Angel Shark Hiding in the Sand
Angel sharks are one of the weirdest marine animals. They hides themselves in sand on the ocean floor. They wait for prey to come. Whenever, a fish or a lobster comes near it, the shark suddenly jumps out from the sand to catch the prey. Angle sharks belong to the shark family named "Squatinidae". Some people call them monkfish. The shark has a flat body. It resembles a ray. The flat body helps it hide itself in the sandy sea floor. The shark generally try to avoid humans - as you can see in the video. But it is not advisable to touch it, it is actually a shark. A bite can be painful and bloody. It has a strong jaw with sharp teeth. Subscribe to our channel : https://www.youtube.com/c/AllFiveOceans?sub_confirmation=1 Learn more about Greenland sharks http://www.allfiveoceans.com/2016/06/greenland-shark.html What is a Greenland shark? It is a big slow shark that lives in cold, deep, dark oceans. The shark's name suggest that it is common near Greenland. Yes., it has chooses the icy cold subarctic waters of North Atlantic near and around the frozen island of Greenland as its principle abode. But the shark can also be found other areas like Icealnd, Norway and Canada. Some come south to St. Lawrence estuary. For anyone who wants to know the scientific name of the animal: Somniosus microcephalus. It is closely related to sleeper sharks. The most notable feature of a Greenland shark is its size. It is one of the largest species of sharks in the wold today. It can be more than 7 m or 21 ft in length with body weight more than 1400 kg or 3100 lb ! Another striking feature of this mega shark is its very long lifespan. It can live more than 200 years. The growth of the animal is way too slow. May be that is why they live so long, who knows? Almost 1/3rd of its body weight is due to its large liver. The liver is filled with oil. The oil keeps the shark warm in cold waters. It also keeps its mammoth body buoyant. Big carnivore whales like the orca and sperm whales often haunts the shark for that oil. A Greenland shark is slow but deadly predator. Due to their slow swimming speed they depend upon ambushing for catching prey. They are known to eat even polar beers and reindeer. The video's credit go to www.liveleak.com

Most common of these names are grey nurse shark, spotted ragged-tooth shark, and blue-nurse sand tiger. So, I think it is better to identify it with the scientific name Carcharias taurus. Despite of its name it is not at all related to the tiger sharks. It is also have no relationship with nurse sharks. Actually, sand tiger sharks are close to the great white. Some of these sharks can be as big as 10 ft. They feed on fishes, crabs, lobsters, squids and octopuses. They are very popular in large marine aquariums all over the world. How do Jellyfish Move ?
Jellyfish Movement - Subscribe to our channel https://www.youtube.com/c/AllFiveOceans?sub_confirmation=1 Jellyfish moves with a simple jet propulsion system. It contracts its bell to create pressure in the water below. That pressure force propels it forward. The system is noted for its high efficiency. Scientists are thinking of mimicking the jellyfish locomotion of locomotion in their small oceanic drones. Comb jellies are known for their unique way of swimming. They use tiny cilia for that purpose. See them in the video. Jellyfish is actually a big zoo-plankton. Like other plankton they are drifted by the currents of the ocean. Currents take them from one place to another place. Their locomotion is too weak to go against the currents. Ocean currents often aggregate a large number of jellyfishes near the shore. Such a congregation is known as a "bloom". Leafy Seadragon is endemic to southern western coastal waters of Australia. They are the emblems of the state of South Australia. Leafy Seadragons grow lager than most other members of the sea horse family. They can be 8 to 10 inches in length. They live in kelp forests and sea weeds. Leaf like outgrowths in their body help them to hide themselves in their. They use their long horse like snout to suck flush out of small shrimps, plankton and fish larva. The female Leafy Seadragon lays about 250 eggs at a time. Like other members of the family, the eggs were glued with the tail of the male. The eggs hatched after 9 weeks. At that time,it seems that the male is giving birth of live babies (which is not the actual case). The unusual body shape is helpful for hiding but not that effective in fleeing. The Leefy Seadragon can't move quickly due to its body structure. So, if spotted by the predators, they are unable to flee to safety. Due to is attractive and unusual shape, Leefy Seadragons are popular in the marine aquarium enthusiasts. These creatures are unique creations of nature. The unlucky crab was found by the scavenging eel. The moray eel was searching for food. It was slithering in the nooks and corners of some coral. The crab was very fast. It was successful at first to flee. But later the eel spotted it again. The eel was also too fast. The eel is a fish which looks somewhat like a snake. There are about 800 species of eels living in the oceans, lakes and rivers. Look at the ribbon like fin along its body - it is the result of joined dorsal, anal and caudal fin. The eels are active predators and feed on crabs, shrimps, lobsters, octopuses, and smaller fishes. Crabs are decapod crustaceans. The pair of front foots have converted into claws.
