized in critical condition and died of a stroke at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center about 3:20 p.m. on Monday. In addition to his work on the Emmy-nominated show, the 34-year-old, also worked as a preschool teacher. In a recent interview, he spoke candidly about the difficulties he faced living with dwarfism. “People sometimes don’t give me the value that I deserve, but I learned to ignore it and do what I can do to the best of my ability,” he said in January in a video released by the show. Family members, who say they’re touched by the outpouring and love and support following the tragic accident, are planning to host a memorial service in Santa Barbara. ------------------------------------------------------------- Welcome to TomoUSA, where we animate the most entertaining news from ‘MURRICA. Grizzly bear attack: Bear snaps hiker’s arm - he then walks 3 miles to his car - TomoNews

02:11
MADISON VALLEY, MONTANA — A grizzly bear attack in Bear Creek almost killed a man. Somehow, he miraculously survived, walked three miles and drove himself nearly 20 more miles to the nearest hospital. Todd Orr says he was walking along a hiking trail scouting for elk when he spotted a mother grizzly bear and her two cubs. When the mother charged at Todd, he tried hitting her with bear spray from 25 feet away, but she ran through the mist and took him to the ground. He tried to lay as motionless as possible while the bear had her way with him, biting him on the shoulders, arms and backpack. At some point she must’ve got bored and left, so Todd tried to get to his car. About 10 minutes later, the bear returned for another attack. This time, she bit him so hard on his forearm, it cracked the bone. Surprisingly, after a few more bites, the crazed sow gave pause and walked away. Stunned, Todd got up, thanked God and made a video of his account, which he later posted to Facebook. The video has accumulated more than 30 million views in less than two days. After driving himself 17 miles to the hospital, it took them eight hours to stitch Todd back together. Fortunately, he’s expected to make a full recovery. ------------------------------------------------------------- Welcome to TomoNews, where we animate the most entertaining news on the internets. ATLANTA — A Charlotte, North Carolina family are in absolute despair following the death of their 5-year-old son last Friday. According to the Atlanta Journal Constitution, Charlie Holt was with his parents at a rotating restaurant atop the Westin Peachtree Plaza hotel in downtown Atlanta. Police say he wandered a short distance from their table, and became stuck between the rotating wall and a table. The restaurant stopped rotating automatically and hotel staff rushed to help Charlie. It took firefighters 30 minutes free him, reported Fox 5 Atlanta. Despite their efforts, he died later at a local hospital from head trauma. In a statement, Charlie’s family asked for privacy and prayers, saying, “No words can express their loss. If you have a loved one, please give them an extra hug today.” ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Go to https://www.patreon.com/tomonews and become a Patron now TomoNews is now on Patreon and we've got some cool perks for our hardcore fans. Home invader shot dead after gunfight with 13-year-old boy in South Carolina - TomoNews

01:07
LADSON, SOUTH CAROLINA — A 13-year-old boy opened fire on a would-be burglar after the suspect tried to break into his house in Charleston, South Carolina on Tuesday afternoon, the Charleston County Sheriff's Office said. Police on Tuesday night identified the deceased suspect as 31-year-old Lamar Brown from Summerville. Ira Bennett, who was the getaway the driver, has been charged with first degree burglary. At 1:30 p.m., a 13-year-old Ladson boy was home alone when he heard a commotion at the back of his house. The boy retrieved his mother's gun and went to investigate. The mother said to the Post and Courier that she bought the gun for protection but never taught her son how to use it. "I tell my kids that if anything ever happens to call 911, but I also tell them to protect themselves if they have to," she said to the Post and Courier. "I never would have dreamed that this would have been a part of our day today." The boy saw someone trying to get in through the back door and opened fire through the door. The suspect reportedly fired back. Neighbor Debbie Griffin witnessed the attempted burglary and reportedly heard around six shots before calling the police. She added that her son was outside at the time as more shots rang out, reported the Post and Courier. The suspect was seen fleeing in a silver vehicle. He was later taken to Trident Hospital where he died, authorities said. Neighbors thanked the boy for his quick action, but the family said they no longer felt safe in their home. The family had just moved into the house this past May. The sheriff's office is continuing the investigation and deputies are searching for the driver of the vehicle. ------------------------------------------------------------- Welcome to TomoUSA, where we animate the most entertaining news from ‘MURRICA. New York thief steals $1.6m bucket of gold from armored truck parked in Manhattan - TomoNews

01:52
NEW YORK — Surveillance footage released by the New York Police Department this week shows the alleged theft of a bucket of gold flakes worth nearly $1.6 million from an armored truck. The alleged theft took place on West 48th Street in Manhattan on Sept. 29 when the 86-pound bucket was left unattended by security guards in the back of the parked truck, the New York Times reported. When one guard left to make a collection, the other went to retrieve his cellphone from the cab. Police said it was during this 20-second window that the suspect committed the crime. The man saw an opportunity and probably did not know what was inside the bucket, according to police. Surveillance footage captured the moment the suspect grabbed the bucket from the back of the truck and walked calmly away through the crowds. Police said the suspect headed east down 48th Street, pausing often to regain his breath, before disappearing near Third Avenue, according to the New York Times. WNBC New York reported that the man got into a white van, but that was not clear from the surveillance footage. Police described the suspect as a Hispanic man, aged between 50 and 60 years old. He is 5 feet 6 inches tall, weighs 150 pounds and was wearing a black vest, green shirt, blue jeans, and carrying a black messenger bag. Police believe the man is hiding in Florida and could be in the Orlando or Miami area. The bucket of gold has not been recovered. ------------------------------------------------------------- Welcome to TomoNews, where we animate the most entertaining news on the internets. Cockroaches are breaking Playstation 4 consoles all over the USA - TomoNews

04:25
’MURICA — Cockroaches can be found in sewers, walls, beds, floors, cereal and all sorts of nooks and crannies, but going by a recent video from electronic repair experts Tronics-Fix, they also nest inside Playstation 4s. The problem for gamers is that it causes the machine to malfunction. According to Gizmodo, who spoke to several repairmen about the problem, the problem is widespread. The PS4 is apparently the choice accommodation as its vents are ideally located for the bugs to come and go as they please. The machine’s power supply is also apparently warm enough to keep the bugs feeling toasty. The pests do eventually get zapped by the inner workings of Sony’s console, but then their corpses and poop melt into the hardware. What’s worse is that Sony reportedly won’t repair bug-ridden PS4s, but several independent repairmen, like Tronics Fix will. ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Go to https://www.patreon.com/tomonews and become a Patron now TomoNews is now on Patreon and we've got some cool perks for our hardcore fans. White lion cub: Brazil zoo shows off two-month old white lion cub

01:09
A rare white lion cub has been born in a zoo in Santa Catarina, Brazil, according to Reuters. Two-month-old female cub Clara is reportedly in good health. She was rejected by her mother shortly after giving birth but zookeepers at Beto Carrero World have been feeding the cub a diet of goats' milk mixed with vitamins. For the time being, Clara is in a pen isolated from the zoo's other lions but keepers expect to re-introduce her to her pack at six months of age. Clara's parents were brought over to the Brazilian zoo from Pretoria, South Africa in 2011. White lions occur due to a color mutation in a certain subspecies of lion. They are quite rare. Their color makes them easy prey for hunters in the wild due to their lack of camouflage. Most white lions are held captive in zoos and circuses worldwide. ------------------------------------------------------------- Welcome to TomoUSA, where we animate the most entertaining news from ‘MURRICA. Seaworld orca dies: Tilikum the Blackfish killer whale has died - TomoNews

09:31
ORLANDO — On January 6, the world’s most famous whale passed away. SeaWorld announced that Tilikum the orca whale has finally died due to complications from a bacterial lung infection he’d been fighting. Tilikum’s health had been in decline for a few months, but the suffering he endured lasted for more than three decades. In 1983, then 2-year-old Tilikum was captured off the coast of Iceland, ripped from his family and taken to a marine zoo. A year later, Tilikum was then transferred to Sealand of the Pacific, a former marine park in Canada’s British Columbia. Forced to learn tricks and perform for audiences regularly, it didn’t take long for Tilikum to become aggressive toward humans. In 1991, 20-year-old part-time trainer Keltie Byrne was working with Tilikum and two other whales when she slipped into the pool. As she struggled to get out of the pool, the whales reportedly prevented her from doing so. Tilikum supposedly carried the young girl’s dead body around on his back for the next two hours before staff were able to retrieve her. After Sealand of the Pacific closed down the next year, Tilikum was then transferred to Orlando, sold to SeaWorld for $1 million. There, too, he was kept in a small tank, built to hold only one-ten-thousandth of the water an orca would normally traverse over a day in the wild. Experts say these conditions can lead to psychosis for the whales, and it wasn’t long before Tilikum struck again. In 1999, a 27-year-old drifter named Daniel Dukes had somehow snuck into the park, and dove into a breeding tank with the whale. The next morning, Dukes’ body was found draped across Tilikum’s back, a familiar sight. His swimming trunks were found floating in the pool. The death was reported as a likely drowning, but that wouldn’t explain all the injuries Dukes suffered. His genitals had reportedly been bitten off. Tilikum’s murderous streak culminated in 2010, when SeaWorld trainer Dawn Brancheau was pulled down into the pool during a live performance. Brancheau’s death was the focus of the 2013 acclaimed documentary Blackfish, which exposed SeaWorld’s treatment of its orca whales and nearly sunk the company after an extreme public backlash. In response to the film, SeaWorld has since halted its captive breeding program, and announced it would be phasing out theatrical orca shows. In a statement last week, SeaWorld mourned the loss of Tilikum, and noted the “world-class care” provided to him, and that he “lived a long and enriching life while at SeaWorld.” ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Welcome to TomoNews, where we animate the most entertaining news on the internets. Alabama cop gets pistol-whipped by suspect and gets mocked online- TomoNews

01:26
BIRMINGHAM, ALABAMA — An Alabama police officer was pistol-whipped with his own gun on Friday — and then mocked by critics of law enforcement after photos of the incident were posted online. The plainclothes Birmingham detective, who has not been named, was investigating a series of burglary cases when he stopped a maroon GMC Yukon on Parkway East near Roebuck Plaza. The officer asked the driver to stay inside. As the officer was calling for backup, the driver got out of the vehicle and assaulted the officer. Police say the driver stole the cop's gun during the confrontation and pistol-whipped him with it before fleeing with his companion. Pictures of the wounded officer circulated on Facebook and Twitter after the incident. Some posts expressed support for the officer, while others mocked him. "Pistol pimped his face n um chillen now," Twitter user @TriggaMane666 posted with a picture of the wounded officer. Two suspects were arrested later that day. One of the suspects was identified as Janard Cunningham, a 34-year-old who has an extensive criminal history dating back to 1999 that includes breaking and entering, assault, and robbery. He was charged with attempted murder. Police expressed outrage. Birmingham police Sergeant Heath Boackle, president of the Fraternal Order of Police, told Al.com: "He was laying there lifeless and people were standing around taking pictures. If the tables were turned, and that was a suspect lying there, they would be rioting." ------------------------------------------------------------- Welcome to TomoUSA, where we animate the most entertaining news from ‘MURRICA. Alligator attack: Texas man ignores warning sign, killed by gator while swimming in bayou - TomoNews

01:22
ORANGE COUNTY, TEXAS — While Hollywood makes millions teaching us not to mess with giant lizards, one man met an unfortunate end after underestimating a massive alligator at a southeast Texas marina. Tommie Woodward, 28, defied a warning sign about alligators in the water and decided to take a late-night swim in the bayou. The friend Woodward had been drinking with saw an alligator in the water and decided to stay out of the water, urging him to do the same. Rather than heed the warning, Woodward reportedly said “Fuck the alligators!” and jumped into the bayou. He was almost immediately attacked by the alligator. Woodward’s body was later fished out of the water by police officers in a boat. Woodward had puncture marks on upper right shoulder, and his left arm as well as his elbow had received severe injuries. Employees at the marina recently erected a sign warning against swimming in the water after the owner of the marina spotted an 11-foot alligator in the water. ------------------------------------------------------------- Welcome to TomoUSA, where we animate the most entertaining news from ‘MURRICA. Man falls into Yellowstone hot springs, body dissolves in fatal ‘hot pot’ calamity - TomoNews

01:24
MAMMOTH, WYOMING — A 23-year-old man who died in Yellowstone National Park last summer was reportedly trying to find a place to soak in the area’s natural hot springs. Portland, Oregon graduate Colin Scott was killed on June 7 when his body dissolved in the boiling acidic waters of a hot spring in the Norris Geyser basin. Yellowstone officials released the final incident report following a Freedom of Information Act request by NBC affiliate KULR. Scott’s sister Sable filmed the whole thing on her cellphone, according to the report, but the video has not been released to the public. An official said there are signs in the park that warn visitors not to fool around with its natural geothermal features. But the Scott siblings were allegedly trying to do just that, by looking for a place to take a dangerous dip, known as a “hot pot.” Sable Scott filmed on her cellphone as her brother checked the water temperature, only to slip and fall into the churning hot spring. Although rescue workers found Colin’s body, their efforts were disrupted by a lightning storm, and by the time they got back to the hot spring, the body had dissolved in the water. No citations were issued in connection with the incident. Hot spring-related injuries have claimed at least 22 lives in and around Yellowstone since 1890, the Washington Post reported, citing park officials. ------------------------------------------------------------- Welcome to TomoNews, where we animate the most entertaining news on the internets. Gun self defense: Army vet Doug Jandebeur, 84, uses handgun to turn tables on mugger

00:57
Doug Jandebeur, 84, fought off a mugger on Monday evening by showing his assailant his automatic handgun. Doug was leaving his business in Tulsa, Oklahoma when a mugger spotted the elderly man. As Doug was getting into his truck to drive home with his wife, the thief pounced—punching him and grabbing his wallet. But Doug is a U.S. Army veteran and Doug is a big fan of the right to bear arms. CCTV footage aired on U.S. news stations caught video of the moment the tables were turned on the surprised would-be robber. The mugger got the wallet, but as Doug put it, he also almost got himself “ventilated” by the Doug’s automatic handgun. The would-be thief turned tail and ran—no one was seriously hurt in the incident, but Doug told the media he was very glad he had his gun with him. In fact, he told reporters that “anyone who doesn’t arm himself is asking for trouble.” Do you agree with Mr. Jandebeur?

Everyday Heroes: Brave woman throws herself in front of car to save child’s life - TomoNews

09:51
BRIDGEPORT, CONNECTICUT — A woman who put her life on the line to save a child from almost certain death is being hailed a hero. Shanta Jordan threw herself in front of a speeding car to stop the little boy from getting pulverized, just seconds before the vehicle ploughed into a restaurant. Surveillance footage captured a scene of carnage in Bridgeport, Connecticut last Wednesday as the out-of-control car hurtled toward pedestrians at high speed. The video shows the quick-thinking Jordan jumping in front of the kid and risking her own life to save his. Jordan, the boy, and a second child were all injured in the incident and rushed to the hospital, News 12 Connecticut reported. Police said Jordan’s body took a lot of the impact from the crash and most likely saved the boy’s life. The boy sustained serious injuries and doctors initially feared that his legs would have to be amputated. Thankfully though, after hours in the operating theater, they managed to save them. Allen Pearson, 37, the driver of the car, was also injured. He’s been charged with reckless driving, failure to stop and having no insurance on the car, which also wasn’t registered. Police said there were no skid marks on the street next to the accident, so it’s likely the driver didn’t even hit the brakes. Jordan didn’t even know the little boy. A special tribute will be held in her honor at Bridgeport City Hall next week. ------------------------------------------------------------- Go to https://www.patreon.com/tomonews and become a Patron now TomoNews is now on Patreon and we've got some cool perks for our hardcore fans. Catch me outside Dr Phil: Out-of-control teen booted off Spirit Airlines after fight - TomoNews

06:58
LOS ANGELES — A troubled teenager who became an internet star after appearing on The Dr. Phil Show was kicked off a flight on Monday for hitting another passenger. The squabble took place on a Spirit Airlines plane out of Los Angeles, when a female passenger got tired waiting for “cash me outside” girl Danielle Bregoli and her mom to put their bags in the overhead compartment, TMZ reported. Danielle’s mom was struggling because of a cast on her injured foot. An argument between the two parties broke out and the female passenger allegedly grabbed Danielle’s mom by the throat. The 13-year-old delinquent then cold-clocked the woman in the face. The arguments continued, with the woman using a derogatory word to accuse Danielle of trying to act black, before allegedly spitting at her. Danielle, her mom and the woman were all booted off the flight, and banned for life by Spirit Airlines. Danielle’s catchphrase became a meme after her appearance on Dr. Phil in September last year. The show was titled: “I Want To Give Up My Car-Stealing, Knife-Wielding, Twerking 13-Year-Old Daughter Who Tried To Frame Me For A Crime.” Danielle has since been cashing on her internet infamy, racking up millions of followers on social media and selling her line of merchandise. Danielle was in Los Angeles last week to film a reunion with Dr. Phil that’s expected to air next week. No arrests were made following the trouble on the plane. ------------------------------------------------------- For news that's fun and never boring, visit our channel: http://www.youtube.com/user/TomoNewsUS Subscribe to stay updated on all the top stories: https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCt-WqkTyKK1_70U4bb4k4lQ?sub_confirmation=1 Visit our website for all the latest, uncensored videos: http://us.tomonews.net Check out our Android app: http://bit.ly/1rddhCj Check out our iOS app: http://bit.ly/1gO3z1f Stay connected with us here: Facebook http://www.facebook.com/TomoNewsUS Twitter @tomonewsus http://www.twitter.com/TomoNewsUS Google+ http://plus.google.com/+TomoNewsUS/ Instagram @tomonewsus http://instagram.com/tomonewsus

Born this way: This miracle baby was born inside an intact amniotic sac

01:05
A premature baby still inside its intact amniotic sac was delivered in January by a group of doctors at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center in Los Angeles, a medical rarity that only happens once in every 80,000 deliveries. Chelsea Phillips underwent an emergency Cesarean section at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center in Los Angeles earlier this year. The baby was born three months early, still in an undamaged amniotic sac. The sac is a tough membrane which protects the baby from injury. The fluid inside contains nutrients for the baby to grow. The baby was still absorbing oxygen through the placenta at the time of birth. “It was a moment that really did, even though its a cliche: we caught our breath. It really felt like a moment of awe,” William Binder, a neonatologist at the hospital, told CBS Los Angeles. “This was really a moment that will stick in my memory for some time.” Soon after the birth, a doctor punctured the sac with his fingers so that the baby could breathe on his own, SFGate reported. The mother was oblivious to the drama until she was shown a picture of her baby snapped by the doctor on his mobile phone hours after the delivery. The baby spent its first few weeks in the hospital’s neonatal intensive care unit. The baby boy is now ten weeks old and is in good health. ------------------------------------------------------------- Welcome to TomoUSA, where we animate the most entertaining news from ‘MURRICA. Hookup app Mixxxer is a more risque version of Tinder

01:51
Do you know about Tinder, the smartphone app that boils down online dating to mere swipes of the finger? It’s the app equivalent of that meat market bar in the trendy part of town. Now there’s another app that goes one further and bares all… literally. Called Mixxxer, it makes no attempts to cover up its reason for existence...or anything else for that matter. Too hot for Apple or Google’s App stores, Mixxxer exists solely as a mobile friendly webapp. And it’s not designed for those who are in to dating or even hanging out-- It's prime directive is to get you to third base, or even hit a home run as fast as possible. While we know it'll be a hit for the fellas out there, we're not so sure about the ladies. It’s hard enough convincing the fairer sex to use any of these apps as it is. With this new app so blatantly “out there”, we wonder how many of the sites over 128-thousand members are actually female? Perhaps Mixxxer's developers watched "The Natural" growing up. "Build it, and they will come." ------------------------------------------------------------- Welcome to TomoUSA, where we animate the most entertaining news from ‘MURRICA. Speeding car nearly kills 3 kids waiting for school bus - TomoNews

01:16
A driver of a white SUV nearly killed a group of kids in Washington state as they waited for their school bus on Friday morning. The driver reportedly weaved through traffic before nearly mowing down the kids. Washington state law requires drivers on either side of the road to stop for a school bus. The only time you are not required to stop for a school bus is if you're on the other side of a major road that has a median or physical barrier that separates the sides of the road. A US$1,000 reward has been offered for info on the driver of a white GMC Jimmy SUV with tinted windows and a sunroof. ------------------------------------------------------------- Welcome to TomoUSA, where we animate the most entertaining news from ‘MURRICA. Drug overdose: Ohio cops post photos of couple passed out in car with kid in the back - TomoNews

01:20
EAST LIVERPOOL, OHIO — Ohio police are making an example out of two irresponsible adults in a bid to show the world the dangers of drug addiction. Photos of a couple passed out from an apparent drug overdose were posted on the City of East Liverpool’s Facebook page on Friday, along with a police report detailing the incident. According to the police report, off-duty officer Kevin Thompson began following a Ford Explorer around 3 p.m. on Wednesday after he noticed it driving erratically. He later witnessed the SUV nearly hit a stopped school bus that was dropping kids off. The cop approached the vehicle and saw the driver speaking unintelligibly with his head bobbing back and forth. A woman was passed out next to him, and a young boy was in the back seat. The driver, James Acord, claimed he was bringing the woman, Rhonda Pasek, to the hospital. The boy in the back was Pasek’s 4-year-old son. When Acord attempted to drive away, Officer Thompson grabbed the keys from the ignition to stop him. An ambulance was called after Acord lost consciousness. Both adults showed signs of a drug overdose, prompting emergency medical services to administer several rounds of Narcan, a drug used to reverse the effects of opioid overdoses. Both were revived and transported to the hospital. It is not known what drug the two had taken. The police report mentions that a pink powdery substance was found in the front seat and subsequently sent to the lab for analysis. Ohio is battling a heroin and opioid epidemic. A record 3,050 people in the state died of drug overdoses last year, according to the Washington Post. Brian Allen, East Liverpool’s director of public service and safety, told the Washington Post that the city deals with heroin-related cases on a daily basis. Acord and Pasek are facing multiple charges and are currently in police custody, while the boy has been turned over to relatives. ------------------------------------------------------------- Welcome to TomoNews, where we animate the most entertaining news on the internets. Armored truck robbery: thieves make off with US$4 million in gold after tying up security guards

01:13
Police are searching for three armed men in North Carolina who robbed an armored truck and two armed guards of $4 million in gold, according to authorities. Two TransValue Inc. security guards reportedly said they had been transporting precious metals, including silver and gold, from Florida to Massachusetts on Sunday evening when their truck developed mechanical problems and they pulled over on Interstate 95, the Wilson County Sheriff's Office said in a statement. The guards said that's when three armed men in a white van approached and ordered them to get down on the ground. The men tied the guards' hands behind their backs before forcing them to walk into the woods. The armed men then took several barrels of gold, estimated at more than US$4 million in value, and fled, the guards said. TransValue, based in Miami, specializes in transportation of precious metals and cash, according to its website. The company was founded in 1992, and states online that its shipments are insured "through the company's all risk insurance policy" up to US$100 million. Owner of the company, Jesus Rodriguez, told The Wilson Times that the heist was "very rare." ------------------------------------------------------------- Welcome to TomoUSA, where we animate the most entertaining news from ‘MURRICA.
