इसरो शुरू किया अपना GPS,पाक चीन को झटका/ ISRO initial Satellite based Navigation Services in India

02:03
The Indian Space Research Organization (ISRO) and Airports Authority of India (AAI) have implemented the GPS Aided Geo Augmented Navigation-GAGAN project as a Satellite Based Augmentation System (SBAS) for the Indian Airspace. The objective of GAGAN to establish, deploy and certify satellite based augmentation system for safety-of-life civil aviation applications in India has been successfully completed. The system is inter-operable with other international SBAS systems like US-WAAS, European EGNOS, and Japanese MSAS etc. GAGAN GEO footprint extends from Africa to Australia and has expansion capability for seamless navigation services across the region. GAGAN provides the additional accuracy, availability, and integrity necessary for all phases of flight, from enroute through approach for all qualified airports within the GAGAN service volume. GAGAN Payload is already operational through GSAT-8 and GSAT-10 satellites. The third GAGAN payload will be carried onboard GSAT-15 satellite which is scheduled for launch this year. Initially, Director General of Civil Aviation (DGCA) certified GAGAN for enroute operations (RNP 0.1) on December 30, 2013 and subsequently on April 21, 2015 for precision approach services (APV 1). APV1 Certified GAGAN signals are being broadcast with effect from May 19, 2015. GAGAN is the first SBAS system in the world to serve the equatorial region. GAGAN ionospheric algorithm known as ISRO GIVE Model-Multi-Layer Data Fusion (IGM-MLDF) was developed by ISRO and is operational in the implemented GAGAN System. India has become the third country in the world to have such precision approach capabilities. GAGAN though primarily meant for aviation, will provide benefits beyond aviation to many other user segments such as intelligent transportation, maritime, highways, railways, surveying, geodesy, security agencies, telecom industry, personal users of position location applications etc. IRNSS, the Indian Regional Navigation Satellite System, is an ISRO initiative to design and develop an independent satellite-based navigation system to provide positioning, navigation and timing services for users over Indian region. The system is designed with a constellation of 7 spacecraft and a vast network of ground systems operating. The first three satellites (IRNSS-1A, 1B &1C) were launched in 2013-14. IRNSS-1D, the fourth satellite of IRNSS constellation was successfully launched on March 28, 2015 on board PSLV-C27. The initial tests of the spacecraft have been successfully completed and it has joined the family of IRNSS space segment. With the addition of fourth spacecraft the minimum satellite requirement is met and independent position solution is demonstrated for the first time using an Indian satellite-based navigation system. The unique Geostationary Earth Orbit (GEO) /Geo Synchronous Orbit (GSO) constellation design provides a position accuracy of better than 15 metre for longer duration of 20 hours in a day even with 4 satellites. ISRO has released the ‘IRNSS Signal-in-Space interface control document for Standard Positioning Service ver 1.0’, the document that comprehensively provides all the information required by user receiver manufacturers. The document is available for download at http://irnss.isro.gov.in. While GAGAN will redefine navigation over Indian Airspace, IRNSS will provide independent and self reliant satellite based navigation services over Indian region. #ttnnews #news please subscribe for more latest updates.. ISRO चांद से लाएगा हीलियम, 250 सालों तक ऊर्जा / ISRO find a trillion-dollar nuclear fuel on the Moon

03:17
India’s intention of mining the moon for helium-3 was in fact first reported early last year, following comments by Sivathanu Pillai, a professor at the Indian Space Research Organization (ISRO,) India’s equivalent to NASA. Those reports were initially scotched due to a supposed misquotation of Pillai, but the space agency is now clearly pursuing that goal. “The countries which have the capacity to bring that source from the moon to Earth will dictate the process,” ISRO chair K. Sivan told Bloomberg. This will be India’s first mission to the moon, and the ISRO hopes to establish a space station and, ultimately, a moon base. The Trump administration also wants to send U.S. astronauts back to the moon. Russia plans to send a lander to the moon next year, and the Indian and Japanese space agencies are cooperating on their own lunar efforts, largely because they’re worried about the Chinese getting too far ahead. Private enterprise is also involved in the new space race, with Jeff Bezos’s Blue Origin company intending to build a moon colony. India's space program wants to go where no nation has gone before -– to the south side of the moon. And once it gets there, it will study the potential for mining a source of waste-free nuclear energy that could be worth trillions of dollars. The nation's equivalent of NASA will launch a rover in October to explore virgin territory on the lunar surface and analyze crust samples for signs of water and helium-3. That isotope is limited on Earth yet so abundant on the moon that it theoretically could meet global energy demands for 250 years if harnessed. "The countries which have the capacity to bring that source from the moon to Earth will dictate the process," said K Sivan, chairman of the Indian Space Research Organisation. "I don't want to be just a part of them, I want to lead them." The mission would solidify India's place among the fleet of explorers racing to the moon, Mars and beyond for scientific, commercial or military gains. The governments of the US, China, India, Japan and Russia are competing with startups and billionaires Elon Musk, Jeff Bezos and Richard Branson to launch satellites, robotic landers, astronauts and tourists into the cosmos. The rover landing is one step in an envisioned series for Isro that includes putting a space station in orbit and, potentially, an Indian crew on the moon. The government has yet to set a timeframe. "We are ready and waiting," said Sivan, an aeronautics engineer who joined Isro in 1982. "We've equipped ourselves to take on this particular program." China is the only country to put a lander and rover on the moon this century with its Chang'e 3 mission in 2013. The nation plans to return later this year by sending a probe to the unexplored far side. In the US, President Donald Trump signed a directive calling for astronauts to return to the moon, and NASA's proposed $19 billion budget this fiscal year calls for launching a lunar orbiter by the early 2020s. Isro's estimated budget is less than a 10th of that – about $1.7 billion – but accomplishing feats on the cheap has been a hallmark of the agency since the 1960s. The upcoming mission will cost about $125 million – or less than a quarter of Snap Inc co-founder Evan Spiegel's compensation last year, the highest for an executive of a publicly traded company, according to the Bloomberg Pay Index. भारतीय को अंतरिक्ष भेजने का इसरो का परीक्षण सफल/ ISRO tests crew escape for space mission

02:39
India’s space agency tested on Thursday a crew escape system (CES), a capsule for a human spaceflight mission that ejects from a rocket if it explodes on the launch pad. The CES is a series of technology building blocks that the Indian Space Research Organisation (Isro) is developing for an eventual mission to carry astronauts or vyomanauts to space. It also is a crucial emergency escape measure designed to quickly pull the spacecraft that houses the astronauts to a safe distance from the launch vehicle in the event of a rocket explosion. In 1986, a US space shuttle Challenger tore apart within 73 seconds of launch, killing seven US astronauts. Isro has so far built a capsule that can re-enter from space, space suits, food for astronauts in collaboration with Defence Research and Development Organisation, and is working on an astronaut-training facility on the outskirts of Bengaluru. It is also roping in Indian Air Force pilots to identify the first set of astronauts for India. However, the agency also needs to build the right environmental control facilities that can house three astronauts in the capsule. So far, the government, which has granted ₹145 crore to do initial studies for a manned mission to space, is yet to approve the project that could potentially cost over $ 2 billion. “This is a developmental activity that eventually will be used for a human spaceflight,” said AS Kiran Kumar, former chairman of Isro. He said a human space flight is an expensive proposition and lots of space faring activities could be done through robotic missions or unmanned flights. Isro has already tested a scaleddown version of its reusable launch vehicles and is working on a larger unmanned shuttle that would be hurled on a rocket to space, completing its mission in delivering spacecraft and land like an aircraft in Sriharikota. This, it calls a ‘Twostage-to-orbit’ - a concept that it expects to bring down the cost of access to space. India has been working on human space flight for over a decade, but it still does not have a rocket powerful enough to carry astronauts into space. Isro is operationalising its geosynchronous satellite launch vehicle Mk-3 (GSLV-MK-3) later this year. This rocket could potentially carry around eight tonnes spacecraft to lower earth orbit. However, it has to be human rated or make it so safe that the possiblity of error could be one in a million. “Even the GSLV-Mk3 would also be smaller. We need a heavier rocket so that the manned mission,” said an Isro official. Isro said that crew module reached an altitude of nearly 2.7 km after it was ejected from the rocket on Thursday. Nearly 300 sensors recorded various mission performance parameters during the test flight. Three recovery boats are being exercised to retrieve the module as part of the recovery protocol. #ttnnews #news please subscribe for more latest updates.. भारत को बनाना चाहिए अपना खुद का विमान, पूर्व इसरो चीफ | India should build its own aircraft Ex-ISRO

02:30
A growing large economy like India with huge domestic market should build aircraft indigenously and make sure that it does not depend on international entities alone to meet its needs, says an eminent scientist. The former Chairman of Indian Space Research Organisation A S Kiran Kumar said India is now poised for a significant growth in the aircraft industry. The President-elect of Aeronautical Society of India said many of the Indian industries and private enterprises actually contribute to the global aircraft industry and provide some key components because of the "advantages" they have. These industries and enterprises are establishing newer capabilities within the country. "In the coming days and years, there is a tremendous opportunity, we need to build on the capabilities of the country," Kiran Kumar told . Companies globally are realising there is a tremendous potential in India to make cost-effective components and sub-systems, and "gradually things are moving in this direction," according to him. More and more entrepreneurs, Kiran Kumar said, are gradually trying to pitch in and capture the market. allowance is made for "fair use" for purposes news reporting, teaching, scholarship, and research. ईरान ने भारत को कहा उठाएंगे हरसंभव कदम / Iran Assures India On Oil Supply

03:08
Iran today said it will do its best to ensure security of oil supply to India, asserting that it has been a reliable energy partner for New Delhi. The clarification by Iranian Embassy came a day after Iran's Deputy Ambassador and Charge d'Affaires Massoud Rezvanian Rahaghi cautioned New Delhi that it will stand to lose "special privileges" if it cuts import of Iranian oil following US sanctions. It said Iran understands the difficulties being faced by New Delhi in dealing with the unstable energy market and that it was for India to choose its energy partners, taking into account various factors like geopolitical considerations and reliability of the oil suppliers. The embassy said Iran will do its best to ensure security of oil supply to India by offering various flexible measures which facilitate bilateral trade, particularly Indian exports to Iran. In an address at a seminar yesterday, Rahaghi said Iran will end the privileges being provided to India if it tries to source oil from countries like Saudi Arabia, Russia, Iraq, the US and others to offset cuts in Iranian oil import. The Trump administration brought back sanctions against Iran after pulling out the US from the Iran nuclear deal in May. The US has told India and other countries to cut oil imports from the Gulf nation to "zero" by November 4 or face sanctions. India is yet to take a call on complying with the US sanctions on Iran. "Iran has always been a reliable energy partner for India and others, seeking a balanced oil market and rational prices of oil which ensure the interests of both countries as consumer and supplier," the embassy said in a statement. Mr Rahaghi had also criticised India for not fulfilling its promise of making investments in the expansion of the strategically located Chabahar port On Chabahar, the embassy said Iran has always welcomed Indian initiatives in the project. "However, due to the importance of the issue, Iran has frequently emphasised on expediting Indian investment, and pushing Indian partner companies to accelerate their engagement in execution of the projects," it said. 11 COMMENTS The embassy said Iran and India share the same understanding towards many global and regional challenges and cooperate harmoniously in many international fronts. #ttnnews #news please subscribe for more latest updates.. चीन के कर्ज से बना एयरपोर्ट भारत को मिला जिम्मा /Sri Lanka give India control of loss making airport

02:33
Sri Lanka on Thursday said India will operate the Mattala Rajapaksa International Airport in Hambantota as part of a joint venture that gives New Delhi a majority stake in the deal. Sri Lanka’s Civil Aviation Minister Nimal Siripala de Silva told Parliament that the agreement’s details have not been chalked out yet. The airport, estimated to be worth $210 million (Rs 447 crore), has been dubbed the world’s emptiest airport and is running up heavy losses. “We need to revive this dying airport which caused a massive loss of LKR 20 billion [Rs 866 crore],” Silva said. Opposition legislator Kanaka Herath asked the government if it was trying to appease India and China by giving them control of the country’s ports and airports. Sri Lanka handed over control of the Hambantota seaport to China on a 99-year lease in December in a bid to offset its loans. Silva refuted Herath’s allegation and said the government had invited proposals from international investors in 2016. “Only India offered to help us,” he added. The Mattala airport, named after former President Mahinda Rajapaksa, was funded using high-interest commercial loans from China. The airport began operations in 2013, and the only international flight operating from the facility was terminated in May because of major losses. Prime Minister Ranil Wickremesinghe also refuted a New York Times report that claimed the government was forced to handover the Hambantota Port to China as it was struggling to pay debts incurred by the previous regime, #ttnnews #news please subscribe for more latest updates.. टेल हुक के साथ तेजस का फ्लाइट टेस्ट किया / HAL conducted NAVAL TEJAS test with TAIL HOOK

02:02
The tail hooks on F-18, EA-18, French Rafale, and the new F-35C in modern times is just essentially used to grab the wire at the beginning of the deck to an aircraft carrier that goes under a lot of steer to reduce the speed and secure the plane. However, it is interesting to note that some land base aircraft also have tail hooks for emergency landings at military airfields that are equipped with emergency arrestors. Finally, the home-grown Naval Light Combat Aircraft (NLCA) project announced its arrival on the big stage. As per reports in the media, the naval variant of India’s Tejas Light Combat Aircraft (LCA) has conducted its maiden flight with tail hook attached. The successful completion of the maiden flight with tail hook itself is a huge boost to the entire ADA team. The second prototype of the Naval Tejas, NP-2 (KH3002), made the flight from Indian naval air station, INS Hansa, located near Dabolim in Goa. The next phase of the program will be to conduct arrested landings at the Shore Based Test Facility (SBTF) located at INS Hansa. SBTF was earlier used to train and certify Indian Navy Mikoyan MiG-29K fighter pilots for the aircraft carrier INS Vikramaditya, and is now used for the developmental trials of the naval HAL Tejas. This new development possibly denotes the restart of the Naval LCA program. In December 2016, the Indian Navy announced that the Tejas fighter is overweight, and they will look for other alternatives. The Indian Navy eventually issued an RFI for 57 naval multi-role fighters. The LCA Navy is India’s first indigenous effort to build a carrier borne fighter aircraft. The naval variant has strengthened airframe and landing gear and a drooped nose for better cockpit vision during taking-offs and landings. Naval Tejas prototypes, NP1 & NP2 are powered by General Electric F404-GE-F2J3 afterburning turbofan engines and are used for initial testing purposes. They successfully completed testing in Goa during which the short take off (200 meter) from SBTF were carried out along with hot refuelling. The combat aircraft prototype is yet to conduct its flight test from an aircraft carrier. The testing from aircraft carrier will most probably only done after conducting arrested landing trials at the SBTF. #ttnnews #news please subscribe for more latest updates.. चीन अर्थव्यवस्था पर संकट, कई कंपनियां दिवालिया/ US-China trade war making chines company shut

02:32
The tit-for-tat exchange of tariffs between the United States and China gives the impression the world’s two biggest economies are headed down the road towards a trade war, which would have hugely damaging economic consequences. But this could be averted if they continue quiet backroom discussions to open up their markets, particularly China’s. Trump plays down US-China trade war concerns: ‘When you’re $500bn down you can’t lose’ Read more The US imposition of tariffs on a range of Chinese imports – which amounts to a tax on imported goods – is the first step in a series of measures announced by the Trump administration. So far, China has responded by announcing tariffs on US imports. The next stage would be for the US to restrict Chinese investment into America. Presumably, if this happens, then China would respond in kind. In other words, the tensions between the US and China could go beyond taxes and directly disrupt global supply chains as investment is targeted. Any disruption to supply and distribution chains, which are a key part of world trade, could have a lasting impact. In the worst-case scenario, companies may have to relocate factories or distribution centres. Investment decisions affect employment and taxes raised, and are in some ways more disruptive than tariffs, which can be reversed more easily. This escalation would be damaging for the US and Chinese economies since global companies, such as Apple, invest in both countries. This would affect not only US businesses but also American consumers. Retailers such as Walmart import goods from China, so prices would go up and living standards would be squeezed. And since US goods are sold worldwide, if they are reliant on parts from China, consumers here in the UK and in the rest of the world would also be affected. The same applies to Chinese consumers and producers, particularly since about half of Chinese exports are made by enterprises with foreign investors. Markets rally as White House plays down trade war fears — as it happened Read more The US is targeting hi-tech manufacturers to disrupt President Xi’s flagship industrial strategy, the Made in China 2025 plan, which seeks to make Chinese manufacturing globally competitive by introducing more artificial intelligence and automation. The ability of emerging economies such as China to “catch up” with rich economies depends on their being able to access and adapt the best technology in the world. This lies at the heart of the problem. The US has launched these trade measures in retaliation for China’s poor record on intellectual property rights protection, which includes requiring foreign companies to transfer their technology as a condition of investing in China. #ttnnews #news please subscribe for more latest updates.. मालदीव के राष्ट्रपति यामीन को अमेरिका की धमकी, गद्दी छोड़ दो / US to Yameen hand power to Sohile

02:51
President Abdullah Yamin, who is believed to be China supported president, is not easily seen in the mood of quitting the throne. Leaving all the projections in the recent elections, the opposition candidate Ibrahim Mohammad Solih had won a huge victory. In November, Solih has to take the oath of office, but Yemen has reached the Supreme Court against these election results. His party mandate has challenged in the court. Yameen is considered to be loyal to China. Now Yemen has received a US warning. From the Maldives elections, the Hindustan America had again shown the way to strengthen its relations with this nation. In South Central Asia, US Deputy Foreign Secretary Alice Wells has clearly indicated to Yamin that she handed power to Solihih in no way interrupted. Wells said this after meeting Solihah. Twitter spokeswoman Robert Palladino said, "Whatever happens in the transit of power in the Maldives, we will take steps against it." He said, Abdullah Yameen is working against the mandate of people of the Maldives. If they do anything illegal, then we will take action against them. Maldives's Exemption Targets America on Shunya China It is believed that this way America has indicated China has excused from the Maldives. Actually, Abdullah Yamin is considered to be China's supporter. During his regime, China's intervention in the Maldives was greatly increased. Due to this, the relationship of the Maldives to the United States of America has also become useless In such a situation, when Yameen was defeated and Solihah's victory, then the United States has shown the eyes to China along with the Maldives. Let us know that in the elections held last month, the people of Maldives won the place of Yameen in Solihih in the presidential election. Election Commission has also stamped their victory. But Yemen is not making any sense to leave the power. Now the United States has given them a clear threat. The US says that the recent actions of Yemen have indicated that they do not want to leave the throne. He has taken the election result to the Supreme Court. Palladium said that whatever would be a hindrance in the democratic process, the United States will take strong action against it. visit - WWW.TTNNEWS.IN please subscribe for more latest updates.. जहा नही गया कोई वह पहुचे PM मोदी / PM Modi's visited to Rwanda first visit

02:31
Prime Minister Narendra Modi today arrived in Rwanda on the first leg of his three-nation Africa tour, becoming the first Indian premier to visit the East African country. The Prime Minister’s aircraft landed at the Kigali International Airport where he was given a red carpet welcome this evening. His two-day state visit to Rwanda — one of Africa’s fastest-growing economies — assumes significance as this is the first by an Indian premier. Prime Minister Modi will hold bilateral meetings with President Paul Kagame, delegation-level talks and meetings with the business and the Indian communities, a statement from the Prime Minister’s Office said. He will also visit the Genocide Memorial and participate in an event on “Girinka” (one cow per family), a national social protection scheme of Rwanda initiated by Kagame. A defence cooperation agreement is also expected to be signed between India and Rwanda during the visit, T S Tirumurti, secretary (Economic Relations) in the Ministry of External Affairs, said in New Delhi last week. India will also be opening a mission in Rwanda very soon, Tirumurti said. “During this visit, we expect to conclude two lines of credit — one of USD 100 million for development of industrial parks and Kigali special economic zone (SEZ), and another one for USD 100 million for agriculture and irrigation,” he said. An important element of the programme would be the prime minister’s visit to Rweru Model Village where he will gift 200 cows as a contribution from India to the ‘Girinka’ scheme of Rwanda, Tirumurti said. Under ‘Girinka’, a social protection scheme of the Rwandan government personally overseen by President Kagame, poorest families are gifted dairy cows by the government and the first female calf born to the cow is gifted to the neighbour, thus promoting brotherhood and solidarity. The cows to be gifted by India would be sourced from Rawanda. “We expect agreements to be concluded in the areas of defence, dairy cooperation, leather, agriculture, and culture,” he said. #ttnnews #news please subscribe for more latest updates.. भारत के साथ रूस का प्रस्ताव / Russia offers to jointly design, build submarines

02:40
India has received a joint submarine design and construction proposal from Russia to build on the technology transfer acquired while building the nuclear fleet, and promises to drastically reduce the cost of Navy’s next-generation vessel plan. The proposal, believed to have been discussed at the top level during the Sochi summit in May, offers an alternative to an upcoming $10 b P 75I tender for six new diesel electric submarines that the Navy requires. These are to be fitted with an Air Independent Propulsion (AIP) system that significantly increases their ability to stay underwater. The Russian side has offered a transfer of all intellectual property for the design and prototype construction. This will mean that there are also no limits to the number of submarines that can be built under the project...,” officials familiar with the details told ET. While the current plan is to go in for a global competitive process that will involve companies from Russia, France, Germany and Sweden, the official proposal from Moscow is for a government-to-government deal for joint design with the Advanced Technology Vessel Project (ATVP). This is the project that gave India its first nuclear armed submarine, the INS Arihant, which was constructed in Vizag with considerable assistance from Russia. please subscribe for more latest updates.. s-400 पर बदले अमेरिका के तेवर / America changed over india russia S-400 deal

02:24
The transformation of America has changed over the S-400 deal between India and Russia. The US has given a very soft response to this issue. The United States said that the purpose of the ban was to punish Russia for its malignant behavior. In Russia's defense sector, the flow of money has to be stopped. American Embassy spokesman Jenny Lee said, "The purpose of implementing the ban on Russia is not to demean the military capabilities of our colleagues and partners. We can not make a prejudice to any kind of ban. " Actually, the United States was threatening to ban any defense purchase from Russia. However, on Friday, when India signed an agreement to purchase the S-400 missile defense system from Russia, the US speed changed. Earlier it was said that this deal between India and Russia would annoy America. In fact, the US has banned any defense purchase from Russia through the Countering American Advocacy Through Saints Act (CAATSA). This led to the idea that India could be annoyed by buying S-400 missile systems from Russia. However this did not happen. Despite the threats from the US on sanctions, India on Friday signed an agreement to buy S-400 missile defense systems with Russia. During this, Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Russian President Vladimir Putin announced a joint press conference in New Delhi to work together in the field of defense and security. Under the S-400 agreement, India will buy 5 sets of missile defense systems from Russia. After signing Prime Minister Narendra Modi's bilateral talks with Russian President Vladimir Putin, the deal was signed in New Delhi. There are 8 agreements between India and Russia. Delegation level talks were held between the two leaders on Friday in Hyderabad House. visit - WWW.TTNNEWS.IN please subscribe for more latest updates.. चीनी विशेषज्ञ ने कहा भारत से सीख लो / China should learn from India’s mature stock market

03:01
From - global times A sharp contrast in the performances of the stock markets in India and the Chinese mainland in the past decade, during which Indian stocks outperformed that in the Chinese mainland, has shed light shortcomings in the domestic stock market and prompted calls in China to learn from the mature stock market system in India. Since October 2008, Indian stocks have gained by 394 percent, while the main index in the Chinese mainland has only risen 70 percent, according to the calculation of the Global Times. "Compared with the Chinese mainland stock market, India is more mature. It has far more foreign institutional investor (FIIs) with a high tolerance for risk, whereas the Chinese market is made up by mostly speculative private investors. This makes China's A-Share market very volatile and sensitive to financial risks," Liu Xiaoxue, an associate research fellow at the Chinese Academy of Social Sciences' National Institute of International Strategy, told the Global Times on Thursday. Liu said the difference reflects the Indian equity market's long history compared with the market in China. The Bombay Stock Exchange, set up in 1875, was Asia's first stock exchange, while the first stock exchange in the Chinese mainland was set up in 1990. In addition, she said, "India has had a massive trade deficit for decades. As a result, it's done a lot of homework in attracting overseas investors such as FIIs, including making its stock market infrastructure compliant with international standards so as to protect investors' interests," Liu noted. Chinese regulators should learn from India in this regard, Liu added. the Indian stock market allows the free flow of capital and most important, has shorting mechanisms that allow investors to hedge against risks. But the Chinese mainland's share market, because of the presence of State-owned enterprises, finds it hard to design such a mechanism, she said. China's protection of shareholders' interests is also inadequate compared with that in India. In China, experts said, some firms have fabricated their financial records so that they could cash out after being listed in the market. Liu Xuezhi, a senior analyst at Bank of Communications, told the Global Times on Thursday that the uptick in India's stock market also shows the world's confidence in its robust economy. In the first quarter, India's GDP grew by 7.7 percent, accelerating from the 7 percent growth rate in the fourth quarter of 2017, reports show. Liu said the Indian market may benefit from China's ongoing trade row with the US. "As concerns over trade tension linger, anyone looking to invest in Asian emerging markets may turn to India over China," Liu said. But he cautioned that some A shares are undervalued because of the trade issue and fluctuations in the yuan's exchange rate. #ttnnews #news please subscribe for more latest updates.. 12 अरब डॉलर का लोन नहीं मिला तो बर्बाद हो जाएगा पाक / PAK need $12 billion in loans immediately

02:23
Faced with an acute financial crisis left behind by the previous government, Pakistan’s incoming finance minister estimates the economy may need more than $12 billion infusion of loans within six weeks. The minister designate Asad Umar, a former head of Pakistani conglomerate Engro Corporation said the nation’s financing gap is somewhere between $10bn to $12bn, though the new government would need a bit extra so it doesn’t “live on the edge,” he said in an interview with Bloomberg news. He also promised to make all Chinese agreements public after criticism of Beijing’s opaque Belt and Road loan terms. “The decision needs to be taken in the next six weeks, the further you go forward the more difficult, the more expensive the options become,” Umar, 56, said in Islamabad. Pakistan could turn to the International Monetary Fund, friendly countries and issue Diaspora bonds to bolster the nation’s depleting reserves, he said. Pakistan’s deteriorating financial situation is a key challenge for new leader Imran Khan, the ex-cricket captain who is attempting to form a coalition government after winning the most seats in last week’s election. Many investors and analysts see a bailout from China or the IMF as inevitable. Foreign-exchange reserves have slumped this year on the back of a widening current-account deficit, prompting the central bank to devalue the currency four times since December and hike interest rates. Moody’s Investors Service downgraded the nation’s outlook to negative last month, citing the nation’s worsening finances. Mr Umar said Tehreek-i-Insaf hasn’t yet spoken to any potential lenders. “No formal work can be started until the government is formed,” he said. If Pakistan asks the IMF for support, it won’t be the first time. The nation has gone through decades of debt blowouts and balance-of-payment imbalances and 12 IMF programmes since the late 1980s. The amount of Chinese loans given to Pakistan over the last 13 months alone comes close to the IMF’s last bailout of $6.6bn. Those vast debts from Beijing have prompted worries from US Secretary of State Mike Pompeo, who said this week he would be watching to see if Khan’s new government uses IMF funds to pay off the opaque Chinese loans. Umar said he would bring more transparency to the more than $60bn Belt and Road infrastructure projects in Pakistan and hit back at Pompeo’s comments. “One friendly advice to the Americans, we’ll worry about our Chinese debt, but I think they better handle their own Chinese debt first,” he said. “We have a serious external debt problem, I’m not saying we don’t,” though “we don’t have a Chinese debt problem.” With Pakistan’s finances under stress, Khan may struggle to implement his plans to create an “Islamic welfare state.” The 65-year-old leader has been coy about how he will fund his expansionist plans, though he said in an interview last month that loans would be needed in the short term. Reiterating comments made by his leader Imran Khan to Bloomberg in July, Umar said his party won’t attempt to privatise Pakistan’s bloated and loss-making state companies such as Pakistan International Airlines and Pakistan Steel Mills. #ttnnews #news please subscribe for more latest updates.. भारत को US हाईटेक प्रोडक्ट्स निर्यात में रियाय/US gives India Strategic Trade Authorisation-1 status

02:00
The United States eased export controls for high technology product sales to India, granting it the same access as NATO allies — Australia, Japan and South Korea. US Commerce Secretary Wilbur Ross on Monday said that the move to grant Strategic Trade Authorisation (STA-1) status to India reflects its efforts to improve its own export-control regime, its adherence to multilateral export rules and its growing status as a US defence partner. “STA-1 provides India with greater supply chain efficiency, both for defence, and for other high-tech products,” Ross said, adding that the elevated status would have affected about $9.7 billion worth of Indian goods purchases over the past seven years. India’s ambassador to the United States, Navtej Singh Sarna lauded the development and said,“It is a sign of trust, not only in the relationship but also (in) Indian’s capabilities as an economy and as a security partner, because it also presupposes that India has the multilateral export control regime in place which would allow the transfer of more sensitive defense technologies,” he said. India's inclusion is beneficial mostly for the purposes of increasing the speed of sale of high-tech defence and non-defence products that are otherwise subjected to strict controls and licensing, Hindustan Times reported. The move means that India can get easy access to latest defence technologies, with the reduction of the number of licenses needed for exports from the US. It is also a boost for the foundational Communications, Compatibility and Security Agreement (COMCASA), according to analysts. “It’s significant,” Benjamin Schwartz, a former defence department official who is now with the US-India Business Council said to Hindustan Times. “Looking at current exports from the US to India, 50% of those are eligible now under STA-1. This can free up $2.1 billion in trade, make US exporters more competitive in the global marketplace, help provide India more advanced US technology.” India and the United States share an interest in countering China’s expanding economic and military weight and the United States has emerged as a top arms supplier to India, selling more than $15 billion of weapons over the past decade as New Delhi modernizes its Soviet-era military. It is a timely announcement as it comes ahead of the 2+2 dialogue scheduled for early September when US Secretary of State Mike Pompeo and Defence Secretary James Mattis are due to visit India and meet with their counterparts, he said #ttnnews #news please subscribe for more latest updates.. डॉलर से मुकाबले के लिए साथ रुपया-रूबल / Russia India considering the use of rupee-rubles

02:13
Russian President Vladimir Putin is on a tour of India Focus on his visit this time is on the point that Prime Minister Narendra Modi and the Russians in their midst should be forwarded the understanding made during the informal meeting held in the Sochi Society of Russia. But both the countries can try to find ways to reduce the dependence on the dollar and make any arrangement for the rupee-ruble (business currency) in Russia-currency etc. Significantly, the Indian government is disturbed by the continuous decline in the price of the rupee against the dollar. Therefore, instead of using dollars, the two countries are considering the use of rupee-rubles or any other such currency which has no US effect. Although Russia has been insisting on it for quite a while, but India has been reluctant to take it due to the fall in ruble in the past years. we has received information that the governments and businessmen of both the countries are talking about a system on the use of rupees and rubles in payment and transactions so that cooperation in economic, trade and defense sectors in both countries Continue in uninterrupted manner. Indian representative of Gasprom Bank of Russia, Mitrekkin told INDIA TODAY-Aajtak that the banking community has been demanding such a system for the last two-three years. He said that talking only on this will not work and will have to take some concrete steps. Mityekin said, 'I am quite sure that this system can be fully effective. The issue is that everyone is accustomed to working in dollars. There are structures for this, there are bank accounts and processes too. You will have to do all this in rupee-ruble, for which time and money will be spent. Prime Minister Modi and Russia's President Putin can sign up to nearly 20 agreements in defense ranges from nuclear energy, space and economy. visit - WWW.TTNNEWS.IN please subscribe for more latest updates.. भारत को बहोत बड़ी सफलता फास्ट ब्रीडर रिएक्टर/ India's first fast breeder reactor by 2019

01:34
country's first indigenously developed 500-megawatt (MW) prototype fast breeder reactor at Kalpakkam in Tamil Nadu is expected to achieve criticality next year, a senior official said. The project, which was earlier expected to be commissioned in 2012, has missed several deadlines. "Our indigenously developed prototype fast breeder reactor of 500 MW is now undergoing sodium commissioning. We expect criticality next year," Department of Atomic Energy (DAE) secretary Sekhar Basu said at the 62th General Conference of International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) held in Vienna. Achieving criticality means that the reactor is fully operational and safe. The design of the country's first fast breeder reactor, called Prototype Fast Breeder Reactor (PFBR), was done by the Indira Gandhi Centre for Atomic Research (IGCAR). Bharatiya Nabhikiya Vidyut Nigam (Bhavini), a public sector company under DAE, has been given the responsibility to build the fast breeder reactors in the country. In a statement issued by the DAE, Basu said that India's plans to build 21 reactors by 2030 was well on track. visit - WWW.TTNNEWS.IN please subscribe for more latest updates.. भारतीय अंतरिक्ष यात्री 7 दिन अंतरिक्ष मे इसरो / ISRO WILL PUT MAN IN SPACE FOR 7 DAYS

03:16
first time, India's space agency is planning to put an Indian astronaut for seven days in space at a cost less than Rs 10,000 crore as part of its manned mission by 2022, ISRO Chairman K. Sivan said on 15 August. With Prime Minister Narendra Modi giving the Indian Space Research Organisation the target to be achieved in the next four years, Sivan told IANS. "Our plan is to have a human being in space for seven days and not less than that.""He will be in a spacecraft, 300-400 km above the earth," Sivan said, as he explained that the rocket to be used for the manned mission would be a Geosynchronous Satellite Launch Vehicle Mark III (GSLV-Mk III). CPEC पर चीन को पाक ने दिया का झटका / Pakistan can’t afford any further debt with China

02:25
Pakistan’s railway minister, Sheikh Rasheed, says he will reduce a Chinese-funded $8.2 billion rail investment plan by $2 billion. Upgrading Pakistan’s trains is a pillar of the massive $62 billion China Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC). He says he cannot afford the debt and has even talked of another cut of the same amount. Mr Rasheed reflects the Imran Khan government’s sober view that Pakistan’s economic future is endangered by the intersection of two dangerous practices. One is Beijing’s use of debt-funded infrastructure to extend its geopolitical reach. The other is Pakistan’s long-standing addiction to overseas borrowing. China’s Belt Road Initiative, of which CPEC is the flagship project, today faces a backlash from many of its supposed beneficiaries. Malaysia and Myanmar are among the other major partners who have suspended or asked to renegotiate the terms of these infrastructure projects. The hapless condition of Sri Lanka is already well-known. Mr Khan’s government has said it wants to cure Pakistan of its chronic financial illnesses. Mr Rasheed’s statement is a small sign it recognises this will not be possible if CPEC is allowed to continue in its present form. The other side of the coin is to change Pakistan’s macroeconomic path. Its political and military elites have developed a fondness for expensive capital projects designed to wow voters, generate bursts of growth and produce kickbacks. They have simply ignored the reforms needed to boost domestic productivity and ensure long-term growth. These showcase projects depend on imported inputs and foreign capital and leave a financial hangover of debts and deficits. visit - WWW.TTNNEWS.IN please subscribe for more latest updates.. मालदीव को महंगा पड़ा भारत से टकराना / UNSC India against Maldives, ensured it lost

02:16
Did India vote for the Maldives or Indonesia at the recent elections for the UN Security Council non-permanent seat? While Male continues to claim India's support + in the face of reports that the government might have voted against it, diplomatic sources told ToI that India didn't just vote for Indonesia but also worked to ensure that its hostile Indian Ocean neighbour fared poorly in the election. Indonesia finally trumped Male's bid for the Asia-Pacific seat by an overwhelming margin. The Maldives got support from only 46 countries in the secret ballot voting on June 8 against the 144 which voted for Indonesia. Details percolating through now indicate that not only did India not vote for the Maldives but also worked to ensure that the latter's core base of small island nations was considerably eroded. This meant that Male's final tally fell well short of even its own expectations. It's well known that many of these countries pick their cues from India which signalled to them to support Indonesia. Male, at one stage, was claiming to have support from 60 countries in writing and 30 verbally. While some may be tempted to dismiss India's vote as only of academic interest, given Indonesia's victory margin, it is still significant in the context of the strife in ties with Male in the recent past. That despite having pledged support to Male earlier, India worked against it will be seen by many as the first punitive action against the Maldives, a country which under President Abdulla Yameen is believed to have worked overtime to undermine India's security interests in Indian Ocean. India is still smarting under Male's decision to ask Indian authorities to remove both its "gifted" helicopters + from the Maldives by June end and also under its instructions to immigration officials to put on hold fresh work permits for Indians. Both these decisions were reported first by ToI on June 5 #ttnnews #news please subscribe for more latest updates.. ब्रिटेन ने भारत के लिए ,चीन पर दहाड़ा यू / Britain lends unconditional support to India for NSG

Apart from the support of countries like the United States, Russia and France, India also has "unconditional support" by Britain for its membership bid to the Nuclear Suppliers Group (NSG). The UK reiterated its support saying India has done enough to merit an entry into the elite group, according to a report in The Times of India. After a meeting between the officials of the Ministry of External Affairs (MEA) and UK's Foreign and Commonwealth Office, a diplomatic source was quoted as saying in the report, "India has the right credentials for NSG membership and we believe it should be a member. Only the Chinese can explain what objections they have to India's membership. UK has offered support for India's membership bid to the group. In 2013, Britain stepped up its efforts to let India join the global body and pressed its case in a paper prepared ahead of the NSG’s annual meeting that year. It argued that India qualifies because of the size of its civilian atomic industry and its commitment to stopping the spread of military material. visit - WWW.TTNNEWS.IN please subscribe for more latest updates.. चीन हुआ तैयार, भारत पर कम आयात कर / China ready to slash Indian medicine tariffs

02:53
China and India have entered in an agreement to reduce tariffs and increase imports of Indian medicines, particularly anti-cancer drugs, part of moves to broaden its trade relations amid its on-going spat with the United States. Both India and China slashed import tariffs of a range of products starting July 1, following the fourth round of negotiations under the Asia Pacific Trade Agreement (APTA), which also includes Bangladesh, Laos, South Korea and Sri Lanka. China said it would reduce tariffs on 8549 items including chemical and agricultural products, while India would do likewise for 3142 products. India has particularly pressed China to open up its market for pharmaceuticals, which was highlighted by Prime Minister Narendra Modi during the April 28 Wuhan Summit with President Xi. The Chinese Foreign Ministry said on Monday that China and India had reached an agreement on reducing tariffs on Indian medicines, especially anti-cancer drugs. There is widespread demand in China for Indian anticancer drugs which are often one-tenth the cost of the Western drugs that are available in China. Indian drugs, especially cancer curing medicines, are in big demand in China as they are far cheaper. About 4.3 million people are diagnosed with cancer annually in China. In May, China had lifted tariffs on the import of cancer drugs. India has been demanding the opening of China's IT and medicine sectors as part of measures to reduce over USD 51 billion trade deficit in over USD 84 billion bilateral trade. Both the sides have stepped up negotiation to import Indian rice, sugar and pharmaceuticals after a meeting between Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Chinese President Xi Jinping during the April 28 Wuhan informal summit. #ttnnews #news please subscribe for more latest updates.. मालदीव के पूर्व राष्ट्रपति के बयान से चीन नाराज / China annoyed by statement of Maldives

02:13
Chinese government is annoyed with the statement of former President of Maldives, Mohammad Nasheed, who is living in exile. Nasheed said after the defeat of Chinese supporter Abdullah Yameen in the Maldives that the new government could audit China's investments made in Maldives and audit of all plans. The Solihiya government will again work towards strengthening ties with India. This statement has said that China has hurt feelings and is disappointing. Let's say that the foreign policy of Mohammad Nasheed's foreign policy was more towards India. After that, the Yaman government, which took charge after him, continued to distance itself with India and stressed on making China a key ally of investment and foreign policy. "We are confused with the statement of the former President and regret their irresponsible statement," said the statement issued by the Chinese Foreign Ministry spokesman. Responding to the statement, the Chinese Foreign Ministry said, "This statement is going to hurt the original sentiments of the allies policy for neighboring countries of China. We are also looking forward to working with the Maldives in the future, keeping in mind the better relations and equality and the interest of both the nations. The relations with the Maldives of China in the Yemen government were very strong. The Yemen government had stamped the free trade decision with China without any discussion in Parliament. मालदीव पर भड़के श्रीलंका बंगलादेश / India, Bangladesh, Sri Lanka boycotts Maldives, bridge

02:11
China's flagship infrastructure project in the Maldives, a bridge linking capital Male with the airport island, has again brought into focus the widening gulf between India and its Indian Ocean neighbour. India chose to stay away from the inauguration on Thursday of what is officially known as the Sinamale Bridge with its ambassador Akhilesh Mishra not attending the event. "He had been invited by our government but he didn't come," said a top Maldivian government official. Indian officials chose not to comment on the issue. Mishra’s decision to skip the inauguration, which took place in the presence of a representative of Chinese President Xi Jinping and was marked by Chinese fireworks, was justified later with envoys of other countries being allegedly treated shabbily by President Abdulla Yameen's security staff at the event. The Maldivian opposition alleged that only the Chinese ambassador’s car was allowed to drive up to the venue. "Ambassadors of Sri Lanka and Bangladesh boycotted the bridge inauguration event as their cars were stopped by Yameen’s security and they were asked to walk. Only Chinese ambassador’s car was allowed to pass up to the venue. Such an insult to traditional friends," tweeted MP and joint opposition spokesperson Ahmed Mahloof. #ttnnews #news please subscribe for more latest updates.. भारत रूस में होगी वॉरशिप डील / India, Russia likely to sign warship deal

02:40
India and Russia are expected to hammer out a deal for four more Krivak/Talwar class stealth frigates for the navy in October when Prime Minister Narendra Modi and president Vlamidir Putin meet in New Delhi for an annual summit between the two countries, two senior officials familiar with the matter, said on Tuesday. Two of the warships will be constructed at the Yantar Shipyard in Kaliningrad and the remaining two at the Goa Shipyard Limited (GSL). GSL chairman Shekhar Mita, a retired rear admiral, said the two countries have completed the groundwork for signing the deal. “After the contract is signed, Russia will take four years to deliver the two warships. We will take six years to build the first warship and one more year to deliver the second,” said Mital, who was part of an Indian delegation that visited the Yantar Shipyard in August. India inked an Inter-Governmental Agreement (IGA) with Russia for the four frigates in 2016. The navy currently operates six stealth frigates — three Talwar class and three Teg class — bought from Russia and inducted between 2003 and 2013. The new Grigorovich-class ‘Project 1135.6’ frigates will be powered by gas turbine engines to be supplied by Ukrainian firm Ukroboronprom’s Gas Turbine Research & Production Complex Zorya-Mashproekt. Several Russian delegations have visited GSL and are satisfied with the facilities there. The two countries are also likely to sign a Rs 39,000-crore deal for the supply of the Russian S-400 Triumf air defence missile systems to India during the summit, brushing aside Washington’s concerns about the purchase. The S-400 is capable of destroying jets, missiles and unmanned aerial vehicles at a range of 400km. #ttnnews #news please subscribe for more latest updates.. चीन 10 लाख मुस्लिम को बंदी बना करवाया ये / 10 lakh Muslims arrested by China

02:15
A UN anti-discrimination committee raised concerns over China's treatment of the Uighur Muslim minority, citing reports of mass detentions as it considered Beijing's record over recent years. The Committee on the Elimination of Racial Discrimination started reviewing China's report in Geneva yesterday. Chinese delegation leader Yu Jianhua highlighted economic progress and rising living standards among other things. Committee vice-chairwoman Gay McDougall said members are "deeply concerned" by "numerous and credible reports that we have received that, in the name of combating religious extremism and maintaining social stability, (China) has turned the Uighur autonomous region into something that resembles a massive internment camp that is shrouded in secrecy." Monitoring groups say the Uighurs have been targeted in a surveillance and security campaign that has sent thousands into detention and indoctrination centers. McDougall suggested the number might be considerably higher. "There are reports of mass detentions of ethnic Uighurs and other Turkic Muslim minorities," she said. "There are estimates that upwards of a million people are being held in so-called counter-extremism centers and another 2 million have been forced into so-called re-education camps for political and cultural indoctrination." She did not specify a source for that information in her remarks at the hearing. #ttnnews #news please subscribe for more latest updates.. भारत के चंद्रयान-1 की मदद से NASA ने जुटाए आंकड़े / NASA raises data with the help of Chandrayaan-1

03:02
India’s second moon mission Chandrayaan-2 will now be launched in the January-March window in 2019 instead of later this year as the design was changed to enable it to land on the lunar surface, a top ISRO official said on Sunday. “We have planned to launch Chandrayaan mission in January 3. We are fixing with that (date) and targeting that. But that is an open window. We can go up to March also. As we are coming closer (the date), we may miss the target,” he said. The reason for postponing the mission was that there were certain important changes made in the design so that it could easily land on the lunar surface, he said. He was speaking on the sidelines of a function, where the bust of Dr Vikram Sarabhai, the architect of the Indian space mission, was unveiled. Asked why the weight of Chandrayaan-2 was increased by 600 kg, he said ISRO noticed during experiments that after the moon lander was ejected, the satellite would shake. So they decided that the design modification was required for landing and mass has to be increased. “We also realised that the orbiter required more phases, which required more fuel,” he told reporters. On the space agency’s future missions, Sivan said ISRO also plans to launch 50 satellites in the next three years. The space agency would launch 22 satellites in 2019, the maximum in any year in the history of ISRO, he said. “Next year from February to December we plan to have 22 missions with almost two missions per month, which is a very important activity. This tight schedule of programmes we are doing for the first time. We have set a target. We may not be able to achieve but we are targeting it. So many missions in a year is a huge target for the first time in the history of ISRO,” Sivan said. The remaining months of 2018 would also be very hectic for ISRO as it plans to launch at least two missions every month, he said. “Our next mission is PSLV C42, which will launch NOVASAT and S1-4. These two satellites are commercial satellites from the UK. It is a commercial mission and is planned in September. Subsequently, we have two missions each month,” the ISRO chief said. #ttnnews #news please subscribe for more latest updates.. भारत की डिफेंस डील 110 लड़ाकू जेट विमान खरीद/ US welcomes India for world's biggest Defence deal

02:29
American aerospace and defence major Lockheed Martin has welcomed India's mega procurement initiative for fighter jets worth over USD 15 billion and said that it looks forward to responding to the initial tender. India yesterday began the process to acquire a fleet of around 110 fighter jets in one of the biggest such procurements in recent years globally which could be worth over USD 15 billion. At least 85 per cent of the aircraft will have to be made in India while 15 per cent of them can be in a flyaway condition. An RFI (Request for Information) or initial tender for the mega-deal was issued by the Indian Air Force and the procurement will be in sync with the government's 'Make in India' initiative in the defence sector, officials said. "Lockheed Martin welcomes India's fighter aircraft Request for Information (RFI) and we look forward to responding to it," said Dr Vivek Lall, vice president, strategy and business development at Lockheed Martin. "The F-16 remains the only aircraft programme in this competition with the proven performance and industrial scale to meet India's operational needs and 'Make in India' priorities including unmatched export opportunities," he said. Indian-American Lall was last year instrumental in the decision of the Trump administration to sell top-of-the-line unarmed drones from General Atomics. Lockheed Martin has positioned the newest Block 70 variant of its F-16 aircraft for the Indian Air Force, while Boeing has offered its F/A-18 Super Hornet Block III for the Indian Navy. "The two aircraft have been positioned complementarily, and the purchase of the pair is an interesting proposition for policymakers from both countries," US-based think-tank Atlantic Council said in a report released in New Delhi yesterday. please subscribe for more latest updates.. नासा कर रहा बीनू की जांच, टकरायेगा धरती से / NASA spacecraft approaches asteroid Bennu, pic

02:02
Two years after launching from Florida, a NASA spacecraft is closing in on an ancient asteroid, Bennu, for a sample of space dust that could reveal clues to the start of life in the solar system. The spacecraft, OSIRIS-REx — Origins, Spectral Interpretation, Resource Identification, Security-Regolith Explorer — has even snapped its first, blurry picture of the cosmic body, which is about the size of a small mountain, about 500 meters in diameter. The spacecraft is designed to circle Bennu, and reach out with a robotic arm to "high-five" its surface, then return the sample it collects to Earth in 2023. The first images of Bennu were taken on August 17 at a distance of 2.3 million kilometers from the $800 million spacecraft. "This is the closest we have even been to Bennu," said Dante Lauretta, OSIRIS-REx principal investigator at the University of Arizona, Tucson. "This is significant in that we are now in the vicinity of the asteroid, closer than we have ever been even during the close approaches of the asteroid to the Earth #ttnnews #news please subscribe for more latest updates.. हिंद महासागर सम्मेलन में चीन पर कसा तंज / Indian Ocean Conference Sushma Swaraj

02:31
India is now devoting more resources and assigning greater priority to building connectivity in its immediate neighbourhood, external affairs minister Sushma Swaraj has said, amidst cash-rich China pushing its 'Belt and Road Initiative' in the region. Addressing the 3rd Indian Ocean Conference in the Vietnamese capital, Swaraj said that in an inter-dependent world characterised by enhanced economic and trade linkages, the importance of sustainable use of the ocean resources cannot be overstated. File image of external affairs minister Sushma Swaraj. APFile image of external affairs minister Sushma Swaraj. AP She said India considers the Indian Ocean Rim Association (IORA) as an important instrument for achieving peace and security in the region. Elaborating India's approach, she said it focuses on developing hinterland linkages and regional connectivity. "Under our government's 'Sagarmala' project, initiatives have been taken including building new ports and modernising old ones, developing inland waterways and hinterland development are all aimed at a robust maritime logistics infrastructure. "Our eastern seaboard is a particular focus and can help recreate an integrated hub and spoke model for regional connectivity in the Bay of Bengal," she said. Carrying this focus beyond our borders, India is today devoting more resources and assigning greater priority to building connectivity, contacts and cooperation in the country's immediate neighbourhood, the minister, who is in Vietnam on a two-day bilateral visit, said. The Belt and Road Initiative (BRI), mooted by Chinese president Xi Jinping in 2013, is an ambitious project being developed by Beijing to enhance its role on the international stage by funding and building infrastructure projects abroad, including in Pakistan, Nepal and Sri Lanka. Some of the Beijing-backed projects in these countries have run into complaints that they are too costly. #ttnnews #news please subscribe for more latest updates.. सुब्रायमान्यम के ट्वीट पर यू भड़का मालदीव / Maldives Calls Indian Envoy Upset Over Swamy's Tweet

02:14
Senior BJP leader and Rajya Sabha MP Subramanian Swamy on Tuesday stuck to his guns regarding his comment on the Maldives that reportedly saw the latter calling up the Centre. Speaking to ANI, Swamy said, “Indian citizens in Maldives can’t be ill-treated. It is my opinion that India has the responsibility to protect its citizens for which invasion is necessary. I don’t represent the government.” He had taken to Twitter as well, asking why the Maldives’ government was upset with his remark. Why is the present Govt of Maldives upset by my “If then” statement that if Maldive’s Sept 24th general election is rigged then India should invade that nation? Already Indians in that nation are fearing reprisals. We have to protect our citizens. A report in The Indian Express said that Maldives Foreign Secretary Ahmed Sareer summoned Indian High Commissioner Akhilesh Mishra on Sunday to convey Male’s “displeasure” at the tweet. The Maldives government has also submitted a demarche to the Indian government, expressing its shock at the statement. The meeting between Sareer and Mishra was followed by a meeting with ambassadors from seven countries, who were briefed by the government about the upcoming elections in Maldives which will be held on September 23. On August 24, Swamy had tweeted: “India should invade the Maldives if rigging of election takes place”. The tweet included a link to a Maldivian news report on a meeting between Swamy and former Maldives President Mohamed Nasheed in Colombo. Swamy is known for his controversial statements. Earlier he had called cricketer-turned-politician Navjot Sidhu of an “unstable mind” for accepting Imran Khan’s invite for his swearing-in ceremony as the Prime Minister of Pakistan. After Congress President Rahul Gandhi hugged PM Modi, Swamy had commented that the latter should get himself medically tested. #ttnnews #news please subscribe for more latest updates.. इमरान सरकार से सिंधु जल समझौता पर बात / Indian arrived at pak to discuss Indus Waters Treaty

01:48
A delegation of Indian officials arrived in Pakistan on Tuesday to hold talks on issues relating to the implementation of the Indus Waters Treaty between the two countries, the first bilateral engagement between the two countries since Prime Minister Imran Khan took office. Pakistan Water Commissioner Syed Mehr Ali Shah and additional commissioner Sheraz Jamil received the nine-member Indian delegation led by Water Commissioner P K Saxena on arrival via the Attari-Wagah border crossing, one of the few such border points between India and Pakistan. Shah said talks between the two countries will be held on water issues on Wednesday and Thursday in Lahore, PTI reported. The talks are the first official engagement between India and Pakistan since Khan became prime minister on 18 August. The last meeting of the Pakistan-India Permanent Indus Commission was held in New Delhi in March during which both sides shared details of the water flow and the quantum of water being used under the 1960 Indus Waters Treaty. India and Pakistan signed the treaty in 1960 after nine years of negotiations, with the World Bank being a signatory. The treaty sets out a mechanism for cooperation and information exchange between the two countries regarding their use of rivers. However, there were disagreements and differences between India and Pakistan over the treaty. Shah said Pakistan raised objections on the 1,000 MW Pakal Dul and 48 MW Lower Kalnai hydroelectric projects on River Chenab, and would like India to either modify the designs to make them compliant to the 1960 Indus Waters Treaty or put the projects on hold until New Delhi satisfied Islamabad. #ttnnews #news please subscribe for more latest updates..
