Navy SEAL took 27 bullets and still walked to medevac helicopter, now he’s doing an Ironman

01:55
Former Navy SEAL Mike Day is not your ordinary veteran. Twenty-year SEAL veteran Day was quite literally shot to pieces during his final tour of Iraq, but has made a remarkable recovery. And he is now taking part in an Ironman to help raise funds for the people who helped him recover from his incredible ordeal. It all happened back in 2007 when Day was acting as point man in a raid on a property in Fallujah. First into the room, Day was confronted by four enemy fighters, who duly opened fire. His rifle shot from his hand, Day pulled out his handgun and started shooting, killing one fighter and hitting another who was carrying a grenade, which then exploded less than 10 feet from him. A still dazed Day then woke up, and proceeded to gun down the remaining two enemy combatants. And if that wasn’t enough, Day then got to his feet and walked to the medevac helicopter, even though he had been shot 16 times. Day was hit a total of 27 times. Eleven of the shots hitting his body armor and another 16 his body. He was hit in the stomach, shoulder, buttocks, scrotum and hand. Day spent sixteen days in hospital recovering, during which time he lost 55 pounds. It’s been a long road to recovery for him, but now he’s aiming to give back by raising funds for Carrick Brain Centers, an organization that helps vets suffering from PTSD. ------------------------------------------------------------- Welcome to TomoUSA, where we animate the most entertaining news from ‘MURRICA. Giving away Jordans: Bullied student given Concord Air Jordan 11 lows by classmate Yaovi Mawuli

01:12
A North Carolina high school student helped a bullied classmate by giving him a pair of new shoes. Yaovi Mawuli noticed a student was making fun of Jared Newby, who was wearing a pair of worn out sneakers during French class, according to a report by local Fox affiliate WGHP. Yaovi has an extensive shoe collection because he trades shoes online. He decided to give Jared a pair of “Concord” Air Jordan 11 lows that he had in his size. However, Yaovi worried that giving Jared the shoes directly would hurt his feelings, so he sought help online. A school counselor gave Jared the shoes from Yaovi in her office on the next day. Jared threw the old shoes immediately after he got the new shoes. “It felt like I was standing on air,” Jared told WGHP. Jared took a picture with Yaovi in his brand new Air Jordans that has been making the rounds in social media. ------------------------------------------------------------- Welcome to TomoUSA, where we animate the most entertaining news from ‘MURRICA. Middletown teen Jawaad Jabar killed after trying to steal sneakers in Dayton, Ohio

01:21
16 year old Jawaad Jabbar is described as a “nice guy” and “dedicated student athlete” But the Middletown, Ohio teen seemed to go against these superlatives when he tried to rob a man for his freshly bought pair of Air Jordans in Dayton. Jabbar and his buddies trekked north to Dayton Mall to buy a pair of Air Jordans but arrived too late to purchase them. At some point the goal shifted from buying the new sneakers to just taking them from someone. The teens approached a man and his friend outside in the parking area. Jabbar pulled a handgun on the men, likely expecting complete compliance. Unfortunately for him, that man was licensed to carry a concealed weapon. Jabbar was fatally shot. Police and paramedics responded within minutes to the scene. In a later press conference, Sgt. Phares called this “a random act of ‘I want something that person has and I’m going to take it from them by any means’.” Even so, the town of Middletown is mourning the loss of a teen who seemed to be an otherwise good kid. No charges have been filed against the shooter, who remains anonymous. ------------------------------------------------------------- Welcome to TomoUSA, where we animate the most entertaining news from ‘MURRICA. Home invader shot dead after gunfight with 13-year-old boy in South Carolina - TomoNews

01:07
LADSON, SOUTH CAROLINA — A 13-year-old boy opened fire on a would-be burglar after the suspect tried to break into his house in Charleston, South Carolina on Tuesday afternoon, the Charleston County Sheriff's Office said. Police on Tuesday night identified the deceased suspect as 31-year-old Lamar Brown from Summerville. Ira Bennett, who was the getaway the driver, has been charged with first degree burglary. At 1:30 p.m., a 13-year-old Ladson boy was home alone when he heard a commotion at the back of his house. The boy retrieved his mother's gun and went to investigate. The mother said to the Post and Courier that she bought the gun for protection but never taught her son how to use it. "I tell my kids that if anything ever happens to call 911, but I also tell them to protect themselves if they have to," she said to the Post and Courier. "I never would have dreamed that this would have been a part of our day today." The boy saw someone trying to get in through the back door and opened fire through the door. The suspect reportedly fired back. Neighbor Debbie Griffin witnessed the attempted burglary and reportedly heard around six shots before calling the police. She added that her son was outside at the time as more shots rang out, reported the Post and Courier. The suspect was seen fleeing in a silver vehicle. He was later taken to Trident Hospital where he died, authorities said. Neighbors thanked the boy for his quick action, but the family said they no longer felt safe in their home. The family had just moved into the house this past May. The sheriff's office is continuing the investigation and deputies are searching for the driver of the vehicle. ------------------------------------------------------------- Welcome to TomoUSA, where we animate the most entertaining news from ‘MURRICA. Man walks 35 miles to work: 61-year-old Steven Simoff walks 7+ hours everyday to support sick wife

01:34
If you’re the type to complain about your daily commute, then you better learn a thing or two from Steven Simoff. This 61-year-old Iowa man walks an incredible 35 miles to work everyday in order to provide for his family. The overnight janitor, who works at Lakeside Casino in Osceola, Iowa, leaves his Davis City home at around 3:30 p.m. every day and walks along the shoulder of Interstate 35, just so he can arrive in time to clock in at 11 p.m. for work. After a gruelling day’s worth of walking along the highway, he next begins working the night shift cleaning the Casino. But he doesn't complain, instead Simoff tells The Des Moines Register he will do whatever it takes to get to work so he can provide for his family. His wife Renee had a stroke nine years ago and has since suffered several heart attacks. Money has been tight since Renee's health problems began. "First of all, when you got a family, and you've got a job, you've got to be able to support your family. And you've got to keep your job — the most two important things I can think of," Simoff told the Des Moines Register. Simoff only earns $9.07 an hour at the casino and says his family can't afford to live closer to work because their rent in Davis City is only $400 per month. While the family owns a 2002 Ford Windstar minivan, they rarely can afford to fill up the tank. The seven and a half hour journey means Simoff has to buy a new pair of shoes every two months, but he says he’s never once been injured during his treks. When his night shift is over Simoff usually catches a ride back home with a co-worker or a friend.

Bakersfield high school girl sick of bullying serves semen-filled cupcakes to her tormentors

01:25
A Bakersfield, California girl literally gave her tormentors their just desserts last week after she got fed up with their bullying and decided to serve them up some cupcakes with a not-so-special homemade filling that reportedly included pubic hair, semen and other exotic ingredients. Officials can't prove what was in the treats since all the evidence was eaten. However, at least one of the victims stayed home from school ill after having a bad reaction to the concoction. Police are treating this as a simple school prank, and the school has now banned all outside food. No one was charged in the incident. ------------------------------------------------------------- Welcome to TomoUSA, where we animate the most entertaining news from 'MURRICA. Murder suspect breaks handcuffs, makes great escape - TomoNews

01:25
LAS VEGAS — North Las Vegas police released footage on Wednesday of a Nevada murder suspect breaking a pair of handcuffs, before using a chair to climb through the roof and escape a police interview room, the Associated Press reported. Suspect Alonso Perez is seen in the video handcuffed to the table on Sept. 2. The clip starts off with Perez looking around the room, his eyes repeatedly going up towards the ceiling. Perez then stands up and starts twisting and applying pressure to the handcuffs, which are attached to a metal bar on a table that is bolted to the floor, according to AP. According to police chief Alexander Perez, the suspect was able to apply enough torque with the help of his body weight to finally snap the hinges on the handcuffs. After getting loose, the suspect is then seen calmly returning to his seat as if nothing happened, with his hand over the metal bar, when a police detective checks on him. When the detective leaves, Alonso gets back to planning his great escape. He uses a chair to remove a ceiling tile, and then eventually climbs into the ceiling and out of the interrogation room. According to the police chief, it was another 25 minutes before the cops realized Perez was gone. Perez then dropped down into the hallway and left the building, before going on to jack a work truck that was left running in a nearby parking lot. According to the Las Vegas Sun, Perez was rearrested three days after his escape without incident. Perez is accused of fatally shooting Mohammed Robinson in a McDonald’s parking lot on Aug. 27.

Dog stranded in ice on frozen Charles River rescued from Boston firefighters

01:38
Meet Cooper, a golden retriever-poodle cross, who found himself in more than a bit of trouble over the weekend—marooned in the middle an icy river—before his rescue by firefighters. During a Saturday walk along the bank of Boston's Charles River he bolted, his owners told local police. They posted flyers up around the neighborhood and, luckily, received a call on Sunday informing them Cooper had been spotted on a felled tree in the partially frozen-over river. Firefighters from the Wellesley Fire Department geared up and went to work, reuniting the unlucky mutt with his relieved family. ------------------------------------------------------------- Welcome to TomoUSA, where we animate the most entertaining news from ‘MURRICA. Armed customer shoots and kills angry man in Louisiana, will not be prosecuted - TomoNews

02:15
MANDEVILLE, LOUISIANA — An armed convenience store customer, who shot and killed a highly agitated man will not be prosecuted, according to North Shore District Attorney Warren Montgomery. Montgomery said on May 27 that he will not bring charges against a legally-armed citizen who killed 42-year-old Shawn Breland in Mandeville after Breland attacked people at a convenience store in April. According to a statement released by the DA’s office, the shooting death of Breland “was legally justified under the circumstances.” The shooter, who has not been identified, was shopping at the convenience store at a Shell gas station on April 4, when he saw Breland berating the store clerk. Surveillance video shows Breland making a purchase and talking to the clerk. At one point, Breland becomes angry and the clerk makes a phone call, prompting Breland to exit the store. He returns shortly after and the two begin arguing. The shooter, visibly carrying his gun in a holster, walks up to the register to make his purchase. But is interrupted by Breland, who continues arguing with the clerk. Breland then turns the conversation to the man with the gun. Breland then leaves the store and returns with a bag of chips, which he opens and throws at the clerk. Breland, the clerk and the man with the gun proceed outside where the shooter takes a look at Breland’s license plate to give to police, which just infuriates Breland even more. The irate man chases the armed man back inside. The man, with his gun drawn, pushes Breland away from him, but Breland attacks the man in response and backs him into a corner. According to police, the man told Breland to back off three times before shooting him three times. Breland later died at a local hospital. Police have backed the DA’s decision not to arrest or prosecute the shooter. ------------------------------------------------------------- Welcome to TomoNews, where we animate the most entertaining news on the internets. Hero humiliates old lady harassing girl for selling candy without IRS approval- TomoNews

01:53
ROWLAND HEIGHTS, CALIFORNIA — An old woman has earned internet infamy after her horrible mistreatment of an innocent kid was, naturally, caught on camera. CBSLA reports that said incident began outside a Target store in Rowland Heights, California, where a girl was selling candy for a dollar apiece. Shopper Andy Lizarraga was leaving the store when she saw an old woman march up to the girl and demand to know whether she had permission or a license to sell her wares. The girl didn’t, and told the woman she was just selling candy to make money. The woman continued to yell and scream at the child, telling her that sheriffs were on the way and that she would go to jail. Lizarraga began recording a video of the altercation, which shows a man, later identified as Jay Lopez, stepping in to confront the old woman for harassing the girl. After talking back and forth, Lopez decided to stop the argument by saying he would buy all the candy the girl was selling. The heroic man went in to get money and came out to get his $80 box of candy, which he then proceeded to give it out to people passing by. ------------------------------------------------------------- Welcome to TomoNews, where we animate the most entertaining news on the internets. Controversial heart transplant recipient Anthony Stokes killed in high-speed police chase crash

01:37
A troubled teen with a criminal past died Tuesday after a crime spree that ended in a car crash, according to a Washington Post report. In 2013, Anthony Stokes, 17, received a controversial heart transplant that was initially denied by doctors due to, "a history of non-compliance." Stokes' family said he was being discriminated against due to his criminal history and petitioned for the surgery which was later performed. According to police, Stokes first stole a car from Perimeter Mall then drove to Roswell approximately 20 minutes away where he shot an elderly woman in a botched robbery attempt. Stokes lost control of the stolen vehicle, struck a pedestrian and crashed into a pole. ------------------------------------------------------------- Welcome to TomoUSA, where we animate the most entertaining news from ‘MURRICA. Bullied little girl and brother in viral video say school won't stop the bullies

01:28
Meet eight-year-old Anna Cymbaluk and her seven-year-old brother Ben from Minnesota. Their mother, Sarah, shot a video of the children, with Anna in tears, describing the constant harassment by bullies they experience at school, and uploaded it to a local news channel's Facebook page last Wednesday. "Tell me how it makes you feel" Sarah asks her daughter. "It makes me feel sad, and scared." Anna repies. The children say the abuse starts on the schoolbus every day, where the driver once told Anna to "Sit your (expletive) down!" An older boy on the bus also threatens the children and called a high school girl who sits near them a lesbian. Another bully on the playground told Ben he's going to die in a suicide, and Anna was injured as recently as Wednesday when a bully stabbed her in the palm with a pencil. Anna and her mother have asked the principal of Magelssen Elementary to intervene on many occasions, but the school's reaction has been dismissive. So finally, after five meetings with administrators since December produced no results, Sarah Cymbaluk turned to Facebook. The video instantly went viral and finally, little Anna had the school's attention. "Can you tell me how many times you've been in and told the principal about it?" her mother asked. "Like five." Anna replied. "And what have they done about it?" "Nothing". Worried about the school's image, school and Fosston district administrators called Jon and Anna Cymbaluk into a meeting a day later, where their first words to the parents were 'What are you going to do to make us look good?' and asked them to remove the video. The principal suggested Anna be sent to see a counselor, but her mother Sarah replied, "My kids are not the ones doing this, they should not be pulled out of class." ------------------------------------------------------------- Welcome to TomoUSA, where we animate the most entertaining news from 'MURRICA. Teen bullied into suicide: Girl jumps off bridge after dad posts public shaming video - TomoNews

01:37
TACOMA, WASHINGTON — A 13-year-old girl jumped to her death off a bridge and onto a busy interstate after her father shamed her in a video posted online. Izabel Laxamana died shortly after jumping off Interstate 5 on Friday, May 29. Mere days before Laxamana's father, Jeff, had reportedly punished her for an as-yet-unreported transgression by cutting off her hair and uploading a public shaming video to YouTube, Jezebel reports. The original 15-second video filmed by her father has since been removed, but one of Laxamana's friends shared the clip by taping the original on his phone. The Giaudrone Middle School student was taken to a Seattle hospital after jumping from the bridge, but later succumbed to her injuries. The King County Medical Examiner's office ruled her death a suicide on Monday. A website honoring Izabel and calling attention to the issue of public shaming has since been set up. Train crashes into car: Fatal accident captured on video by Kentucky trainspotters

01:35
A day of trainspotting for two men turned into witnessing a tragedy when they captured a deadly train wreck on video. On the outskirts of Louisville, Kentucky, around 4 p.m. last Saturday, a Union Pacific freight train was on the move, hauling a line of 100 railcars stretching about three quarters of a mile long. It was moving around 60 mph as it headed towards the Buechel Avenue crossing where a few trainspotters were taking video of the trains on the line that day. At that same moment, A white Toyota Camry with four young Bhutanese men coming from soccer practice were heading towards the crossing. Even though the crossing bells and lights were working, the driver proceeded through the junction. Two passengers, 16-year-old Chita Chuwan and 19-year-old Suk Man Rai, were killed at the scene, after the car was dragged a half a mile down the tracks. The driver and another passenger, whose identities are being withheld, are listed in critical condition. ------------------------------------------------------------- Welcome to TomoUSA, where we animate the most entertaining news from ‘MURRICA. ‘American Sniper’ trial ends: Chris Kyle’s killer, Eddie Ray Routh, loses insanity plea, gets life

01:40
The ‘American Sniper’ trial came to a close yesterday after the jury found former U.S. Marine Eddie Ray Routh guilty of killing Navy SEAL Chris Kyle and his friend Chad Littlefield. Routh was convicted of fatally shooting Kyle and Littlefield at a gun range near Fort Worth in February 2013. During the two-week long trial, Routh’s defense team pleaded not guilty by reason of insanity. At first glance, the defense team seemed to have several advantages. Routh has a documented history of mental instability, he has been diagnosed with PTSD, and according to his mother, was on around nine different medications to help him combat his severe PTSD. However, prosecutors and the jury didn’t buy the defense team’s arguments. According to prosecutors, Routh has voiced potential motives for killing Kyle and Littlefield, which suggests that he was capable of coherent, rational thought at the time of the murders. Routh admitted that he was annoyed when both Kyle and Littlefield didn’t talk to him much on the drive to the gun range, and was “riled up” when Littlefield seemed to be watching him closely once they got to the range. Prosecutors claimed that Routh also demonstrated clear thinking when he bought burritos and picked up his dog from his house after the murders. According to prosecutors, Routh seemed to know that killing the two men was wrong, as he quickly fled the scene after the murders and also later told several people he felt guilty about his actions. As one of the prosecutors, Assistant Attorney General Jane Starnes, concisely put it, “Crazy don’t run.” In the state of Texas, this disqualifies someone from being legally insane. Among many of Routh’s outlandish statements, one particularly colorful one involved hybrid “pig people.” Routh’s belief that hybrid “pig people” were trying to kill him that day was dismissed by the prosecution, who argued that it was an idea Routh stole from a Seinfeld episode he’d watched in jail. After a relatively short jury deliberation that lasted less than three hours, Routh was sentenced to life imprisonment without parole. ------------------------------------------------------------- Welcome to TomoUSA, where we animate the most entertaining news from ‘MURRICA. Child fatally crushed after getting trapped in rotating restaurant - TomoNews

03:51
ATLANTA — A Charlotte, North Carolina family are in absolute despair following the death of their 5-year-old son last Friday. According to the Atlanta Journal Constitution, Charlie Holt was with his parents at a rotating restaurant atop the Westin Peachtree Plaza hotel in downtown Atlanta. Police say he wandered a short distance from their table, and became stuck between the rotating wall and a table. The restaurant stopped rotating automatically and hotel staff rushed to help Charlie. It took firefighters 30 minutes free him, reported Fox 5 Atlanta. Despite their efforts, he died later at a local hospital from head trauma. In a statement, Charlie’s family asked for privacy and prayers, saying, “No words can express their loss. If you have a loved one, please give them an extra hug today.” ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Go to https://www.patreon.com/tomonews and become a Patron now TomoNews is now on Patreon and we've got some cool perks for our hardcore fans. Hate crime? Atheist Craig Hicks murders 3 Muslims in their Chapel Hill home #MuslimLivesMatter

01:55
Craig Stephen Hicks has been charged for the murders that some have suggested may have been motivated by strong anti-religion beliefs. Police said there was a disagreement over parking. Not only did Hicks recently post a picture of his revolver to Facebook but he had also shared several images which were critical of Islam, Christianity and faith in general. The newlyweds Barakat, his wife Abu-Salha and her sister were killed in their own home. When police arrived, they found all three dead. Hicks later turned himself in to authorities and was charged with three counts of murder. At the end of the day we’ve got three dead Muslims, one of whom was dentist who volunteered his services to refugees of the Syrian civil war. And then there we’ve got Craig Hicks, who winds up acting out exactly what Richard Dawkins and Sam Harris identify as the problem with Islam—violence fueled by radical beliefs. The hashtag #MuslimLivesMatter started trending on Twitter following the triple-murder. Dawkins condemned the atrocity in a tweet. ------------------------------------------------------------- Welcome to TomoUSA, where we animate the most entertaining news from ‘MURRICA. ‘American Horror Story: Freak Show’ star Ben Woolf killed after being hit by SUV while jaywalking

01:23
Actor Ben Woolf, known for his roles on television show “American Horror Story” died on Monday after being struck by a car in Hollywood last week, according to a New York Times report. Woolf, who played the character Meep on the popular FX horror anthology series and was diagnosed with pituitary dwarfism at a young age, was clipped on the head by a passing SUV’s side-view mirror while allegedly jaywalking near Hollywood Boulevard last Thursday. The perpetrator remained on the scene and wasn’t charged with any crimes, according to local reports citing a spokesman for the Los Angeles Police Department. The 4-foot-4 actor, however, was hospitalized in critical condition and died of a stroke at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center about 3:20 p.m. on Monday. In addition to his work on the Emmy-nominated show, the 34-year-old, also worked as a preschool teacher. In a recent interview, he spoke candidly about the difficulties he faced living with dwarfism. “People sometimes don’t give me the value that I deserve, but I learned to ignore it and do what I can do to the best of my ability,” he said in January in a video released by the show. Family members, who say they’re touched by the outpouring and love and support following the tragic accident, are planning to host a memorial service in Santa Barbara. ------------------------------------------------------------- Welcome to TomoUSA, where we animate the most entertaining news from ‘MURRICA. World's fattest man slims down: surgeons remove 60 lbs of skin after weight loss - TomoNews

01:20
When referring to someone who used to weigh 980 pounds, a weight loss of 60 pounds might not sound all that impressive. But Paul Jonathan Mason of Ipswich, England just lost 60 pounds of pure skin. Mason, who has appeared on The View and TLC, underwent skin removal surgery several weeks ago. A team of five New York surgeons performed the operation. "The surgery results are… amazing," Mason wrote on his Facebook page following the procedure. Mason started packing on the pounds in his 20s after his father passed away, until he gained the title of world's fattest man. The change was so dramatic that in 2002, firefighters had to demolish the front of his house to get him to the hospital for a hernia operation, the Daily Mail reported. "If you see yourself in a mirror, you think you're looking at another person, not yourself," Mason told TLC at the peak of his weight gain. It took 10 years, but in 2010, the National Health Service finally approved gastric bypass surgery. He lost about 600 pounds, thanks to the surgery and a healthier lifestyle. But Mason plateaued because his excess skin was keeping him from losing any more fat. He needed a skin removal surgery "in order for him to gain his mobility, be able to exercise and lose more weight," according to his website. Now in the wake of his skin removal surgery, Paul is recovering and even taking walks with his fiancee Rebecca. "I'm so happy to be continuing my journey towards the life I want to live with Rebecca," Mason wrote on his Facebook page. ------------------------------------------------------------- Welcome to TomoUSA, where we animate the most entertaining news from ‘MURRICA. Boeing patents Defensive Force to deflect explosive shockwaves

01:15
Deflector shields seen in sci-fi movies such as Star Wars may soon be a reality as Boeing has been granted a patent for a shockwave attenuation system which uses an energy shield to protect objects from explosion shockwaves and shrapnel. The system generates a plasma shield using lasers, electricity and microwaves after detecting a nearby explosion. The system is designed to protect objects from the considerable damage that shockwaves and shrapnel can cause following an explosion. A small area is ionized, making the temperature, density and composition inside it different from its surroundings. The shockwaves are either then absorbed, reflected or deflected by the protective arc. The innovative technology has one shortcoming. Since the shield also absorbs light, everyone protected by the system would be completely blind when the system operates. The Defence Science and Technology Laboratory has also been working on a similar defense system. ------------------------------------------------------------- Welcome to TomoUSA, where we animate the most entertaining news from ‘MURRICA. A Port St. Lucie, Florida man was arrested after posting photos of himself handling drugs on Facebook, according to a New York Daily News report. Apparently thinking it'd be a good idea to show his FB buddies how easy it was to deal drugs right under the nose of Martin County authorities, Taylor Harrison reportedly pulled up alongside a deputy's vehicle and whipped out a stack of cash and some drugs and posed for a photo. Well, the Martin County Sheriff's Office gave the 20-year-old the publicity he seems to have been craving so badly by posting the photos onto their very own Facebook page. Along with a photo of him selling weed to undercover officers and, unsurprisingly, his eventual mugshot. ------------------------------------------------------------- Welcome to TomoUSA, where we animate the most entertaining news from 'MURRICA. Speeding car nearly kills 3 kids waiting for school bus - TomoNews

01:16
A driver of a white SUV nearly killed a group of kids in Washington state as they waited for their school bus on Friday morning. The driver reportedly weaved through traffic before nearly mowing down the kids. Washington state law requires drivers on either side of the road to stop for a school bus. The only time you are not required to stop for a school bus is if you're on the other side of a major road that has a median or physical barrier that separates the sides of the road. A US$1,000 reward has been offered for info on the driver of a white GMC Jimmy SUV with tinted windows and a sunroof. ------------------------------------------------------------- Welcome to TomoUSA, where we animate the most entertaining news from ‘MURRICA. Sikh boy records racist school bus bullies calling him ‘terrorist’ for wearing turban

00:57
A video recorded and first uploaded to YouTube by our new hero, a Sikh schoolboy named Harsukh Singh is going viral just a couple of days since it appeared. It shows Singh telling the viewer he’s being harassed by some kids (who appear to be some of his schoolmates, or who at least know his name). He occasionally responds to their taunts but appears confident that he’s got the better of them with this video. He knows something they don’t—they’re about to be shamed in front of the entire internet. The usual school bus clamour means it’s hard to hear the entire exchange, but it appears to go something like this: Harsukh Singh: “Kids being racist to me.” Girl: “[inaudible] Terrorist! Terrorist!” Girl: “Quit filming us, Harsukh.” ingh: “I can if you’re being racist to me, motherf**ker.” Girl: “Terrorist! Terrorist!” Girl: “inaudible] I never gave your (sic) permission. You’re going to court.” Another kid: “You’re going to court!” Yet another kid: “You’re going to court!” Girl (to Singh): “I’ll sue you!” Singh: “Who cares? I don’t care…” Off-screen adult (to group): “[inaudible] Stop being rude.” In the first instance of the video posted online, reportedly uploaded by the little champion himself, Singh provides this description: “kids being racist to me and calling me an afghani terrorist. please dont act like this towards people like me … if u dont know im not muslim im sikh.” Word, little brother. ------------------------------------------------------------- Welcome to TomoUSA, where we animate the most entertaining news from ‘MURRICA. Jada, 16, thought going to a house party last month would be harmless. Her friend knew the person throwing the party, so she tagged along. What was supposed to be a normal high school party, however, turned into her worst nightmare. The teen told Houston police she didn't know she had been raped until photos and tweets started popping up on social media. Classmates sharing images of the incident made it go viral. Jada told investigators she believes the host of the party gave her punch that was spiked. The teen says she has no recollection what took place next. All Jada knows is that she's angry and wants justice for that haunting night. Authorities are currently investigating her claims. ------------------------------------------------------------- Welcome to TomoUSA, where we animate the most entertaining news from 'MURRICA. Home invasion caught on camera: two knife-wielding intruders terrorize San Jose family - TomoNews

01:07
A California family is wondering if they'll ever be safe in their upscale home again after getting robbed twice, but this time by two knife-wielding intruders whom they luckily caught on camera. After the first robbery, Bani Kaur and Bikram Singh put six surveillance cameras around their San Jose home. Last Friday morning, these two intruders came in through the sliding glass doors and into the kitchen, arming themselves with the family's knives. The two adults saw the intruders coming upstairs to the second floor and fled into a bedroom with the child, San Jose police said. One suspect hears a noise coming from the master bedroom. He's seen trying to break down the door, as the owner's sister-in-law hides behind it. Even though the man breaks the door, the owner's sister-in-law and mother, who were babysitting the couple's one-year-old daughter, manage to call cops from the locked master bathroom. "We are still in shock. It was a terrible experience," Bikram Singh told KGO-TV News. The 17-year-old male later surrendered and is being held at Santa Clara County Juvenile Hall, the LA Times reports. Currently the other suspect is still on the loose. ------------------------------------------------------------- Welcome to TomoUSA, where we animate the most entertaining news from ‘MURRICA. Man falls into Yellowstone hot springs, body dissolves in fatal ‘hot pot’ calamity - TomoNews

01:24
MAMMOTH, WYOMING — A 23-year-old man who died in Yellowstone National Park last summer was reportedly trying to find a place to soak in the area’s natural hot springs. Portland, Oregon graduate Colin Scott was killed on June 7 when his body dissolved in the boiling acidic waters of a hot spring in the Norris Geyser basin. Yellowstone officials released the final incident report following a Freedom of Information Act request by NBC affiliate KULR. Scott’s sister Sable filmed the whole thing on her cellphone, according to the report, but the video has not been released to the public. An official said there are signs in the park that warn visitors not to fool around with its natural geothermal features. But the Scott siblings were allegedly trying to do just that, by looking for a place to take a dangerous dip, known as a “hot pot.” Sable Scott filmed on her cellphone as her brother checked the water temperature, only to slip and fall into the churning hot spring. Although rescue workers found Colin’s body, their efforts were disrupted by a lightning storm, and by the time they got back to the hot spring, the body had dissolved in the water. No citations were issued in connection with the incident. Hot spring-related injuries have claimed at least 22 lives in and around Yellowstone since 1890, the Washington Post reported, citing park officials. ------------------------------------------------------------- Welcome to TomoNews, where we animate the most entertaining news on the internets. Boy lives in Texas Walmart for two days: Runaway teen makes store his home

01:33
A 14-year-old boy constructed two secret compounds inside a 24-hour Walmart in Corsicana, Texas, where he lived undetected for two-and-a-half days. His sleeping quarters consisted of a makeshift bed built behind boxes of baby strollers. He stole food from the store, stored supplies behind a wall of baby wipes and paper towels and used diapers to avoid detection when going to the bathroom. A crack in the wall provided backside access to the juice aisle. He even scored a pet fish to keep him company. The natural master of disguise changed clothes every few hours to throw off anyone who might be tailing him. Eventually, Walmart staff followed a trail of trash leading to the boy’s hideout and busted the runaway teen. Employees called police, who delivered the boy into the custody of relatives. No criminal charges have been filed. According to Corsicana police, the boy ran away from his aunt’s home. His mother, who was out of town, told police the boy has a history of running away. ------------------------------------------------------------- Welcome to TomoUSA, where we animate the most entertaining news from ‘MURRICA. Real life Pet Pet Sematary: Zombie cat comes back to owner five days after being buried

01:28
Bart the cat is one lucky Florida feline. In a storyline straight out of the movie Pet Pet Sematary, Bart was dead and buried - literally. But miraculously he turned up alive and well a few days later after being put to rest. 24-month old Bart was trying to cross the street in Tampa, Florida, one day a couple of weeks ago when he was tragically hit by a passing car. Owner Ellis Hutson found a lifeless Bart in a pool of blood, and with serious injuries to the cat's head he and his neighbor did the decent thing and buried Bart at the side of the road. Little did they know that Bart was not actually dead. So using one of his fabled nine lives he clawed his way back into the world, giving Hutson the shock of his life five days later when a neighbor found the now zombie Bart nearby and brought him home. Bart is now in the care of the local Humane Society and is being nursed back to health - even though his injuries mean he is likely to lose one eye. ------------------------------------------------------------- Welcome to TomoUSA, where we animate the most entertaining news from ‘MURRICA. Woman shoots and kills home intruder, family says man was there to fight - TomoNews

01:06
COLUMBUS, OHIO — A home invasion ended in death when a woman who was at home shot the intruder on Monday morning. William Evans, 23, broke in through back door of the house around 10 a.m. His family claims he was there to fight the man who lived there to defend the honor of the mother of his 2-year-old child. Evans' mother, Ivy Curtis, is quoted by Dispatch as saying: "The guy that lived in the house was talking bad about her. He went over to fight, and they shot my son. Now he is dead." The woman who shot Evans several times called 911 to report the incident at 10:12 a.m. She was at home with an infant, and another man came home shortly after the shooting. She told police that said she had never seen Evans before and was acting in self-defense. There were two guns found in the house, only one of which the woman claimed was hers. "She claims one of them for sure. I can tell you the other one is likely the intruder's [gun]," Sergeant David Sicilian of the Columbus Police Department told WCMH-TV Columbus. Police are still looking for two men who were seen near the scene of crime in a gold or light-colored SUV. ------------------------------------------------------------- Welcome to TomoUSA, where we animate the most entertaining news from ‘MURRICA. Smartphone gun: Palm-sized pistol looks like a mobile phone when folded up - TomoNews

01:20
MONTICELLO, MINNESOTA — A Minnesota startup has come up with the latest innovation in concealable weapons — a gun that looks like your run-of-the-mill mobile phone. According to CNN Money, entrepreneur Kirk Kjellberg developed the Ideal Conceal gun as a way to carry a weapon without bothering other people. Unlike other easily concealed guns like the folding revolver or the Taurus Curve — a gun shaped like a box with rounded edges — its main draw is that it doesn't look like a gun when folded. A double barreled .380 caliber derringer, the Ideal Conceal is designed to resemble a smartphone. It transforms into a gun when the safety clicks open and releases the grip. The gun cannot be fired while in its locked position, making it safe to carry while clipped to the side or in a purse. The palm-sized pistol addresses the demand for easy-to-carry guns that can be accessed quickly for self-defense, according to the brand's website. Already, Kjellberg has received thousands of emails from people who want to buy the weapon. It will sell for $395 when it goes on the market later this year. Not everyone is sold on the idea, though. CNN Money reports that law enforcement officials are concerned about a weapon disguised as something else and hidden in plain sight. And depending on state and local laws, Ideal Conceal carriers may still be required to have a concealed carry permit. ------------------------------------------------------------- Welcome to TomoUSA, where we animate the most entertaining news from ‘MURRICA. Hero with baseball bat stops crazy father from beating 2-yr-old daughter - TomoNews

01:10
VANCOUVER, WASHINGTON — A toddler is in critical condition after her father threw her out an open hotel window and severely beat her at a Salmon Creek motel Tuesday night, according to court records. Kyle Stephen Holder, 32, of Vancouver appeared Wednesday morning in Clark County Superior Court on suspicion of attempted first-degree murder. Clark County Sheriff’s deputies responded to the Sunnyside Model on Highway 99 just before 9 p.m. Tuesday for a reported disturbance with a baseball bat. A good Samaritan who intervened in the attack on the 2-year-old girl used a bat to hit Holder, the sheriff’s office, said. According to a probable cause affidavit, the child and her mother, Barbara Keller, were sleeping in their room when Holder walked in, grabbed the girl, carried her to the open window and threw her out onto a concrete walkway. Holder then walked outside, picked up the girl and repeatedly threw her to the ground, the affidavit said. Another couple, who were staying in the next room, heard screaming and came outside, according to a report by the Columbian. Donald Gilbert said he saw Holder assaulting the child and confronted him, at which point Holder stopped attacking the girl, according to court documents. Gilbert told KGW news that he hit Holder about three or four times over the head with a baseball bat. According to deputies, Holder was “out-of-control.” They were forced to use a stun gun to subdue him, the sheriff’s office said. Officials said Gilbert will likely not be charged for the incident. ------------------------------------------------------------- Welcome to TomoNews, where we animate the most entertaining news on the internets. Shocking allergic reaction: Girl's skin peels off after bipolar disorder prescription drug use

01:48
A Georgia grad student was left almost blind and without the vast majority of her skin following a rare allergic reaction to a common drug used to treat seizures and mood disorders, according to a New York Daily News report. Back in 2013, Khaliah Shaw, 24, was diagnosed with bipolar disorder and prescribed a common seizure and mood disorder medication called Lamotrigine. Within a month of taking the medication, she developed a strange rash on her face and noticed her lips were always peeling off. Shaw initially went to the doctor and was told she had the flu. Two days later, she awoke to find her hair had fallen out, her nails had fallen off and that her skin was peeling right off. Doctors decided to put the 24-year-old into medically-induced coma to alleviate her pain and eventually diagnosed her with Steven-Johnson Syndrome. SJS is a rare disorder that starts off with flu-like symptoms and attacks the top layer of the skin, forming a rash that spreads and turns into blisters. It eventually makes the layers of the epidermis shed and fall. The disease is caused by toxins from a drug or an infection, which, if not treated, can even prove fatal. When Shaw awoke from her five week-long coma she was in shock that she had lost all of her hair and fingernails, and nearly 90 per cent of her skin had peeled away. The brave young woman has since undergone 13 month-long road to recovery, which has included seizure treatments and months spent at a burn center. ------------------------------------------------------------- Welcome to TomoUSA, where we animate the most entertaining news from ‘MURRICA. Walmart Spider-Man: Alabama shoplifter jumps out of ceiling to escape security officers

01:16
Dramatic video from last Friday shows a guy getting stopped by theft-prevention officers who suspected him of shoplifting from a Walmart in Mobile, Alabama. The alleged thief was not eager to cooperate, but staff finally dragged the dude into the store's security office and waited for cops to arrive. The alleged shoplifter tried to fight his way out of the office, kicking and yanking at the door, but staff penned him inside. reports say after some brief silence, loud bangs were heard and it soon became clear the guy had crawled up into the ceiling in a bid to escape. As Walmart staff tried to figure out where he was — boom — the guy kicked a hole through the ceiling and jumped down just feet away from the store's exit. The man then ran out of the store and made his getaway — he has not yet been caught. Following his dramatic escape, employees nicknamed him "Spider-Man" but we think it's safe to assume the "real" Spider-Man would be displeased to be compared to a guy who is accused of shoplifting a debit card, a hat, a watch and some underwear. ------------------------------------------------------------- Welcome to TomoUSA, where we animate the most entertaining news from ‘MURRICA. Alabama cop gets pistol-whipped by suspect and gets mocked online- TomoNews

01:26
BIRMINGHAM, ALABAMA — An Alabama police officer was pistol-whipped with his own gun on Friday — and then mocked by critics of law enforcement after photos of the incident were posted online. The plainclothes Birmingham detective, who has not been named, was investigating a series of burglary cases when he stopped a maroon GMC Yukon on Parkway East near Roebuck Plaza. The officer asked the driver to stay inside. As the officer was calling for backup, the driver got out of the vehicle and assaulted the officer. Police say the driver stole the cop's gun during the confrontation and pistol-whipped him with it before fleeing with his companion. Pictures of the wounded officer circulated on Facebook and Twitter after the incident. Some posts expressed support for the officer, while others mocked him. "Pistol pimped his face n um chillen now," Twitter user @TriggaMane666 posted with a picture of the wounded officer. Two suspects were arrested later that day. One of the suspects was identified as Janard Cunningham, a 34-year-old who has an extensive criminal history dating back to 1999 that includes breaking and entering, assault, and robbery. He was charged with attempted murder. Police expressed outrage. Birmingham police Sergeant Heath Boackle, president of the Fraternal Order of Police, told Al.com: "He was laying there lifeless and people were standing around taking pictures. If the tables were turned, and that was a suspect lying there, they would be rioting." ------------------------------------------------------------- Welcome to TomoUSA, where we animate the most entertaining news from ‘MURRICA. Rottweiler named Baron may receive reconstructive surgery on his nose - TomoNews

06:46
DETROIT — An adorable Rottweiler mix from Detroit, Michigan is recovering from a brutal attack that saw someone cut off his ears and nose. It’s unclear what exactly happened to the dog, named Baron, but the Michigan Humane Society says it looks like a dangerous human was involved. In a video posted to their official Facebook page, the society says Baron was found wandering in West Detroit last week when someone coaxed him into a local business. The society then picked him up and have been treating his injuries. They’re offering $35,000 reward for information leading to the arrest and conviction of the sicko or sickos involved. In addition to the damage on his ears and nose, there were injuries on the backs of his legs. The medical staff will soon have to amputate his tail because of the extent of damage inflicted on it, reported the Detroit Free Press. On a more positive note, specialists may be able perform reconstructive surgery on his nose. ------------------------------------------------------- For news that's fun and never boring, visit our channel: http://www.youtube.com/user/TomoNewsUS Subscribe to stay updated on all the top stories: https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCt-W... Shark attacks surfer: Woman tells tale of how she escaped jaws of great white shark - TomoNews

01:37
SAN DIEGO — Surfer Leeanne Ericson is lucky to be alive, after finding herself trapped between the jaws of the ocean's most feared predator. Now, she's telling her gruesome shark tale. Ericson and her boyfriend Dusty Phillips were surfing by San Onofre Beach near San Diego on April 29, when she was suddenly bumped off her surfboard. She initially thought she'd been hit by a seal, but a couple of ferocious bites to her behind and right leg let her know she was under attack by a shark with a thirst for blood. Within seconds, Ericson was pulled underwater. Phillips quickly dove in after her, but his girlfriend was at the mercy of a deadly great white shark. As the creature dragged her down, Ericson furiously fought back, punching and digging her fingers into its eye. She says it felt like "digging out a cup of Jell-O." The shark let Ericson go, and while she thinks her counter attack may have been enough, Phillips says the shark might have released its grip because it had scored enough flesh. The bite on Ericson's right buttocks went all the way down to her bone, and cost her so much blood she was immediately put under a medically-induced coma by doctors, the San Diego Union Tribune reported. Nine weeks and eight operations later, Ericson is learning how to walk again. In an interview with CBS News, she said her antibiotics alone have cost roughly $36,000, but a GoFundMe page to help pay her medical bills has racked up more than $124,000. Ericson has since found the courage to return to the ocean, but getting back on that surfboard will require many more months of psychological healing. ------------------------------------------------------------- Go to https://www.patreon.com/tomonews and become a Patron now TomoNews is now on Patreon and we've got some cool perks for our hardcore fans. Texas tower shooting: 50th anniversary of Charles Whitman mass shooting in Austin, Texas - TomoNews

09:02
AUSTIN, TEXAS — This Monday marks 50 years since sniper Charles Whitman opened fire from the University of Texas bell tower, killing 14 people and wounding 31 others. As the tower clock ticked towards noon on August 1, 1966, the 25-year-old student and former U.S, Marine Corps sharpshooter began a devastating onslaught that would bring more than 90 minutes of terror to the campus and catch the Austin Police Department completely off-guard. The massacre ended when police officers shot Whitman dead. Police found an arsenal of weapons in a storage chest next to Whitman, including three rifles, three pistols and a sawn-off shotgun. An autopsy revealed the shooter had a brain tumor, which may have impacted his ability to control his emotions. At the time, the massacre was the worst mass shooting in U.S. history — an unwelcome record that stood until 1984. Mass shootings have become a regular occurrence in the United States in the 50 years since the Texas tower shooting. Last year alone, there were 372 such incidents, of which 64 were on school campuses, according to the FBI. August 1 sees a “concealed campus carry” law come into effect, allowing license holders to carry concealed handguns on public university campuses in Texas. Fifty years on from Whitman’s deadly attack, the role of mental health in mass shootings remains an issue and the country appears unable to learn the lessons of its bloody past to provide a safe and secure environment for students. ------------------------------------------------------------- Welcome to TomoNews, where we animate the most entertaining news on the internets. Seaworld orca dies: Tilikum the Blackfish killer whale has died - TomoNews

09:31
ORLANDO — On January 6, the world’s most famous whale passed away. SeaWorld announced that Tilikum the orca whale has finally died due to complications from a bacterial lung infection he’d been fighting. Tilikum’s health had been in decline for a few months, but the suffering he endured lasted for more than three decades. In 1983, then 2-year-old Tilikum was captured off the coast of Iceland, ripped from his family and taken to a marine zoo. A year later, Tilikum was then transferred to Sealand of the Pacific, a former marine park in Canada’s British Columbia. Forced to learn tricks and perform for audiences regularly, it didn’t take long for Tilikum to become aggressive toward humans. In 1991, 20-year-old part-time trainer Keltie Byrne was working with Tilikum and two other whales when she slipped into the pool. As she struggled to get out of the pool, the whales reportedly prevented her from doing so. Tilikum supposedly carried the young girl’s dead body around on his back for the next two hours before staff were able to retrieve her. After Sealand of the Pacific closed down the next year, Tilikum was then transferred to Orlando, sold to SeaWorld for $1 million. There, too, he was kept in a small tank, built to hold only one-ten-thousandth of the water an orca would normally traverse over a day in the wild. Experts say these conditions can lead to psychosis for the whales, and it wasn’t long before Tilikum struck again. In 1999, a 27-year-old drifter named Daniel Dukes had somehow snuck into the park, and dove into a breeding tank with the whale. The next morning, Dukes’ body was found draped across Tilikum’s back, a familiar sight. His swimming trunks were found floating in the pool. The death was reported as a likely drowning, but that wouldn’t explain all the injuries Dukes suffered. His genitals had reportedly been bitten off. Tilikum’s murderous streak culminated in 2010, when SeaWorld trainer Dawn Brancheau was pulled down into the pool during a live performance. Brancheau’s death was the focus of the 2013 acclaimed documentary Blackfish, which exposed SeaWorld’s treatment of its orca whales and nearly sunk the company after an extreme public backlash. In response to the film, SeaWorld has since halted its captive breeding program, and announced it would be phasing out theatrical orca shows. In a statement last week, SeaWorld mourned the loss of Tilikum, and noted the “world-class care” provided to him, and that he “lived a long and enriching life while at SeaWorld.” ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Welcome to TomoNews, where we animate the most entertaining news on the internets. Man with gun: ex-cop stops stops man with knife in Salt Lake City, Utah

02:11
A man identified only as ‘Nick’ is being praised and condemned in equal measure for holding a man at gunpoint in Salt lake City last week. Nick, who Fox News 13 reported is a retired cop who now works as a security guard in was reportedly in his car, tailing a suspected shoplifter last week, when he observed a young man was holding a knife in the direction of another young man who was sitting on a bicycle. After Nick saw the knife-wielding man kick the bicycle and act in an aggressive manner, he pulled his car over and pulled out his handgun, forcing the man with the knife to the ground as he called the police. The other man on the bicycle fled the scene, and witnesses captured the incident in a video that’s gone viral. It turns out that the man Nick held at gunpoint was attempting to take back his bicycle from a thief who had stolen it earlier. Cops later arrested the bike thief, but he was the only person arrested. The man with the knife was not charged and declined to press charges against Nick. Cops said civilians should avoid getting involved in altercations, but Nick said he had the training and experience to handle the situation. Racist dad forbids daughter to attend black friend’s slumber party

01:06
A ten-year-old Tennessee girl invited friends to her slumber party and received a racist note in return. One of her friends gave the girl a hand-written letter that reads the following: “Maby [SIC] I will not be able to come to your birthday sleepover, because my dad will not let me go because you are black,” the unidentified child wrote in blue, green and pink. “Not trying to be races [SIC], but my mom let me go. Happy birthday!” The letter became public after TV station WREG showed the hand written message. In an interview, the birthday girl’s father said he does not blame the child’s parents. “It angered me a little bit, it hurt me for the simple fact that my ten-year-old girl had to deal with something I myself never thought I would have to deal with,” he said in an interview with the TV station. ------------------------------------------------------------- Welcome to TomoUSA, where we animate the most entertaining news from ‘MURRICA. Hindenburg crash: events leading to airship crash that killed 36 people in 1937 - TomoNews

07:07
LAKEHURST, NEW JERSEY — The downing of the Hindenburg airship in New Jersey on May 6, 1937 marked the beginning of the end of airship travel. LAKEHURST, NEW JERSEY — In the early 1900s, rigid airships, also known as dirigibles or zeppelins, were hailed as the transportation method of the future. The skies were dominated by airships, the most famous of which was the Hindenburg LZ 129. The Hindenburg was a 245-meter-long conventional zeppelin that had a maximum speed of 135 km per hour and a cruising speed of 126 km per hour. In 1936, the Hindenburg inaugurated commercial air service across the North Atlantic by carrying over 1,000 passengers on 10 scheduled round trips between Germany and the United States. On May 6, 1937, headwinds delayed the airship’s journey, and its scheduled arrival in Lakehurst, New Jersey at 6:00 a.m. was postponed to 6:00 p.m. In the meantime, the captain decided to take the passengers on a scenic tour. By noon, the ship had reached Boston, and by 3:00 p.m. the Hindenburg was sailing past the skyscrapers of Manhattan. Reports said the large vessel flying past the city created such a sight that people ran out into the streets to see it. When the aircraft was finally cleared to land, it returned to Lakehurst, approaching the field shortly after 7:00 p.m. at an altitude of approximately 600 feet. The captain initiated a wide left turn to fly in a descending pattern around the north and west of the field, to line up for a landing into the wind to the east. During the landing, hydrogen was valved and three drops of water ballast were ordered in an attempt to keep the ship in level trim. When these efforts failed to level the vessel, six crewmen were ordered to go forward in the ship to add their weight to the bow. The vessel was set to make a high-altitude landing, which meant dropping an anchor from a greater height than it normally would be. This required fewer ground crew members, but the process would take longer. In an attempt to land quickly, the captain reportedly executed a tight S-turn to change the direction of the ship’s landing. This was when things went wrong. Some experts later theorized that this sharp turn overstressed the ship, causing a bracing wire to snap and slash a gas cell. This allowed hydrogen to mix with air to form a highly explosive combination. Witnesses claimed they saw a flutter on top of the airship, which indicated gas leaking from the vessel. A fire soon broke out, although accounts of where it started varied. The flames reportedly quickly burned through the logo on the side of the ship before consuming the rest of the vessel. In the end, 36 people died, but a remarkable number of people survived. Faith in the industry plummeted following the Hindenburg disaster. The event was captured in numerous photographs and in footage, which was broadcast across the globe. The airship industry never recovered. However, dirigibles were losing public favor even prior to the Hindenburg’s downing. Three months before Hindenburg first took flight, Pan American Airways’ M-130 China Clipper made its first scheduled flight across the Pacific. Between the high cost of infrastructure and crew, safety issues, and competition with better technology, passenger airships may have been on their way out even before the Hindenburg disaster took place. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Go to https://www.patreon.com/tomonews and become a Patron now TomoNews is now on Patreon and we've got some cool perks for our hardcore fans. Man wakes up with no teeth in dentist's chair after being told only four would be removed - TomoNews

01:23
COLUMBUS, INDIANA — Donny Grigsby went into the dentist's office for a routine procedure, or, so he thought. At White River Dental in Columbus, Indiana, he was told four of his teeth needed to be removed. He went under anesthesia thinking he'd wake up in a few hours with a few less teeth, but with better oral health. Grigsby's wife, Amanda, spent five-and-a-half hours in the waiting room, when she decided to investigate. She found her husband in the room, droopy-eyed with blood all over his shirt. The dentist had removed all of his teeth. When she asked why, the dentist claimed it was done to prevent the spread of infection from one of Donny's abscessed teeth. Donny Grigsby was rushed to a hospital after the procedure, and had to be put in a medically-induced coma. Ever since, he's been hooked up to an oxygen tank, due to a blood clot. White River Dental is calling the allegations false, and may seek compensation for defamation. ------------------------------------------------------------- Welcome to TomoUSA, where we animate the most entertaining news from ‘MURRICA. Cannibal attack: Flakka-fuelled ‘zombie’ frat boy eats Florida man's face - TomoNews

01:47
TEQUESTA, FLORIDA — Police that were called to a residential home in Florida on Monday, Aug. 15, arrived to find a 19-year-old man biting the face off of one of his victims. According to a report released on Wednesday, Florida State University student Austin Harrouff was eating dinner at Duffy’s, a local sports pub, with his parents when he became angry about the slow service and stormed out. Harrouff wandered down the block in an affluent Tequesta neighborhood before encountering Michelle Mishcon Stevens, 53, and her husband, John Stevens, 59, who often sat inside their open garage to enjoy the night air. Harrouff then viciously stabbed the couple in what neighbors said was an unprovoked attack. A neighbor called 911 and rushed to the couple’s aid, but was stabbed as well. That’s when Harrouff completely began eating John’s face. When officers arrived on the scene, they fired their stun guns at Harrouff, to no avail. Officers then deployed a police dog. Eventually, it took four officers to finally pry Harrouff off his victim. The Stevens were pronounced dead, while the neighbor and Harrouff were both taken to the hospital. Martin County Sheriff William Snyder is now receiving criticism for saying Harrouff was a “good kid,” as he had no criminal history. Police have not released details of Harrouff’s toxicology report, but they said they “wouldn’t be surprised” if he was under the influence of Flakka, a synthetic drug linked to many cases of bizarre behavior. ------------------------------------------------------------- Welcome to TomoNews, where we animate the most entertaining news on the internets. Everyday Heroes: Brave woman throws herself in front of car to save child’s life - TomoNews

09:51
BRIDGEPORT, CONNECTICUT — A woman who put her life on the line to save a child from almost certain death is being hailed a hero. Shanta Jordan threw herself in front of a speeding car to stop the little boy from getting pulverized, just seconds before the vehicle ploughed into a restaurant. Surveillance footage captured a scene of carnage in Bridgeport, Connecticut last Wednesday as the out-of-control car hurtled toward pedestrians at high speed. The video shows the quick-thinking Jordan jumping in front of the kid and risking her own life to save his. Jordan, the boy, and a second child were all injured in the incident and rushed to the hospital, News 12 Connecticut reported. Police said Jordan’s body took a lot of the impact from the crash and most likely saved the boy’s life. The boy sustained serious injuries and doctors initially feared that his legs would have to be amputated. Thankfully though, after hours in the operating theater, they managed to save them. Allen Pearson, 37, the driver of the car, was also injured. He’s been charged with reckless driving, failure to stop and having no insurance on the car, which also wasn’t registered. Police said there were no skid marks on the street next to the accident, so it’s likely the driver didn’t even hit the brakes. Jordan didn’t even know the little boy. A special tribute will be held in her honor at Bridgeport City Hall next week. ------------------------------------------------------------- Go to https://www.patreon.com/tomonews and become a Patron now TomoNews is now on Patreon and we've got some cool perks for our hardcore fans. Miracle: How baby girl survived for 14 hours after car crashed into Utah's Spanish Fork River

01:36
A toddler was suspended above icy water for 14 hours after a car careened into Utah's Spanish Fork River last Friday night. Her mother, Lynn Jennifer Groesbeck, was killed in the accident. The rear portion of the vehicle was high enough out of the water that Groesbeck's 18-month-old toddler stayed dry after their car plunged into a Utah river at 10:30 p.m. last Friday night. As icy water flowed through the car's open windows, the child remained strapped to her child safety seat. A toddler's organs are healthier than an adult's, and young children are able to better withstand trauma as a result. Haitham Haddad, interim division chief of pediatric emergency medicine at University Hospitals Rainbow Babies & Children's Hospital in Ohio, told Good Morning America that the toddler's body probably prioritized blood flow to her brain, heart and other organs crucial for survival. The extreme cold could have also caused the toddler's heart rate to decrease, forcing her into a state similar to hibernation until a fisherman caught site of the vehicle around noon the next day. The water in the river was so cold last weekend that seven emergency responders had to be treated for hypothermia after rescuing the toddler. Spanish Fork Police Lieutenant Matt Johnson told the Washington Post it's a miracle the child was able to survive. ------------------------------------------------------------- Welcome to TomoUSA, where we animate the most entertaining news from ‘MURRICA. Attempted robbery fail: Gun store owner fights back, kills robber in self defense - TomoNews

05:42
MABLETON, GEORGIA — An armed robber was shot dead and his accomplice is on the run after a failed hold-up at a gun store in Georgia. Security camera footage of the fatal Dec. 26 incident was released this week. It shows gun store owner Jimmy Groover, 64, moving faster than green grass through a goose to defend his property and his life. Two unidentified armed men burst into the store in broad daylight, pointed their pistols, and threatened to kill the owner and his assistant if they didn’t get down on the floor, NBC affiliate WXIA reported. But they didn’t count on old Jimmy Groover being armed and ready. In the blink of an eye, the gun store owner fired at the first robber, shooting him dead. The other suspect skedaddled and he’s now wanted by the police. Groover said he felt bad about killing the guy but knew he had little choice after the robbers made threats to kill. Groover’s store has been robbed around 20 times over the years but this is the first time he’s ever shot one of the bandits. Detectives said it was unlikely the grandfather would be charged with any crime because he acted in self-defense.

Zoo animals attack: Toddler falls into jaguar pit at Little Rock, Arkansas zoo

01:16
The tragic accident happened Friday around 10:45 a.m. at the Little Rock Zoo in Arkansas.A three-year-old boy was injured when he fell from the railing above the jaguar pit. According to the police report, the boy’s grandfather placed the toddler on the railing to view the two jaguars. His father Andrew Garber was taking pictures of the cats when he says he saw the boy fall in his peripheral view. The boy fell 4-and-a-half meters, or about 15 feet, into the jaguar pit. Witnesses told THV11 they saw one jaguar biting child’s neck and the other biting the boy’s foot. The grandfather scared off one jaguar by throwing watering hose spool at it. The father then threw a camera bag at the other cat. A zoo employee eventually retrieved the boy from the pit while another employee distracted the jaguar with a fire extinguisher. The toddler suffered a fractured skull, scalp lacerations and minor puncture wounds both during the fall and animal attack. Doctors at Arkansas Children's Hospital say the boy’s injuries are not life-threatening. ------------------------------------------------------------- Welcome to TomoUSA, where we animate the most entertaining news from ‘MURRICA.
